I was ready to go to Checkers and buy some Shipmate Bubble Bath,the one we had when were lities for Faaiz Oz and Zam Ram. The stink of Arsenal seemed to be returning but Kolo Toure's clever positioning and sublime finish ensured the draw. This is not good however for them as the Fixture backlog grows heavier. But I will award it to Richie Benaud on a harsh suspension on Herchille Gibbs. Gibbs was given 1 test and 2 ODI'S y Benaud. Lets review the Incident. Now here is my take.Firstly the owe shouldnt have said f$#$in Pakis, But is it equated to saying F$%KING Ozzies or F#$ING POMMIES. If Gibbs said the latter then would he still be racist. I dunno. I have decided to flight this post now on a wednesday instead of Thursday. It just feels apt. This weekend I met a man that revolutionised the word Jet Fuel Only.He in fact gave me the name. The phrase goes as such "IF EVER THERE WAS A MAN THAT COULD CARVE A 8 IN THE ROAD WITH HIS SILVER IS". Yip Nazo Jet Fuel Only if you reading,Thumbs Up.

Firstly I know that this post is developing a following. I just want to start by saying how "JET FUEL ONLY " originated. My Couzi Nazo had a apple green golf at the time with black momo quasa's.DPV.

Anyway we had connections in the Bronx. One day on a visit to Bronchorspruit Nazo's Swaar Gora took me with a couple of bra's to a garadge.There was a car there,GOLF 1, Daytona Violet with an exhaust as thick as a pillar. They pulled off the Cover and said to me"NOW WHERES YOUR COUSIN.THIS IS OUR BEAST.JET FUEL ONLY".Anyway lets see what Zubair Loonat has to say......

Howdy Guys and Gals…That time of the week again for you to get your dose of octane booster…With new model launches on the up,2007 is gona be a real treat…Some model carry overs,some revisions and some new ones altogether.I will be looking at the popular hot hatches,I refused to call them pocket rockets as prices ranging from R235K to R280K,the only pockets you will have are empty ones.Hot hatch?Where did it all start?Well the Vw MK1 Gti or Golf 1 is where it all began and changed the way we looked at small performance cars forever…Succeeded by Gti 16V,VR6,Golf 4 and 5 Gti a cult following sprung.Other manufacturers too decided to get onto the band wagon and we saw the launch of the early 90’s Opel Superboss and the “handle with kid gloves” Opel TS.Since then Renault,Ford,Mazda,Seat too have joined in on this title fight for hot hatch supreme…Lets take a brief look at each..If you want indepth info or interested in how many cupholders each has,this is not for you,that Hendrik V guy on a locally produced motoring show will be keen to describe depth,size and diameter of cupholders and seat adjustments..I on the otherhand will tell you what I think is important.All the mentioned cars are roughly around the same price bracket,have Recaro sports seats in cloth or leather and compete in the same market segments.All are capable of around 240km/h and around 7 seconds 0-100km/h as tested by reputable motoring publications,at the reef and sea altitude.Most of these cars have been detuned as a result of those self righteous tree huggers that label themselves environmentalists…So catalytic converters are installed not only to increase cost but to save the ozone too,all at the expense of power L

First up we have the Ford Focus ST:166kw,320nm torque.Available in 3dr(sporty),or in a more conservative,conventional family orientated 5dr(Granny like) shape.Stunning 18’ wheels as std,with the subtle yet attractive mesh front bumper,clean side sills,and a designer rear roof mounted spoiler for added downforce(Who says looks can’t also serve a purpose?)Colour I would choose on this is the funky Pearl Orange for sure,but be sure to wait an extra 3 months if you opted for this.Essentially the Focus ST is based on the Volvo S40 platform,engine,chassis etc all Volvo and performance tuning further undertaken by Ford in the UK.I’m quite surprised the guys from the blue oval brand turned out such a well balanced package,braking,handling,build quality all top notch.That 5 cylinder engine tone reminiscent of the VW Caravelles, are to die for and call onto the driver to hit the loud pedal just one more time…

Next up we have the Renault Megane Sport RS F1:168kw 300nm torque.The F1 limited edition is available in 3dr only with Alonso’s F1 championship winning livery yellow and blue colours shod with pride on front and rear bumpers.Comes with 18” menacing black wheels and seats that look straight out a rally or touring car.Tons of lumbar support from those and suspension setup more for track than comfort or road use.This car in black looks like Darth Vaders personal mode of transport…Wicked!!!I can see myself cruising in this listening to some 50 cents tunes ;-)

Vw’s Spanish cousin Seat-pronounced Sayat(Seat is for sitting but Sayat is for flying radio ads comes to mind).The Seat Leon Cupra(Short for Cup Racing) 177kw 300nm torque.This baby apart from having stunning Spanish flair,normally associated with Italian designs has Vw’s proven German engineering and then some!Essentially what Seat has done with the Cupra is taken the Golf 5 Gti’s hardware and improved on it and added some extra testosterone….Due to be launched 2nd quarter-end March,beginning April..Its sure to have Gti 5 guys feeling left short changed.This will separate you from every other guy in his Gti,if its individuality and style you want,this is it.Ps.Every street in Lenz has a Golf 5 Gti…Time to step out of the mould and not be a sheep me thinks….

Also worth mentioning,no not as an afterthought,the Mazda 3 MPS(180kw 335nm torque).Not yet launched,powertrain derived from the 191kw 380nm Mazda 6 but detuned as it doesn’t share its bigger sisters AWD drivetrain.Most powerful of the bunch here,but overseas critics weren’t impressed but the lack of steering feedback and torque steer that would even make hardened criminals stain their underware!2.3l 16V turbocharged,intercooled lump could make up for the lifeless steering…On a design note though..Mother Theresa comes to mind…

Aaah finally..Last but not least and my personal favourite..The Opel OPC(Opel Performace Centre) GTC(Ooooh you’d be like heaven to touch…I want to hold you so much..)177kw 320nm torque.This car looks like its doing 250km/h standing still,nothing about this cars design is subtle!Looks,perfomance,handling,braking…this is it…colour of choice?Red definitely to show the oh so sexy curvy lines..Reminds me of Stacy Ferguson in red lingerie…Performance stats are so impressive I’m beginning to think this cars been designed by Al Qaeeda,cause it’s the bomb!I can’t wait to get my grubby little paws on one!And this coming from a Vw fanatic!

Why no Gti you ask?Its out of its league in this company and I eagerly anticipate the 162+kw GTI-R launch later this year.

Alessandro Del Piero has claimed that he turned down the chance to join Manchester United in the summer.
Sir Alex Ferguson attempted to bring the World Cup winner to Old Trafford after Juventus suffered relegation due to a match fixing conviction.
However Del Piero decided to remain with the Bianconeri, and the club's all-time record goalscorer has gone on to make his 500th appearance for the club in Serie B this season.
Now the cultured forward has revealed how he resisted the lure of United to try and secure his legacy at Stadio Delle Alpi.
"It's all true. I could have been a Red Devil," said Del Piero in The Sun.
"Manchester United representatives contacted me in August.
"At first I was flattered, but I never really thought of leaving Juventus.
"I've been playing 13 years in this club and I want to finish my career here. I'm sure Alex Ferguson understood my decision."
The United boss did not manage to strengthen his attack in the summer, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has since returned to full fitness and the club have also recruited Henrik Larsson on loan.

Firstly this post was almost not gonna be. I was sabotaged last night at POPS'S(Man Utd) house. He got my finger stuck in his gate so i woudnt be able to type.But even if i coudnt move I would have with my last breath made a plan to flight this post
I watched the game at home with a 2 die hards. Faaiz Oz (Arsenal ) and Mamoo (Man Utd). I must say when Utd went a goal up I told Faaiz Oz that the Stinkers will never do anyone a favour. But then Ti Ti was there and I said to the lads that the man is looking Menacing. It will just be a matter of time before the UTD MUGGS go to sleep. And VA VA VOOM, the equaliser. Poor Mamoo, the mans heart thumped and I could feel his pain when Ti Ti headed in the winner in stoage time. WHEN YOU LIVE BY THE SWORD YOU WILL DIE BY THE SWORD. How many times has UTD did this to other people. Anyways we took his car keys away as another Oil Sump was just not on. He left quietly.
Faaiz Oz on the other hand was jubilant. He even treated me for supper on his behalf. But the marking was shocking. Come on Azee,Moosa, Seth. Hoosain. You owes deserved to lose this one.
BUT THE COMET ARIVED,AND THEN LEFT . WOZA WHAT A WEEKEND

There were good wins for Middlesbrough,Everton and but the big four was all that mattered this weekend.

Good wins for Barcelona and Real Madrid. They sustain the pressure in La Liga. Riyad loonat looks like he has plenty to smile about this Summer and in the next two months.

What a weekend. The big four clash against each other and I have dubbed it as THE PELTING THAT WILL TAKE PLACE. OH and Pelt we will. First up will be Chelsea for Liverpool. Now look I know Chelsea is not a bad team but they are in THE PERISHAANS.Mourinho is gabraats,Ballack & Shevchenko are fighting with the rest of the team. So this is an opportune moment to grab a result. Also not to forget Liverpool are their DADAS.Make no mistake.

But in order for this to happen The Stinkers Arsenal must get a result their side and do some PELTING of their own.

Arsenal believe it or not are Man Utd's DADAS. So I am confident that TI TI and the Boys pull it off their side

It could be a simple formula, Beat the Mugg Van Der Sa in the top left corner. They have the guys,Henry,Van Percy,Fabregas.

I’m sure u’ve all heard the word “NOS”?Well those that know alittle more know the little fire extinguisher blue thing from Fast and Furious movies,that once the switch is flipped,the driver and occupants are sucked into their seats and the vehicle accelerates at a phenominal rate reaching speeds of”lock me up and throw away the key” velocities…I will try to not be so technical here and just give a simple laymens term explanation on everything.An internal combustion engine is nothing more than an air pump,the more air u get in the more power u make and the bigger the grin on your face.What NOS does is supply more oxygen in the combustion chamber and bang,more air more power.Another awesome way of getting huge power and seriously wet ur seats and pants is through turbocharging,this is my favourite(no not the wet pants bit).What is a turbocharger?Well sticking to trying to not be labelled a technical geek,I’ll leave that to the guys in white coats with thick spectacles…I’ll try to be brief and simple.A turbo is made up of two parts,a turbine(turbine wheel and housing)and a compressor side(compressor wheel and housing).The turbine is powered by waste exhaust gasses that wud otherwise just leave through your exhaust pipe on a naturally aspirated or non turbo car.These gasses spin the turbine wheel which in turn spins up the compressor as they connected via a common shaft.The compressor spins at anything between 120 000 and 180 000rpm!The turbine can reach temepratures of upto 1000 degrees celsius too!
Basically the turvbo itself is nothing more than an air pump and forces air into the motor and voila!More power!Now we get to the supercharger…similar to a turbo as in both pump in air increasing power,whereas the turbo is powered by free wasted gas,the supercharger is powered by a belt driven of the crankshaft.So in essence it takes power off the motor to make power…
Cams,modified cams?u’ve all heard some Lenz guy in his Golf mention he has these?What are they?Well basically its an awkward looking cast iron shaft with funny lobes on it that push the lifters and open the valves.U need this for combustion to take place.Modified or race cams as they commonly reffered to,keep the valves open for longer(duration) and lift the valves off their seats higher(lift).This in turn then takes in more air,and as you’ve guessed it,makes more power.

The above explanations are just a very quick not so technical background on the popular power enhancers.I will in future do very technical write ups on all of the above if there is enough interest,coupled to different fuel octanes,aftermarket engine management systems,gasflowing,boring,stroking,basically anything and everthing for the speed freak.

Centurion - One of the South African players could be in hot water as a result of an incident during the first Test against Pakistan at Centurion Park on Sunday.
It resembled a Wild West movie as spectators swore at players who retaliated with remarks of their own. In the end, seven spectators were removed from the stadium.
One of the spectators was taken to Lyttelton police station and charged with involvement in a fist fight with an off-duty policeman.
"Alcohol played a major role in what happened," said Terence Jacobs, head of security for the Test.
South African spinner Paul Harris was sworn at by supporters of the Pakistan team and three of them were removed by security staff.
The incident may result in disciplinary steps against an as-yet-unidentified South African player, said to be a middle-order batsman.
"Like bloody animals"
It is believed that remarks he made after the swearing incident by Pakistani supporters, were picked up by the stumps microphones.
It is alleged the player said the supporters were behaving "like bloody animals" and that he said something about "fucking Pakistanis".
Members of the SA team's management later listened to a recording of the incident, said to have taken place between overs, to determine exactly what had been said.
Convener of selectors Haroon Lorgat, coach Mickey Arthur and media liaison officer Gordon Templeton, were involved in the process.
Gerald Majola, CEO of Cricket SA, is expected to release a statement on Monday.
SuperSport, who televised the action, received a number of calls from viewers who expressed their dissatisfaction about what the player had said. Reaction was received even from Pakistan.
Infringement of privacy
Arthur said on Sunday night he felt the use of stumps microphones was an infringement on the privacy of the players.
"I believe what is said on the field should stay on the field and should not be broadcast to everyone in their television lounges.
"It was something that was said to other players between overs and should not have been heard across the whole world."
Templeton said it was the task of the TV production staff to turn off the sound after every ball had been bowled.
"The sound on the stumps microphone is meant only to help determine whether the batsman has touched the ball."
The SA players are said to have complained to their security staff about the way the large group of Pakistan supporters had sworn at and abused them.
Harris took much of the abuse where he was fielding on the boundary, but Jacobs emphasised that the remarks had not been of a racist nature.
Arthur added that the way their opponents had been supported during the series against India, and in this match, had made it feel as if the South Africans were playing away from home.
"One can understand it if you have to deal with remarks from spectators in Australia, but in your own country it's not pleasant," he said.
Jacobs said 10 spectators had been removed from the ground so far during the match and that one spectator had been reprimanded four times because of his behaviour.
"Some people just can't handle their liquor," he added.

Nice to have you on line
When did you start playing Cricket and what would you consider your breakthrough in the sport?How did it all come together.
Hash: I started playing when I was around 6yrs, like most of the young guys bakers mini-cricket was a big hit and Alhamdulilah it has just progressed from there. My real breakthrough came when I scored a century on debut for the dolphins. When you start off well it really helps for the rest of the career.

swoosh: Because you have achieved so much Hash, we going to focus more on the International situation. How was the feeling when you received the news that you would represent your Country at Test Level. Somewhere we all aspire to be.Where were you at the time
Hash: Alhamdulilah for the opportunity I have been afforded. The feeling is great, being considered as one of the best 11 cricketers in your country is an honour. The first time I officially heard about it I was in jhb driving to Pretoria for a domestic game. The cellphone was buzzing for quite awhile after.

Swoosh: A debut at Eden Gardens, Capacity crowd containing mad Indians. Talk us through it, The nerves, waiting in the pavilion,padded up, being the first Muslim to represent South Africa at test Level. Must have been a feeling and immense nerves.
Hash: it was a fantastic venue to make a debut, the atmosphere is electric and you can barely hear the person next to you theres so much of noise. Naturally I was nervous and very anxious to do well.

swoosh: Also refusing to where the Castle lager logo. Hashim do you feel you command a great deal of respect with your beard and solid stance as a muslim in the competitive world of World Cricket. You truly are an ambassador for Islam and the muslim youth and you make us proud.
Hash: Jazakalah for the kind words,It’s not for me to say whether I command respect or not but what I can say is that Alhamdulilah many people muslim and non-muslim have expressed the happiness and support.
Swoosh: While we on the topic, The World stood back in awe and were surprised at your calm response to the Dean Jones Terrosism incident. How did your fellow teammates embrace the situation. Also did you see Dean Jones in person after that.How did you handle the situation.? (If you go to youtube.com and type in Hashim Amla you will see a video and clearly hear Dean Jones Remark)
Hash: teammates were just as surprised as I was, you certainly do not expect that kind of stereotyping on the cricket field or anywhere else. I didn’t see or speak to the guy in person after Sri-lanka. Obviously there was going to be plenty of media attention towards it which in hind sight was a good thing, it raised a greater issue every human has to rectify and that’s our own pride and prejudice towards others based on no understanding.

Swoosh: In India you were with Dr Moose. He is my cousin you know. I believe the muslim community all knew Hashim Amla at Eid Namaaz. How did the Indian public and media embrace you. Was the Dr keeping you in check there.
Hash: The doc is a legend,Alhamdulilah really enjoyed my time with him. India was great,they are so passionate about cricket its actually unbelievable. When I arrived there the Indian media were very keen to know which town in India my great grandparents where from etc. I even found one day a picture in the paper of a flat where my distant Amla connections are staying,J was quite funny actually.

Swoosh: Hash for the guys, You toured Sri Lanka. How is it to tour with the National team.Couple of questions here.
Who do you hit it off with the most in the National team and get along with?
Hash: Get along with most of them, but maybe Ntini makes me laugh the most.

Swoosh: Who do you room with when you with SA?
Hash: we all get our own rooms

Swoosh: What is a typical regular day on tour?
Hash: practise in the morning (srilanka is boiling hot..durban times 3), stretch session in the pool , lunch, nap (+- 30 min), visit around the town ( very little shopping),usually some meetings in the evenings, relax and sleep.

Swoosh: I met Ntini as well. He seems to be a character,loud guy. How is he with you?
How do you embrace the fans when you out in public, particularly the muslims?
When you walk in for Jummah during tours It must be an honour for the muslims knowing that a cricketing icon has entered the building,if you phrase it that way. What I am saying is that communities must be proud
Hash: yeah he is a pretty vocal guy and its pretty entertaining most of the time, he and I get on well.
I try to give as much time as possible to the fans and supporters,I mean its an honour Alhamdulilah that they see me in a good light,just hope my family and friends don’t spill the beans about what I really am.

Swoosh: Hash We are so proud that you representing SA in the Pakistan Test Series. Tell us how do you prepare for such a big event both Mentally and physically.
Hash: I try and relax abit, spend some time with good friends and in the eveing dedicate some time for mental planning.

Swoosh: Do you engulf yourself in rigorous physical training. Let me put it to you this way, Do you require an extremely high physical level of fitness to compete at this level
Hash: the amount of games played and at such a Huge intensity you have to be somewhat in good condition. There are days where you train harder and the body feels it the next day but Alhamdulilah rest does wonders for recovery.

swoosh: I can only picture standing on the wicket surrounded by thousands of people and facing a fired up Lee or Akthar. I take my hat off to you HASH. Have you faced these quickies. Who was the most difficult or tricky bowler you have ever faced.
Hash: I have faced lee, most tricky will have to be Murali.

Swoosh: This has always interested me.Hash I know you are always paaben in your Salaat. Also when it comes to Salaat, Do you go off the field and let the 12th man come on for you.How is playing cricket during Rmadaan. Don’t you find this difficult with the roza
Hash:fajr salah is well before play (unless a day/night gamegoes horribly wrong) Zohr I read in the lunch break, we are usually of the field well before magrib time so Alhamdulilah asar I read when I come off.

Swoosh: Im sure the other muslim youngsters look up to you as a role model. Ahmed Amla, Imran Khan, Yusuf Abdullah. What advise do you give these guys or should I say what would be your motivation factor toward them
Hash: its great to have a few muslim guys in the team,get a good jamaat going. Alhamdulilah the situations is such that we all benefit from each other.

Swoosh: Hash Do you have any advice for up and coming lities if they want to aspire to reach the level where you are.
Hash: work harder and do more good then most, Come to salaah, come to success. Advise that was give to me that I truly wish I practised on earlier in my life.

Swoosh: Just some General questions Hash. If you had to chose any cricketer in the modern generation to bat with you who would you chose to accompany you to the crease?
Hash: steve waugh

Swoosh: What was the best ground you have played on locally and Internationally? The most atmosphere I should say.
Hash: internationally- Calcutta local- newlands

Swoosh: How was the daal chawel and karee kicheree in the sub continent, I see the other guys tend to struggle when they out there?
Hash: food is great there! Noticed they have halwa as a desert and not a starter.

Swoosh: Hash what are you future goals and aspirations in terms of cricket. I and a lot others hope to see you captaining South Africa in the near future. Your thoughts
