VIDEO OF THE WEEK
COKE KNOCKOUTS-RE
WELL DONE TO JIVE AND THE LADS FOR WINNING THE COKE KNOCKOUTS 3-0. ALSO TO SAL AND THE LADS FOR WINNING THE FIRST DIVISION FINAL ON PENALTIES.
It was probably in the class of Ebrahim Butch Badsha running on the pitch, in a balck and white suit praying to the heavens down on one knee on a glorious cup final afternoon. Those that were there can bear witness to this prominant saying
WEEKLY SOCCER ROUND UP

A GUNNERS POINT OF VIEW
You see Everytime the Arsenal ba#$tards start talking Shit, The Perishaans falls over them. The Toppie Arsene was seen again lambasting, hissing and cussing at the referees decision which at most would have granted them a point.Henry's second half curler was ruled out for offside. So to the two most loyal Arsenal Chaps on this blog, please feel free to openly say ur say. They now find themselves 16 points adrift and it was the first time in about 40 years that they lost to Fullham.
But look If they have the luck Utd had in the past they can still pull something out of the Hat.
So I would love to hear what you MUGGS have to say.
THEATER OF DREAMS
Like I always say the more nazr from all of us and the better these b@4%ardos play. Could you just imagine how this blog will be rocking if Utd were in the position of our fellow brothers above.
I thought that Lity Ronaldo was injured. Moosa your guys president must be making alot of dua there as he commences his Ghaj.
But OK OK OK , Well done all you UTD owes on the performance. Everton can be no push overs as we all know
FROM THE KOP END
Cisse, Cisse, Cisse. Ebie Jay. Please I am not going to write anything here today. Will all the Liverpool guys out there post your comments. I want to hear what you guys have to say. Maybe as Faheem_Vahzerz says all the lekker chics have moved to Manchester. What a theory. According to this theory Cape Town will have the best Soccer team. Oh no better! Faheem Vahzerz, Did you hear Gerard is leaving to join CAMPS BAY UTD. The chics are better there. Say your owes say. What the f4%k is the problem here.
I think this season will be an exodus of many of the Liverpool stalwarts including Gerard
CHEL$KI
Ballack scored. Shevchenko didnt....................
I know can safely say that the title race has now become a two horse race with Chelsea and Utd dictating the flow.
Sometimes some teams just refuse to join the fight. They rather LET their palyers concentrate on SA2010

RE-BREAKING NEWS

Well Im back from the wisdom teeth debacle and time to open up the floor again. There are some interesting topics of late that we can debate about. And it will be interesting to hear the bloggers views. Sorry Moosa & Azee, doesnt concern Utd but lets hear what you ba#$tards have to say.
Point #1. Is Fabio Cannavaro's golden ball award deserved?
This is what I have to say. That bas#$rd Houllier has the nerve to critisise the recipient of this award(Cannavaro). What the f$5k did he do at Anfield? Beside to win the World Cup is the ultimate accolade. To perform consistently in the World Cup is another achievement of epc proportions. Lets be honest The man is a class defender and I think this award is fully deserved amidst the critisism that Henry should have won it instead.
I know Henry is class. But he doesnt have the bottle for the big Occasion. Never did produce the big things at the big moments. Buffon is also world class but Cannavaro is a class act. Hes been so for the last 6 years.
Do you guys think this was a worthy nomination. Lets open up the Forum.
Secondly transfer talk speculates Jemaine Defoe making a move to Utd. Personnally I think Torres is a better buy. To me Defoe is not World Class. But to all the Utd owes will this owe fit the bill? Is he needed at OT first of all.
Lets begin this discussion which I will be actively involved.
And While we have our forum Will all the Cricket owes please voice their opinions on the current Series. F#$ken disappointing. India look like they want to get wushed and f$5k off Home!!!
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Rooney's a real powerhouse. 29/11/2006 07:55 - (SA)
London - The energy generated by British soccer dynamo Wayne Rooney as he sprints around the pitch during a match is enough to boil water for 16 cups of tea, according to research published on Tuesday.
David James of Sheffield Hallam University's Centre for Sports Exercise Sciences calculated that the 21-year-old Manchester United and England striker produced 6 700 kilojoules of energy, equivalent to 1.86 kilowatt/hours of electricity.
This, he said, was also enough to light an average house for 90 minutes - the length of an average match - or run a standard television for six and a half hours.
The research for energy utility E.ON UK is part of a programme to try to raise awareness in schools of energy usage in the face of the global warming crisis caused by burning fossil fuels for power and transport.

STICKY WICKET-INTERACTIVE

Name: Aslam Khota
Vitalstatistics:Supersport cricket analyst & Radio 2000 commentator.
I have gotten to know Aslam for a while now and I have always respected his cricketing Knowledge and his passion for the game. I caught up with him once and asked him for an Interview on my website which he duely obliged. I told him to give us a more Interactive approach on his experiences and conquests thus far.
swoosh:Salaam Aslam, Thanks for coming on Line with Us. We head into Cricket Season Now and a perfect time to have you on. When did you first start playing Cricket? And where did you start off?
aslam: I was born into a cricket mad family, thus the game has been part of my life. Played junior cricket in Vrededorp (Fietas) and represented Transvaal Under-14’s in Kimberley. Played most of my life as an opener and wicket-keeper. swoosh:What do you think of Cricket back then as opposed to now?
aslam: Not very different, children still love the game but amazingly we had better opportunities as boys to play more cricket. It got bad as you grew older and we were seriously neglected at High Schools where the teachers failed to play a role.
swoosh: I know Cutty Amod (From my End) always used to pop in at Wits Underwear and talk about the Fietas Days? Can you tell us more about these days?
aslam:There was tremendous camaraderie, yet very healthy and intense competition. That’s the reason why it was so competitive at all levels.
aslam:There was tremendous camaraderie, yet very healthy and intense competition. That’s the reason why it was so competitive at all levels.
swoosh: Cutty reckons there would be players that would have walked in to the National team. Guys like Tiffie Barnes and others. Do you think the guys of yesteryear would have walked in to the current South African Set Up hands down?
aslam: There were great players and I believe you need more time and space to mention just a few. Facilities were so bad yet they turned up, played, had fun and produced some of the most exhilarating cricket. There were many who would have played, refer to my book; Across the Great Divide – Transvaal crickets Joys, Struggles and Triumphs, where this subject is detailed by Rafique Khota and Bree Bulbulia.
aslam: Long overdue! This I believe is a tip of the iceberg. Opportunities must be given, but our lads have to work hard and learn not to give up. The vital aspect that lacks in our cricket is the apathy among parents to help and create a support system for the talented sportsman. Very few allow their kids to find a balance in their academic and sporting life. The boys too are distracted with issues outside sport and this is why we loose them. Things come too easy in life yet the boys you have mentioned apart from Bodi, come from privileged backgrounds but had great support from parents who I know personally.
swoosh: Do you think the development structure in Gauteng will surely put more of our up and coming youngsters on the map?
aslam: Don’t depend on development structures for boys to progress through the grades. A lot of work has to be done within the communities and clubs in respective areas. Only the truly outstanding ones are given a few breaks and many potential boys have slipped through the system because of favouritism in selection.
swoosh: Let’s talk about Hash, Do you know him personally. What type of a guy is he? I know some Oldsters in the plaza were lambasting him about his technique. How do you rate Hash?
aslam: In the mould of Sobers and Lara for his technique – need I say more?! A great human being down to earth but seriously focused on making his joy, his vocation into a career. He is a true young professional and determined to succeed and that is why he values his wicket. If opportunities come the right way and at the right time – he WILL captain the country or even come close.
aslam: Everyone appreciates and respects people with AKHLAQ. Hashim has transcended the stereotypical attitudes of people by demonstrating the simplicity that is ISLAM and his strong will and character as a Muslim and a sportsman. He is actually an Icon for people of ALL denominations in South Africa as reflected at levels up to parliament when he forgave Dean Jones.
swoosh: So how is Supersport going? Can you tell us more about commentating? Is it an art form? Does technology make things much easier in terms of Stats etc? Or do you have to go in and study things on certain matches?
aslam: I only sit in as an analyst on Supersport when the Proteas are playing away. I am very much involved as a commentator on Radio 2000’s ball-by-ball coverage. Mostly happens when South Africa play at home. I toured the West Indies and India.
It is an art form and it is vital to paint, draw, and illustrate the live picture to your audience. If it is appreciated then you have succeeded in the art of commenting. The language of cricket is special and demanding and the spoken word cannot be retracted, so it is a huge responsibility.
Technology has made broadcasting easy no doubt, but radio’s principle is that you watch the live action and not the monitor. It is only used for reference. Stats are on hand all the time with the internet on hand, but preparation is a must and short term and long term history and the understanding of the game enriches the commentary.
swoosh: I presume you have been to some of the greatest Cricketing Arenas in the World. Please tell us about the atmosphere and how that respective culture embraces the game of Cricket?
aslam: Cultures are embraced by cricket and vice-versa. I think each ground has its own special ambiance. The Wanderers is the best place to be in South Africa. Its high stands and bullring like feel, gives it an atmosphere like no other. Kolkota’ Eden Gardens is special because of the capacity its holds. The spectators are boisterous and bay for the oppositions scalp and for the local hero to perform. Lords is as traditional as it gets and the history of the arena and the game comes alive when the leather hits the willow. There is no place like it!
swoosh:To date what has been the best ground that you have visited and why would you say so. Look mind you the Bullring at night is equally sublime?
aslam:I agree that the bullring is even better at night. For sheer majesty and setting, Newlands at the foot of Table Mountain is a classic venue. Eden Gardens can hold over 90 000 and have over 8000 policeman around and outside the ground. The volumes just boggle my mind. But very organised I must say!!
swoosh: Obviously you have also seen a lot of the greats in your time live. Which one of the greats have you seen live producing a phenomenal performance on the day? Does Lara’s record breaking inning stand out? Maybe Warne , Tendulkar
aslam: They are all geniuses in their own right. Lara’s 192 in Port-of-Spain (his home ground) against South Africa was to me a pure demonstration of commanding the stage. Every challenge meted out by Smith’s boys was simply nullified by the genius of Lara. He made my hair stand and actually evoked emotion in me in appreciation of what we were witnessing. There is no batsman in my mind better than Lara, and he is probably the best the game has seen. I haven’t seen Tendulkar perform his heroics live, but he is a classic batsman and his ability to produce the perfect shots throughout an innings speaks of the natural gifts that he is endowed with. Warne’s records speak for themselves. But he is credited for bringing a dying art back into the game and he deserves the accolade as one of five great cricketers of the century.
aslam: Gary Sobers, because he did it all! There will not be another cricketer who will dominate his era as Sobers did. He was a quiet giant who strode the world like a colossus. He was the ultimate all-rounder and if one emerges like him, that nation will dominate the game. There is none!
swoosh: If you had to send any cricketer from Past to present to the crease to bat for your life, who would that be?
aslam: Sunil Manohar Gavaskar of India. Scorer of the highest number of centuries, (34 until recently) and the first to reach 10 000 runs. He broke Donald Bradman’s record of 29 centuries in 1984, which stood for over 40 years. He was an opener and faced the most hostile bowling the game had ever seen in any era, including the present. He withstood and mastered the best paceman and the most beguiling His innings of 188 for the World XI in 1987 at Lords against an MCC XI was a stage to demonstrate to his contemporaries just who was THE master of his age. I saw it and it will live in my memory forever. It also doesn’t count in his record of 34 hundreds. He can bat anytime, anywhere, anyplace – he will save the world!
swoosh: Obviously you and guys like Dr Moosajee are involved in the Gauteng Setup or development. Good to see him as the National team Doctor as well. What does the future hold in a nutshell for Gauteng Cricket?
aslam: I am not involved at all a Gauteng level. As far as the future is concerned, we need HONEST and committed men and women, who can put the game ahead of self-fulfilment.
aslam: It’s a good squad. Although I think after the retirement of players, the new lot have found it a little hard to settle in. There is a lot of passion and commitment. I will not go into the issues of spinners etc, safe to say that we don’t and have virtually never had, captains who could use spinners to their optimum. The reason: players have seldom captained spinners even at club level long enough to understand the idiosyncrasies involved.
swoosh: Will we honestly put up a fight or maybe win it?
aslam: The world cup? Why not? World cups are not always won by the best team but by the teams that peaks at the right time. It could go anyway. The Aussies were the best team in 2003 and Clive Lloyds Windies were favourites in 1975 and 1979 when they won it. The other six tournaments produced surprise winners!
swoosh: Lots of guys are saying Hash should be in the one day team. Don’t you think it’s too soon? Can we expect a whole different team maybe. There are some ‘bajyas’ there at the moment?
aslam: He is certainly in the frame. Apart from his form, his general calm demeanour will stand him in good stead. The squad is virtually settled, yet I think that there may be a few surprises as to some who may not make it!!
swoosh: What do you think of
a) Graeme Smith as a Captain. As a leader. Is there anyone else who could do a better job?
aslam: He got it because there was no one else, and a world trend was followed to start a young captain and have him there for a long time. He has grown accustomed a lot easier than initially thought. Experience is the best teacher and he can only get better.
b) Goolam Bodi making the World Cup Squad as opening batsmen and to think he used to be a bowler.
aslam: He should have been allowed to express himself and learn by trial and error. Somehow the system doesn’t allow that and the game is poorer for it. Don’t be surprised he sneaks into the reckoning. He is much matured player and is not afraid.
swoosh:So your predictions of the following tours India & Pakistan? aslam: South Africa is good at home and India’s bowling poses no real threat. Pakistan can if all their top bowlers play. Whether Shoaib Akhtar and Mohamed Asif make is left to be seen. The Proteas should still win the one-dayers and the Tests. It wont be easy and reputations don’t produce positive results, so don’t be complacent is my message.
swoosh: I just have to ask you this one Aslam. What do think of the Pakistani Cricket team? We all know on their day they can beat anyone. But look at Shoaib and his Drug scandal. They usually come to SA for a holiday. Well not all of them. I’ve seen them in action off the field. All I’m saying is will they put up a descent tour or will we see them at the PALMS on Saturday Nights?
aslam: Hopefully they produce the dashing and superb brand of cricket that only they can produce. South Africans will enjoy them when at their best.

swoosh: Also A lot of my Uncles talk about the “MEAN MACHINE”. My late uncle Ismael Kola was a die hard Transvaal guy. Were they an awesome outfit back in the day? Who were some of their best players?
aslam: They were awesome for sure. They would have taken on any Test line-up and they were the best provincial/state team in the world. S Africa was in isolation that meant all top players were involved and the quality was very good. Sylvester Clarke, Graeme Pollock, Clive Rice, Jimmy Cooke, Rupert Hanley, Henry Fotheringham, Alan Kourie, Alvin Kallicharran, Vince van Der Bijl are some names that come to mind.
swoosh: Thanks Aslam for coming On-Line and sharing your views. To conclude what would be your advice for any up and Coming Youngsters that want to pursue a career in Cricket?
aslam: Hard work; develop the love for the game, understand it through watching and reading and never believe that success will be put on the plate. It comes with vision and commitment from all who matter around the individual. Never curb the natural instincts – jus nature it. Viv Richards was the prime example.
Thanx for the interview. Visit our website: http://www.boundarybreakers.co.za/ or email me on: aslamcricket@polka.co.za

BREAKING NEWS

Cannavaro voted European Footballer of the Year
PARIS, Nov 27 (Reuters) - Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro was named European Footballer of the Year on Monday, beating international team mate Gianluigi Buffon and France and Arsenal striker Thierry Henry into second and third.
Cannavaro paid tribute not only to his national team but also to troubled Juventus.
'Of course I will bring this trophy back to Madrid but I would also love to bring it to Turin,' Cannavaro, who joined Real Madrid from Juventus in July, told a news conference.
'My season at Juventus was just outstanding. I played 37 matches and scored four goals, all decisive.'
The 33-year-old defender, who proudly captained Italy in their triumphant World Cup campaign, won the vote by 52 journalists organised by France Football magazine.
'It is late recognition for our World Cup victory,' said Cannavaro, the first Italian player since Roberto Baggio in 1993 to win the award.
Juventus were stripped of their last two Italian titles and relegated to Serie B after being implicated in a match-fixing scandal.
Following the scandal, the Azzurri were crowned world champions with Cannavaro marshalling a defence that conceded only two goals en route to victory on penalties over France in the final.
Cannavaro became the third defender to win the award after Germans Franz Beckenbauer (1972, 1976) and Matthias Sammer in 1996.
The centre back, who succeeds Brazil and Barcelona's Ronaldinho as award winner, had 173 points. Italy goalkeeper Buffon came second on 124 with Henry third on 121.
Cannavaro said the collective performances of Juventus and Italy had played a key role in his success.
'It is thanks to them that I have been able to show my qualities on the pitch. So I want to thank my Juve team mates and all my colleagues from the Nazionale,' he said.
Cannavaro, the sixth Real Madrid player to win the award, also had thoughts for Naples, the city were he was born and raised.
'I would like to show the trophy to Naples as it is a very special city, where I grew up. I used to play football in the streets of Naples,' he said.
'I would love to show it to the kids who are in difficulty over there.'
However, Cannavaro added that he was still far behind Argentine Diego Maradona in the Neapolitans' hearts. (soccernet.com)
Together with Nesta these two showed the World what defending is all about. Great tackles, Legs and Bodies thrown on the line. Fabio we salute you

BREAKING NEWS-MINKI IN DIE BAD

I did however have time to bring you this breaking news. One of my reporters got me this scoop and thanks to him we are allowed to see these exclusive pictures. he calls it "Minki in die bad". From a sporting perspective, This is why our captain scored a duck yesterday.

WEEKLY SOCCER ROUND UP

First of all the week had to belong to Ronaldinho. did you okes see his goal. What a Overhead kick. We'l stay with Europe. Inter milan still remain top with Roma following closely. Totti got a brace. Barcelona advanced and I have been missing the Madrid Zikr lately because the Muggs Have been winning. Met Riyad Loonat at my soccer stall yesterday, The man was full of smiles so I gave him a Zidane Figurine and told him to remember his friends.
Forza Juve
We will make it to Serie A earlier than expected Azee your b$%tard. Juve ran out 4-1 winners against Lecce. You know Lecce Azee.
A GUNNERS POINT OF VIEW.
Please Faaiz and Co. Please get rid of that ba#$tard Adebayor. He was the culprit yesterday. Arsenal have formulated the new Zikr. "We just coudnt find the net, We just coudnt find the net"
The Toppie Wenger has too much on his mind. His Daughters are stressing him out. His niece is marrying someone from Real Madrid. Too much on the toppies plate.
FROM THE KOP END
I see Cisse, Ebie Jay and the lads are no longer deaf and dumb. I see their comments on the blog of late. And now Crouch is appearing more than Wayne Rooney. I still say that lightie Kuyt is special. And I leave you with a quote again from the Anfield Purist Rashid Cassim
"We WILL WIN THE PREMIERLEAGUE TITLE THIS YEAR"
When I started taking the Spurs ba#$tards out of my FANTASY LEAGUE TEAM THEY PULL A RESULT. Well done Mahmood Ackals
Oh I loved it. Moosa Dangor,Azee and all the other Man Utd owes were getting ready to go bring the Degs from Amina Bhaai Chamdah. Until Carvalho struck. I was getting lambasted for making Saha the MUGG OF THE WEEK. Look I must admit Utd had the better of the first half. That lightie Ronaldo is something else. He was skinning the Chelsea Muggs. This also proves that Mourinho the arrogant b#$tard and his Chelsea team are capable of being dethrowned. But hey who didnt know that. The lad Vidic is also a great acquistion. But even stevens at the end of the day and Chelsea and their millions didnt impress me. I watched the game with Faiz Oz at Primi in Rosebank. But 1-1 as I said was a fair result. As for Saha's goal the Chelsea defenders stood rooted. No one jockeyed him or put a foot in. Cudicini seemed decieved at full stretch. Good goal though. So guys any nominees for this weeks MUGG. For those that missed the Ronaldinho wonder goal Here it is

SITUATION ON COMMENTS
Ok. Obviously like I said earlier Its so easy to slate someone else and Hide behind an Anonymous tag. Hell I had to block personnal stuff about myself, fellow bloggers and stuff like that. Anyway thats beside the point. I was thinking of maybe adjusting a setting that only allows comments from members only. Ita takes about 10 seconds to sign up. Its not a full proof method to block the spammers but its better than nothing. Obviously I have had a following from my loyal owes So I want to have a vote and see the response. Do you guys encourage only comments from members or should we leave it as is and discourage or discard s$#t comments and eliminating guys hiding behind the anonymous tag. The Choice is up to you owes
So owes like Ebie J, Cisse, Offside, Biggy, Faaiz, Vahzerz, Azee, Hoosain and all the other loyal followers. Let me hear your owes take on this.
Hell if it doesnt work we just revert back to the old system.

MUGG OF THE WEEK

Well If we have to take into consideration criteria that is needed for a MUGG of the week and base it new, making the news, and the consequence the MUGG has on his clubs destiny it undoubtedly has to go to a Man Utd Player this week. Louis Saha you beauty. I know the likes of BIGGY and company will have their 2c in this matter. First of all that penalty miss in the dying stages was crucial to the Reds Course. I met Dullah Ackals and avid Man Utd Fan on Wednesday night and spoke about the matchday. I agree with his analysis of Giving Saha the penalty. I mean the mans confidence was in the toilet. He was having a k$k game. Yet he was given the penalty to take. Why didnt they give it to the Lity Ronaldo. He was skinning 4-5 owes at a time. And he has the bottle for it as proven against England. Saha I personally dont rate as a World Class Striker. It was also concluded that Utd are missing a six box striker. Lets be honest guys. You dont have the Ruud's, Solksjaers, Sheringhams, Coles & Yorkes. At the right place at the right time. Other points to note was Vidic. A man who in my book is starting to make Rio Ferdinand look good. But Saha you deserve the MUGG of the week for taking the smile of the Utd guys faces, making Ackals spice the Abu's chow with extra masala and putting the Utd guys in the PERISHAANS

COKE KNOCKOUTS

I recieved an email from the manager of FC Mayfair (Gummy) to put this post up. Its the Coke Knockouts on Sunday and he has urged our locals to please go and support them on Sunday in the Final. For those of you who dont know its Mohammed "Jives" Bhamjee and his lads. Some of the local lads on show will be Ayub Ackals, Polony, Sol Ackals, The people vs Larry Flint etc.
Also they are trying to raise money for the Final so anybody that wants to assist please contact Jive @ 834 1671.
REAL LESCO
Speaking of the knockouts Me and My Chaps could have been playing the First Divisision Final and lent our support to FC Mayfair but we lost in the most cruel fashion, On Penalties ahainst the Old War Dog Salfaraz and his Azadville Chaps. Manager Herbly Mayet can consider another successful season under his reign. I must admit the man has some tendencies of Sir Alex Ferguson. We battled on bravely as it was the first match after Ramadaan in the heat. Penalties ensued and in sudden death we were showed the door. In my eyes Anees Mayet is in the class of Gigi Buffon. You should have seen our kit. Silver grey Body Fit made by Hazrat. We also had the help of the Mallaikah when Hazrat's penalty was pushed in. Must be the four months. But we were out and kissed the prospect of the final goodbye. So to the lads of Real Lesco, Well Done, We always battle on even though lately fitness is the main issue. This is the Squad:
1. Anees Mayet 2. Afzal Mayet 3. Swoosh 4. Farid Saloojee 5. Ebrahim Moosajee 6. Dr Mohammed Moosajee 7 Faheem Mayet 8. Zahier Mayet 9. Imran Marks 10. Mamadee Moten 11. Pops 12. Swaar 13. Eco 14. Shazo 15.Joe Asmal 16. Faheem & Anees 17. Doods 18. Mamoo 19. Mando 20. Rozie Hodge 21. Hazrat Yusuf Rasool. 22 IC Italian 23.Jay 24 Jamaal Manager: Hoosain Mayet( Dont know if I forgot any one,) .
So as Gummy Said support the local lads in any way you can.............
THEATER OF DREAMS-PERESHANS

Sometimes its amazing how life can change in one night. First you cruising and then the PERESHANS sets in. And no matter what you do or try and do you cannot salvage the situation. The only thing left to do is a Do Or Die Clash now with Benfica. In one Match Day, Anything is possible. I said it was a matter of time before the MUGG Saha experiences a moment of Sakraat after his good fortunes of late. For Man Utd two losses in two matchdays is just unacceptable. It will boil down to who has the hunger and desire in that Final Game. I also wanted to put this post up to see the number of Hits this specific post recieves. Last time, the post against Southend saw the awakening of many sleeping Liverpool Owes.
This should prove to be another Slugfest for the ABUS. But look lets face it Herbly and your crew, This moment is indeed Pershaans. And We all know how Benfica love taking the chance against English teams when the chips are down. I must admit Utd strangled their opposition with a fluid passing game that only they do best but the magnificent free kick was just an unexpected sucker punch. When it comes down to pealties its "Have you got the bottle for it"
Elsewhere Faaiz the b#$tard can count himself lucky that Eboue managed to squeeze one through. Zam Ram can rest easy now. Ruud on the other hand seems like he is adapting to life in the Spanish League. Must be those big breasted Spanish women in Madrid as that are having an impact. Imagine Tony Yeboah was there, he'd be scoring every game.
So Celtic have split the group wide open and it would be a tragedy for Utd to fail, a absolute bloomin tragedy................................

Liverpool are flying in the Champions League. It seems that Benitez can only coach in Europe. The Fans were chanting and didnt seem at all bothered by their dismal run in the League.
Barcelona have a Do or Die clash against Bremen after Bremen beat Chelsea last night.
Valencia were easy winners as expected. Roma on the other hand made life difficult for themselves by losing against Shaktar. But we are poised now for a mouthwatering Round Of 16 come the new year
Also Guys. I need a favour. I am putting videos on this blog to make it more interactive.
I have added a few in the Forza Azurri Section as Well. Please let me know if they work.
You have to have a flash player to view them and if you within a company they should allow video streaming from You Tube

SA VS INDIA-WANDERERS JHB
Well yet again it rains at the Bull Ring. Once again Jozie has played it's cruel hand on the Cricket. I could just imagine the atmosphere had it been a glorious Summers Day. I spoke to a colleague at work and he was telling me that there were raving mad Indians ready to take part in the Carnival Atmosphere.
Nothing like sitting down on the stands with the song"HAVE YOU EVER FELT THE RAIN" echoing across the terraces. Beside there were some class batsman on display IF THE FREAKING RAIN DIDNT COME DOWN
Any way I had a reporter there at the Bull Ring and I told him to capture some Behind The Scenes Shots at the Stadium. He got the follwing pics at the nets while the rain kept coming down.

WEEKLY SOCCER ROUND UP

THEATER OF DREAMS
Whats new, It always happens to Utd. These b#$tards can never draw or lose. Always something happens that just gives them the edge. This weekend was the same story. Wayne Who. Wayne Fu#$king Rooney, Thats who it is. Rooney netted a brace this weekend. Crouch didn't. Hey we havent actually heard about Crouch for a long time now to be honest. But again Utd keep up the pace and thats where you have to be.Like it or Not. Well done to Hoosain Mayet, Ali Busby, Azee, Biggy, Pops and the rest of you Ali's.
GUNNERS POINT OF VIEW
Shoo Shoo Ti Ti Shoo Shoo. I know Azee will have a fat lot to say here. But I think the Toppie Wenger doesnt have the luck like Fergson had in the past. They Just cant seem to find the Net. But lucky they have Henry. I watched a bit At my Cousin Faaiz Oz'z Place. The man was jumping and glued. Well to him , Eco, Jives, Faiyaz Mayet(Thats the only Buggers I know) maybe Wenger needs to stop **#$$ in his car and he will get some luck. But they there and in grasp of something big.
CHEL$KI.
We were having a post football chat last night at Vahzerz (senior) place and the okes were adament that Sheva's time will come. But I mean Geremi can always come off the bench and do what needs to be done. Then the owes started battering Mourinho, calling him an arrogant k#$t. Bottom line is they up there. Amongst the conversation were speculation of David Villa to Juventus and Ronaldinho to AC MIlan. Lets see how accurate this will turn out to be.
FROM THE KOP END
"We will take the Premier League Title this year" -Rashid Cassim
Rash phone me the other day and said the following. I asked him If I could blog it and he says OF COURSE. Then again Rash predicted the Italian Triumph, The Istanbul Victory. So who knows.
I want to ask you owes. IS IT OVER FOR LIVERPOOL.?
I cannot go through much more pain writing this piece. Voice your opinions lads from the Kop. Show yourselves. Cisse, Rash, Zee Mayet, Ebie Jay, Mombhai, Ebie Loonat, Faheem Vahzerz, Vahzerz, Swaar, Ary M. I have to hear what you Muggs have to say.
EUROPEAN ROUND UP
Barcleona or should I say an Injury hit Barclona won 4-1. Riyad Loonat is in a Different Class as Madrid won 3-1. And by the way all Beckham Fans can breath a bit easy as Capello said that Beckham had permission to go to Rome for the Friday Night Braai of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
Inter Milan gain leadership of the Schudetto While Roma won 7-0. Who gives a s$% about Milan at this stage.
Juventus still maintained their unbeaten run but drew 1-1.
So On this Post I just want two Questions answered.
ARE LIVERPOOL FINISHED IN TERMS OF THE TITLE RACE AND WILL THEY WIN ANY SORT OF SILVERWEAR TIS SEASON?
FANTASY FOOTBALL BEST OF THE BEST

Well we have a new leader. Well Done Herbly Utd. Its' Gameweek 13 and you have come out trumps. Well like the rest of the owes said. Enjoy it while it lasts. Look I have got to hand it to you. You did it without any Liverpool owes. But then again I think everyone is getting rid of their Liverpool Owes. It was a good matchday for me personally as things just went my way on the Weekend. I mean I didnt even wait in the que for Cinnabons and Haagen Daz in Sandton on Saturday. So Well done to the top three 1. Herbly Utd 2. Zumba Bumbas 3. LuckyOkes

INTO THE RUFF-INDIA JIETAGAH

This Sunday evening I have the following plans. After I leave my stall in Rosebank I will go with the owes to Fordsburg, probably Mike's Kitchen. Because all the India Owes will be at the Wanderers, chanting "India Jeetegah, & Sachin Sachin. No doubt it will make for great atomosphere. Nothing like mad Indians shouting for India, Plus their team has come to them. I think it will make for a great contest. Both teams have been stuttering of late and they have the calibre of players lets be honest to pull of a victory. South Africa better hope that bA#3ard Mahendra Singh Doni doesnt get going as he has the ability to hit them, or even Tendulkar playing a majestic inninings. I should say South Africa will emerge as Winners as We have always been their Dada's. So whoever is going Enjoy the Bullring.
Whilst we on the topic I need all my blog followers input here. Its about a topic making the News Again. Racism in Cricket. This arises from Monty Panesar's abuse in Austrailia. Poor Old Monty apparantly needed councelling. Some oke told him "GORH MONTY GORGH , YOU STUPID INDIAN. Kevin Peterson also was abused at the same time. I know South Africa had the same experience last year with the likes of Ntini and a few others. Hash was called a terrorist in the commentary booth of all places.
I believe racism in Sport exist everywhere and even soccer has had its fair share. In Rome a black Roma Player was having Coffee at a bar where he was assaulted by Rival Lazio Fans. Even the Lazio Fans have banners in the crowd depicting racist and facsist slogans. Poor Samuel Eto nearly walked off the pitch a dozen times.
I know Racism in Sport needs to be eradicated but Do you guys honestly think Steps can be taken to overcome this problem.
Also What are your views on what happened to Monty,Hash and the Rest?

MUGG OF THE WEEK
As we head into Internationals Steve McClaren better be weary or else he could end up in this very same spot next week. Amid the weekend banter and results it gives me great pleasure to present this weeks MUGG. Obviously He has to come from the Kop. Rafa Benitez gets the nod this week albeit the following reasons. I spoke to a dire member of the kop pn Sunday and the man was fuming. "Why is Benitez playing Gerard on the right"-Ebie J. I agree Why is Gerard not playing in his role behind the front two where he has been so successful over the years. Didnt Benitez learn from Sven. Sven f#$ked England up the Same way in the World Cup. Secondly 1 point out of 18 in away games. That is a sin. Come on now Cisse.
Lastly Liverpool's performance against Man Utd was woeful. They were horrible, absolutely K##. Benitez'z selection could also come into question here. Crouch and Bellamy score in Europe in midweek. He drops them against Utd.
Its like ordering from Akhals in the week. Enjoying the chow. You get visitors from Bronkhorspruit over the weekend and you decide to buy from Liakets Starlight Cafe Take Away. Its just not on. My point :STICK WITH THE WINNING FORMULA. But Rafa indeed deserves the vote for the MUGG OF THE WEEK

THEATER OF DREAMS INTERACTIVE

AGENT is a lad who I have come into contact with while blogging. We have exchanged links and I wanted to get a perspective of a Die Hard Fan in Manchester
VITALSTATISTICS:
VITALSTATISTICS:
Owner of the following sites: http://www.man-utd-news.blogspot.com http://www.fcbloggers.com
Resides in Manchester, England and a Die Hard Man Utd Fan
swoosh: How long have you been a Man Utd Fan?
Resides in Manchester, England and a Die Hard Man Utd Fan
swoosh: How long have you been a Man Utd Fan?
agent: Since I was four years old. I first really knew about them when I got a premier league sticker book. It was at that moment that I Knew I had to make the decision, either Man Utd or Man City. I can safely say I made the right choice as the 1990’s brought me more joy and success than most fans see in their lifetime!
swoosh: Please Describe the atmosphere at Old Trafford on a matchday and a glorious European Night?
swoosh: Please Describe the atmosphere at Old Trafford on a matchday and a glorious European Night?
agent: The atmosphere is something that you honestly cannot describe, but I will have a go! It’s like electricity flowing through your body. The stadium is immense and I always a genuine sense of excitement when I walk up the stairs to take my seat. It’s a nervous excitement that is as strong today as it was all those years ago when I went to my first game.
European games are quite special. They play that anthem as you enter the ground and it makes every hair on my body stand on end. The pitch is floodlit and I think it makes for a better atmosphere. The other plus is that there are a lot more local fans at midweek games and less corporate patrons. This makes for a greater atmosphere, especially against rivals such as Celtic!
swoosh: I assume you are a member of the Utd Supporters Club. Tell us more about it. Can someone out here in South Africa become one easily and rescieve fan items, souveniers etc?
agent: There are a number of supporters clubs for United. The official membership is called one-united. It costs £27 if you live in the UK and it allows you to apply for tickets for games before they go on general sale (which is hardly ever). I am a member and I think it is possible for fans worldwide to become members! In terms of souvenirs, anyone can buy a vast range of merchandise from the online shop. There is some good stuff in there at the moment as we are celebrating 50 years of the Busby babes! That’s the reason we have the new kit in case anyone didn’t know!
swoosh: I always wondered how fierce the rivalries are face to face or in opposing stands?
Is it really that fierce. Who are some of the worst supporters you have come across in your time?
agent: A lot of the time the rivalry isn’t that bad.. There is always lots of goading and piss taking but that is normally as far as it goes. Of course if you want to look for trouble then all you need to do is ask a few people and they will steer you in the right direction. There is a fierce rivalry between a few of our opponents, namely Arsenal, Man City and of course Liverpool. There is something that stirs up inside us when we play these teams and a victory is oh so sweat. The latest one that sticks in my mind was Liverpool… How we tore them apart and humiliated their fans that came to see them!
swoosh: Liverpool(Smile). How is the rivalry then?
agent: It’s huge. One of Ferguson’s famous quotes when asked why did he take the job at Man Utd was “to knock Liverpool of the Fucking Perch”. Well he did that and more. In fact he made us the most successful team of the 90’s and he is not stopping there! I have to say the rivalry with Livepool has increased recently. During the 90’s Liverpool were poor, then never looked like winning top honours and we usually brushed them aside. Since they won the champions league and FA cup and actually looked half decent, that pasion to beat them has increased immensely. Before that it was Arsenal.

swoosh: Have you ever been to OT to watch a Liverpool Utd Clash. If yes. Please describe?
agent: I have been to Anfield to watch United play Liverpool and we lost 1-0 in the Fa Cup and Smith broke his leg. It was a great atmosphere with a lot of hardcore fans. It was just a shame after the game there was a lot of trouble from both sides.. It’s not somewhere to take your kids put it that way. I’ve seen United play Liverpool at Old Trafford a few times, everyone is special. The crowd are incredible and the rivalry immense. If it was your first game seeing that, you would be hooked.
swoosh: We often in South Africa just see lip movement from the crowds. Can you tell us some of the abuse that is hurled out to the players that you have experienced?
agent: There’s all sorts, its more of a spur of the moment thing though, like “you fucking prick, stop time wasting.”. or “get up you lazy fucking twat”. Take the free-kick numb nuts”. My favourite is our song for Mr Wenger. When he gets up from the dug out we sing “sit down you paedophile, site down you paedophile” very offensive but amusing non-the-less.
swoosh: I suppose you have dished out some Verbal Fury in your time? Would you like to give us some insight into that.?
agent: A lot of the abuse is in the songs, we have few. “build a bonfire, build a bonfire, put the scousers at the top, put the city in the middle and we’ll burn the fucking lot.”
Or “we all hate leeds scum, we all hate leeds scum, we all hate leeds scum, we all hate leeds scum.” Or “Gary Neville is a red is a red is a red, Gary Neville is a red, we hate scousers”.
swoosh: In Manchester Do you often see the players walking around the Centre?
agent: It’s funny you should ask that question. I used to work in a restaurant that was the local haunt for a lot of Man Utd. Beckham, Yorke, Wes Brown, Ronny Jonssenn were all frequent visitors. Most of them were really nice guys, Beckham especially. He was always up for a chat.!
swoosh: Have you met any of them personally. If you have tell us more about the guys.?Wed like to have a behind the scenes approach as to what goes on there after matchdays.
agent: I’m not sure about behind the scenes, but I do know it is an incredibly focussed club, the only thing that matters is winning. Steve Bruce and Mark Hughes Sons used to go to my school so met them quite a few times. You are actually quite shocked out how normal they all are. As I said Becks is a really cool bloke, ?I’d love to see him back in Manchester.
swoosh: Out here we often debate on Sir Alex Ferguson. Do you think he is still fit to be at the helm. What do you think of the signings he has made in the past. There were a few disasters, Kleberson, Djemba, Veron. Don’t you think you lads got have got much more value for 18 million quid instead of Carrick?
agent: Top of the premiership, three points clear and he only bought Carrick. I say let the results do the talking! Carrick was a great buy and with regards to failures, every team has them, it wouldn’t be as exciting if every player you bought was amazing.
swoosh: Out there what was the speculation on Beckham and Keanos Departure. The flying boot incident? What was the real deal?
agent: For sure it was real. The thing that has made Ferguson so successful is the fact that no-one is bigger than the team., He is not scared to make the big decisions. Many said that selling Ruud was a huge mistake, where would the goals come from. Look at us now, we score far more now than we did last year with Ruud.
swoosh: How was Beckham and Keanes influence on Manchester. I mean the vibe, the streets. Were they icons that would be mobbed at every instant.Did you see Posh.?
agent: I’ve served posh at the restaurant I worked in. No comment! Keane was a huge influence, he was an icon. I think he represented Manchester “hard as fucking nails”. I hope he takes over from Fergie!
Forget that, I mean Utd had legends. Shmeichel, Giggsy, Becks, Keane, Bruce, Cantona. How was that era?
agent: Amazing. Cantona is my favourite player of all time. He has a mean kung foo kick as well! I think there are so many legends at United that you can’t really single one out as being a cut above the rest. I’d also like to give a shout out to George Best. He is watching over us no doubt, you really were a true United hero!
swoosh: Eric was a great. Watched some videos on him. Your thoughts?
agent: Genius. A privilege to have him at our club. Fergie bought him, I’m sure you’d say it was a shrewd move at £1.5 million.
swoosh: As a Utd Fan What was your most memorable moment?
agent: Winning the treble! What a year that was!
swoosh:And Your Worst?
agent: There have been a couple, crashing out of the champions league last season and losing to Arsenal in the FA cup final 2 seasons ago after we battered them!
swoosh: Were you in Barcelona for the European Victory. Was there partying in Manchester. How was the atmosphere and feeling to snatch it at the death like that.
agent: I couldn’t get over to Barcelona unfortunately, but that night was really special. To win it like we did was incredible and summed up the ethics of that generation. They simply refused to give up and always believed. There is a video on my blog of us winning it. It brings a tear to my eye just watching it!
swoosh: Have you been to any away matches. Whats it like from a Utd Fans point of View. Is it Safe to end up near the opposition. ?
agent: It’s usually safe, apart from the big rivalry games. Away games are great coz it’s all the hardcore fans singing away!
swoosh: I envy you. To see the greatest players playing in your back yard on European and Inernational Nights. Which of the greats have you seen live and whats it like.Have you had the priviledge of seeing Zidane
agent: I was at the Real Madrid game when we got knocked out by them. Ronaldo got a hat-trick and a standing ovation from the United fans. Beckham came on as a sub, at a time when he was in the process of being sold and socred 2. The final score ended up being 4-3 to us but we still went out. But what a game to be at. Zidane played that night, he is incredible!
swoosh: Are the English Extremely passionate about their Football than any other nation you think?
agent: I think they are very passionate no doubt, but so are lots of other nations, look at Brazil and Argentina, they love it. I think it’s just a great game and winning is just so exciting. Football brings people together!
I have to ask you this. The English have been portrayed in the past as a violent bunch of supporters. Has all this changed.
agent: Yes and no. England fans still get too drunk and brawl (mainly with each other) but as for out and out violence think it has calmed down a lot over the past decade!
swoosh: Wayne Rooney has come in for a lot of backlash on this blog. Is the Lad an icon in Manchester. How do the Fans embrace the players there. Do the players get a lot of stick from their own Fans when they are down?
agent: People who don’t know the player will always knock them. Rooney is a great talent and anyone who truly knows about football will tell you that. His response to a goal drought? Scores a hat-trick. Anyone who criticises him, let me ask you this, would you have him in your team? If you answer no, then I think you are deluded.
The fans need to be won round. Fletcher and Richardson came in for a lot of stick with United fans, simply because their performances on the field were not up to scratch. The fans are also very forgiving as well. Fletcher is winning the fans over with some fantastic performances this season
swoosh: Did the English blame him or his temper for Englands Exit as they did Becks in 1998. How was it for Becks?
agent: It was hard for him, but he worked hard on his game and won the fans hearts. His goal against Greece to qualify summed it up! United fans always stuck by him, as we have with Ronaldo!
swoosh: I love the chorous in the Crowds during the English Game. What is the most popular Manchester Utd War Chant at the moment.
agent: I think the “build a bonfire” chant is working well at the moment
swoosh: Your views on Utd’s chances this year foreign and domestic. ?
agent: Great chance in both. I think we are going to be there or thereabouts in all competitions unlike Liverpool (sorry couldn’t resist)
swoosh: Chelsea or Chelski are an obvious threat. What are your views on them and their millions? And the other contenders, Liverpool and Arsenal?
agent: Chelsea are still a small team. Yes they’ve got money, but they have no history. I think that’s why they are not a bitter rival, because they are viewed by most as a Russian Billionaires plaything! Arsenal will probably do ok in Europe , but Something needs fixing at Liverpool.
I see you mentioned to me about Serie B and Juve. The two clubs have had a decent rivalry. Have you seen any games. If I had to tell you that Del Piero is coming to Anfield What would be your thoughts. Although Nedved and Cannavaro were rumoured to be on their way.
They can go, it wont help them much! United and Chelsea are just too strong for most. I think Nedved is over rated.
swoosh: SA2010. Do you see yourself on the plane with the English Fans jetsetting to South Africa?
agent: Quite possibly. I’ve never been to South Africa, perhaps that’s when I should go!
swoosh: Do you know much about the SA National team. What are their chances. Don’t know if you recall Linda Mercedz Benz Buthelezi and Thabang Molefe adding injury woes to Gazza and Becks respectively.
agent: I went to see England play South Africa at old Trafford in a friendly once. I think we won 1-0. I thought you guys were more Rugby fans than football?
swoosh: Thanks Agent for allowing us this on line interview. Keep in touch and yeah Good Luck for the rest of the season
agent: Thanks, hope you enjoyed reading!
