I want to make my blog more interactive. So ive decided to create a post called Fan Fest. Alot of my buddies have had the priviledge of watching certain big games live. The atmosphere they say is incredible.

Istanbul 2005 is Yusuf bhamjees photo's from last years Champions League Final. The man is one of the die hard Liverpudians I know. He said to me that to come down from 3 goals down and win the Champins League was SUBLIME in my terms. He said it was unbelievable. There must be no feeling like it. I couldnt believe the Supersport Muggs when Hash scored that fifty at the Wanderers. They kept saying that the man Cant play Bouncers. I mean what the F&?5. What has Rudolph, Boje, Dippenar and those okes done.
I mean give a oke a debut in the most intimidating environment in Cricket-Eden Gardens . Come On. Hash was unlucky in India.
BUT I am so glad that the man f*(ked them up and is our best player of spin at the moment.
Although Murali can be devastating. Unless he looks like the way he looked when I seen him in Dockside's a few years ago.

DEL PIERO-I LOVE THIS CLUB

Juve have been unfairly dealt with. However the projidical son remains. Del along with Buffon and Nedved are staying to help Juve's Cause. This is sublime for me and whatever injustices have been served sources from Turin Strongly state that Juventus will appeal this decision and even take it to High Court. Over the last few days I have been casting my mind back over the course of the season, one which ended with our 29th scudetto, my seventh with the Bianconeri. There are so many moments that brought us together and that I have imprinted in my mind and heart. I want to begin with last one, the roar that welcomed me to the pitch in Bari, where you had gathered across Italy, the umpteenth demonstration of affection that I have recieved in my 13 years, but in reality many more.

I tried to think back to my childhood and the first time that I recieved a Juventus Shirt. Its very moving to reflect on our history, from November 1st 1897 when a group of men sitting on a bench decided to form a football club to that teams eventual adoption by the Agnelli family, who have never abandoned it and continue, generation after generation, to foster its growth and development with enormous passion. The same passion that unites all of us.

I still remember when I arrived here in 1993 and met Giovani Agnelli for the first time, a towering presence in the same mould as his brother Umberto. I remember the first goals, the first wins, and your affection as it grew over time: we have grown up with one another, experienced joy and occasional disappointment, but it is in sharing these moments, great and less so, that our bond strengthened. I love this club, I have said it before and i will say it again, and everything that it represents, for me, and for you...When we celebrated my goalscoring record together, it wasnt the goals that have made me so happy, rather it was what they represented: a place in Juventus's history, something I have dreamed of since I was a little boy but never imagined would become a reality.

I'm exceptionally proud to be a 'Juventino', to be a flag bearer, as I'm often called, but in reality I'm only a small part of Juventus whole that grows with the passing of the years. Whoever we will employ they will take us all the way and then Jomo will come in two weeks before the World Cup. I long to see the days when we had players like Helman "Midnight" Express Makhalele. Linda "Mercedez Benz" Buthelezi, Shane McCgregor for crying out loud. I'l personally go with Gordon Ingesund. I think the bloke has got what it takes and is not greedy like the foreign coaches. Or better yet Why dont we call Guna Padayachee, Our Oliver Khan, Gavin Lane, or even Terry Paine MBE can do the blasted job. What are your owes views on this.

This time the Mugg of the week post comes early. My Mugg of the week is the judge who has passed the Verdict that Juve be relegated to Serie B and docked 30 points. Let me tell you Im Fu*$EN Gutted. Its like sakraat for two years. The Mugg has robbed me of two years in my prime. I mean come on You Owes. This shit happens in every League. You owes know that. Tell me it doesnt happen here in SA with our owes locally and Internationaly. Tell me it doesnt happen in the Premiership and the Bundesliga. ITS THE THEORY OF THE KLEEPAH AND THATS IT. Its like the Makoba case at Wits. When we got refused our DP'S for Accounts 1 for not attending TUTS. Then Slim said "Dont Panic .We will get Makoba to fight our case. MY POINT. Everybody f&*ken dopped their tuts. We were dealt with harshly and demoted to Serie B. Makoba or no Makoba. Anyways I know its off the topic but I just had to mention it. Its the same Principle. We were dealt with and punished while other guys commiting the same crime day in and day out were not even questioned. I am devastated. What will the football league be without Juventus. Look guys. I know Moggi f$%ked things up. The world stands to miss out on a great league. I dont know somehow I think after we have won the World Cup, No teams will be relegated. Gosh I remember the days, Liverpool in the 70's, the 80's. Team of the decade. Bill Shankly. The pride of Merseyside. The gates at Anfield."You Will Never Walk Alone." Lets look back and reflect on the greats. KEVIN KEEGAN, JOHN TOSHAK, SOUNESS, McDermott, Whealon, Kennedy Brothers, Phil Neal, Highway, Dalglish, Rush. Ok you get my drift. They were unstoppable and certainly the team of their respective decades. And then came Graeme Souness and he Fu&*(ed the team up single handedly. I mean Yusuf Bhamjee, Coffee, Ebie, W Koor, Goolam Surtee, Ebie Loonat, Rashid Cassim. Talk to me chaps. What was this man thinking. And so we arrive to Torben Piechnik. He was part of the era that included Paul Stewart.................I cant get tortured anymore. I have to stop. It was sad to see a team of greats reach that point with so many MUGGS. So I think Torben Piechnik is this weeks MUGG.

Dont worry Torben, I dont think you were the only MUGG walking alone that time.

FORZA AZURRI-THE FINAL STEP-CIRCUS MAXIMUS

Well, Like I said , What a feeling. But it ends here unfortunately. This post will come alive again when the Euro 2008 qualifiers begin. It was great to have followed my team from training and pre season friendlies right up to Cannavaro lifting the cup. For those of you who sms'd to watch on Monday Evening . Thanks Again. RAI Channel covered everything from the team bus entering Circus Maximus to the dancing and singing that ensued. It was world class seeing the guys parade the trophy around and dancing as we so used to seeing them only on the pitch. The Players sang the anthem again and it was a party!part!party well into the night.They sang their team song, Come on Capitano and Cannavaro scram out for Gianluca Pessoto. Like I said wish I was there.I am planning to put some videos of Circus Maximus up as soon as i figure out some dowloading functionality.

The Squad under Lippi were Solid as a unit and it was team spirit that got the Azurri through. When Totti scored the stopage time penalty and Grosso struck before the penalty shootout and DEL scored I knew this was our cup.And Buffon ! What a keeper. Players that stood out for me were Buffon, Zambrotta, Cannavaro, Grosso, Perotta, Pirlo, De Rossi and I think DeL Piero had a great tournament. Overall This was the best team and unit that I have seen.

FORZA AZURRI-TRIUMPHANT AT LAST

Ok Guys I know you must be tired but hey this comes every four yearsrs and these posts are for die-hard Italian Fans only. I have followed the journey from the beginning and now I must finish with a bang.

I must be honest. It only sunk in on Monday morning. Amidst the Euphoria of winning and the fear of losing-the true aphrodisiac of a gambler. And we did it. It felt great. My phone was inundated with calls and I was extremely excited of getting my pics uploaded and the celebration didnt set in.

On Monday night I sat alone and watch the celebration and the entire match again. I must again stress on how pathetic the coverage on supersport was as they skipped the emotions of the players during extra time and before the penalty shoot outs. Thats what we want to see. I mean its the final for F&*ks sake. I watched the Portugese channel and there was so much that Supersport left out. But when I watched the celebration it was a moment I have been waiting for all my life. To see the Azurri lift the biggest trophy in the world. The confetti flying , the okes dancing. It was word Class.

OK . This issue has been causing alot of intrigue as to why did Zidane get
sent off. I must admit, as a footballer myself it takes something really, really offensive in order to retaliate so severely.

Lat night the following comment was passed It is not confirmed but media reports iterated that the following was said
to Zidane by Materazzi "You Are A Son of a terrorist whore"
Materazzi denied the claim.

My take on this comment. Firstly on this website I donot entertain raciscm
and anti religeous comments toward any race and culture.
. I would like to pay Homage to Zidane as being the greatest
footballer of our modern generation .As in Italian Fan if what was said is true then I am appalled at Materazzi and he should be booted from the Italian Squad.His comment if true has blighted a magnificent campaign for me. Well done Zizou, but you should have left it for after the game. World Cups and especially finals are filled with contoversy and it takes controversy to turn a game on its head.However in this case the sending off cam late and Trezeguet would have still been a first choice penalty kicker.

So for me the sending off has not influenced the game in a big way and the Azurri slotted their 5 penalties. Thats what counts

As sportsman and footballer the debate often arrises about sledging. Sledging is fine to a degree but again here Racism and Religeon should not be integrated with sledging

However from a footballing perspective it is a straight red and theres no
question about that. . These are all speculative reports at this
point and not confirmed. We all now how fickle the media can be. Other media
reports have lambasted him for letting his country down.

Secondly I am a die hard Azurri Supporter. Ive always been and I always will
be.This is based purely on a Football Perspective. There are great
ambasadors in the Italian game like Cannavaro who epitomises gentlemanly
conduct and sportsmanship.

We have waited four years for this victory and I will not let a oke like
Materazzi (if that comment was true) spoil this magnificent victory for me.
I have always been a Del man throughout.

Zidane has played for Juve for many years and was treated with a great deal of respect. In every team and country there are people that thrive on bad things, like racism He was a
Juventus legend and he still is. Victims in the past have included
Viera,Henry, Thuram. And the list is long but distinguished

Well today i sit here and the victory is only starting to kick in now. I am enjoying the moment of giving the okes stick and Rubbing it in..........But I must pay tribute to all the Italian Fans that were alongside me in this campaign and that one again sms'sd me and supported the Azurri throughout. As for the anti Italian MUGGS. All I can say is that we are the "CHAMPIONS". but the biggest fan is the man who has supported the Azurri with me through thick and thin. From France 98 when we got knocked out on penalties to Euro 2000 where Trezeguet fU%$ed us up in the end, To Korea where that Mugg Ahn Jung Whan booted us out,to Euro 2004 where Denmark and Sweden mysteriously drew and too now, from the first game against Ghana to the Final against France. We were on the phone during every game. And we stuck by our Guns Partner.
This time he watched it with his family and I mine. But nevertherless like I said F%&K Bedfordview, It was completed once he arrived at my house for the celebration with the whole KOLVED CLAN.

AN THEN ....YES YOU GUESSED IT .WE WERE OFF TO BEDFORDVIEW TILL THE EARLY HOURs OF THE MORNING . The pictures below were taken before we set off.

BERLIN:NIRVANA DRIVE LENASIA:Unbelievable. Tense but fu$&*ng unbelievable. We did it. And I said believe or not I will loft the trophy next to Cannavaro. Im so pissed of at supersport. What f$ck%n terrible coverage. Every night thay have an extended highlights package. Tonight I have to search the channels for coverage. they not even showing a repeat of the game. Im Pis%&d. Anyways An unbelievable night. I had pictures emailed to me from Berlin, I watched it with my closest okes. I must admit I was in a state of shock. Penalties, Zidanes sending off.Buffons world class save. I sincerely apologise to all those that have phoned me as my phone was going balistic and I recieved tons of messages and multimedia messages. I had to watch the celebration and catch the excitement all at the same time. There was alot of banter amongst the guys and we ended up in a situation where there were only three Italian Fans (Myself, Totti, Cam) against an army of French Supporters (Ebie, Husein, Sol, Firaz, The Jamaals, Feroz Mayet, Swaar, Shazo)."TAKE THE PICTURE!TAKE THE PICTURE!TAKE THE PICTURE". Those that were present will understand. It was like playing in Dortmund all over again.There was alot of rif raf regarding the option of watching the game in Bedfordview and Suede etc. Although I heard Bedfordview was rocking last night with hooters and frenzied partying into the wee hours of the night. I mean after all it's where the Italian Club is. BUT I TELL YOU WHAT! Italian Club,Rome or not I would never trade watching it with my Volende chaps for anything. We have created our own atmosphere over the years and I must admit one thing.

These guys were gracious in defeat. But can you imagine the euphora of winning on penalties and Del Piero scoring his penalty. Unbelievable, Unbelievable. What a night. Im planning to watch the post match celebration again because I missed half of it celebrating and answering my phone. I shudder to think if we lost and Del Piero misssed his penalty. I would have been finished. My guys would have tore me to Shreds. And yet it was a possibilty. But it was my night and I will remeber this for a long time and like I said in my earlier postings, Now was the time Now!

The game was tensed and France in all fairness were playing that fluid style of football in the second half. We were soaking it up until the Zidane red Card changed the course of the whole game. You can only imagine the tension. I would have been distraught if we lost on PENALTIES in a World Cup Final to a Zidane-less & Henry-Less French team. And what makes it better was that Del slotted his penalty home. I cant even imagine if it had to go wrong. But it didnt thankfully. I had to snap these pictures of the Zidane-Less French Muggs.
