SEMI FINAL 2ND LEGS

Well I have never seen the MANCS so stressed yesterday in the last 20 minutes. Because Barcelona were coming. But lets be honest, It was symbolic to playing a WFA location team, They come at you but cant score.

That was Barcelona in both legs. Doing Everything but no clear cut chance to score. With the exception of Messi who was again left to do it all on his own.

The goal, Well it was a goal worthy of taking you to Moscow.Scholes whom I wrote off proved me wrong. But Barcelona Cannot just walk the ball in. They lacked that creativity.

The Mancs I thought never gave them the space they wanted, They closed them down quickly. And to me that was the underlying difference on the night.
To me I thought Park and Tevez were outstanding on the night. Again the toppie Ferguson s choices baffled me. Bringing on Fletcher, not starting with Anderson. Even Henry I thought was f#4ken poor and a shadow of what he was....................

So credit to the MANCS, but you know what the lity Penaltino got f#4ken attitude.Everytime Zambrotta tackled him he was crying. Comon you MANCS thats a f#4ken shite style. Be a sportsman. Then you owes complain about MASH squealing and getting carded.
Never mind, You know what, Well done ....

Now We will meet you in Moscow for the biggest Jihad, Abus vs Alis EVER. Its about Izzet (Dignity) IN EUROPE.......
Our Geraaks await at the Bridge

SUPER TUESDAYS

What a weekend....In more ways than one. I started it off with an Italian Opera with a Badaam. Went to the Theatre for the first time. Sublime. Then Saturday I was with one of the 100 most sexiest women at a function at the Vaal. Relaxed and Tranquil. I spent the day eating predzils and watching the scenery, and Oh nature as well. Obviously my phone was beeping. Ballack scores a penalty with 5 minutes to go. Not one MANC sms'd me. So Saturday was sublime. Truely Sublime.

Now Sunday evening I attended a couzins 21st. And after that they had a Qawaali (Indian Music Display that puts people in a Trans). But this wasnt an intense Qawaals. First time I ever went to a Qawaals. The Aunties were enjoying it, Rolling back the numbers, jiving when they could. They even slaan a Qawali number called Nkosi Sikilele. Something different I tell you.

Monday, I just chilled and did F#4kall.

But back to the important stuff for Super Tuesday

THE MANCS VS CHELSEA-WHAT A THING
Every where I went people asked, But Swoosh that wasnt a Penalty. My response was rapid. I said F#4k it, Penalty or no Penalty the MANCS lost and its game on now. And you know what, the Mancs season could very well colapse after tonight. Ballack came big on the day. Now theres one important thing here............The Bogey of West Ham.

Let me take the Mancs back to the past. Remember that Title Season and the words. "Coles Through, Hes missed it" or "What a Save by Miklosko.
West Ham has always been the Mancs bogey. So who has the better run in. And I ask some questions. Was the toppie Fergusons tactics correct by resting some players. Is Europe more important than the Premiership MANCS?
AND OF COURSE WAS IT A PENALTY?

PREVIEW OF TONIGHTS GAME
Believe it or not I find Man Utd worse off than us. Fair enough both teams have to go out and win the game. But Barcelona certainly have the firepower to score at OT. Messi, Deco, Eto, Iniesta, Xavi. Fucken MANCS are going to get dumped out of Europe tonite. The game is Big.No Doubt.

We will be Watching Champions League Football at Cafe Nescafe tonite and possibly tomorrow.
But tonite for sure. Time: 8:30. Come watch the MANCS get dumped out of Europe

Elsewhere though it was just the usual stuff. Liverpool obviously resting the players for the Big one against Chelsea. We have to win the game. Im confident for one reason. Is that Rafa will now have to attack instead of sitting back. Its a good thing for us. As I said our Geraaks will always Collect. Just like how Shaka and Ridone used to punish Mollies and Ballie every Friday. Its Collection time. Interesting though is that Rafa has never won at the bridge..I think. But We must attack and away goals will see us throough.

Elsewhere in the World of Foootie ,It was a the usual grappling and tugging for UEFA spots and Champions league spots. Great win for Juve...thumping Lazio 5-2. Del Piero scoring again. He must go to Austria and Switzerland

LA LIGA ROUND UP
End in sight!!!
Irfaan Adam

4 games left, a 10 point gap, but Real Madrid aren’t still “officially” La Liga champs.
Although every Tom, Dick and Suliman knows that the title is staying in Madrid for another season, the booze is still on ice.

Villarreal made sure Madrid’s party celebrations were put on hold, after a 1-0 win against Real Betis. Brazillian born Spanish international brought out the Branco in him, with a pile driver from nearly the halfway line.

That was all the Yellow Submarines needed as they held on to a 1-0 victory. Senna’s goal, definitely a contender for goal of the season.

Madrid made sure the title will be theirs next weekend after they cruised to a 3-0 win over Bilbao at the Bernabeu.

Madrid should seriously think about naming a stand after Iker Casillas. Once again he was on top form and pulled out a penalty in the first half.
The missed penalty kicked some life into the home team and Javier Saviola made the most of getting some rare game time by opening the scoring. Robben and Gonzalo Higuain sealed the 3 points.
With only 12 points to play for, victory for Madrid over Osasuna next weekend will guarantee them the title.

While Raul, Casillas & company are celebrating, Levante became the first team to be relegated.

Levante have been playing with some spiet in recent weeks but they were outclassed by Recreativo Huelva, a team who could be joining them in the lower leagues next season.

Casillas: A Madrid Legend

If only Barca can play on Wednesday like they played on Saturday, then Sir Alex will be smiling from Earhole to Asshole. Even though Rijkaard retained only 3 players from the United game, the Catalans were outplayed and outclassed.

The gamble didn’t pay off and Deportivo La Coruna ran out 2-0 winners. Barca has now won only one in their last nine games and is a point behind Villarreal.

Atletico Madrid looked to seal down 4th spot after a 1-1 draw away at Getafe. The hosts started brightly and took the lead in the 13th minute. Atletico’s star man Sergio Aguero equalized just before half time and both teams sealed a fair share of the points.

Transfer Rumours

Rijkaard admitted that Ronaldinho has played his last game for Barcelona

Sol Campbell might join his Pires at Villarreal

Jose Mourinho has spoken about managing at Barcelona and Real Madrid

Liverpool might be bidding for Atletico’s Maxi Roderiguez and Chelsea are willing to pay £35m to sign Argentine wonderkid Sergio Aguero.

Barcelona want Bayern left-back Philip Lahm.

Chelsea have told Real Madrid that they must pay £18m to sign Didier Drogba. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has also been mentioned as a target.

And finally

Samuel Eto’o might be playing for Spurs next season

Ferrari one-two. Get used to it.

'Ferrari one-two. Get used to it. For the second race in succession the Scuderia won without breaking sweat. A burst around the Circuit de Catalunya from pole in a car this good was like a Sunday afternoon mowing the lawn for Kimi Raikkon who took another confident step towards a second consecutive drivers title when he led the Spanish grand prix from start to finish to make it two wins in the season's first four races.
There was plenty of drama firstly for Heikki Kovalainen who briefly took over the lead ahead of the first round of pit stops. On lap 23 the MP4-23 suffered a front left wheel failure that sent the Finn across the gravel trap at turn nine at almost unabated speed, burying most of the car in the tyre barrier. Triple F1 Champion Sir Jackie Stewart "If that had happened in my day he would not have had a hope in hell of walking away from it. Watching it and seeing how deeply the car was buried was just atrocious. According to McClaren he was pulling 26Gs when he hit the tyre wall at an estimated 220km/h.
Nick Heidfeld fell victim of the badly thought out rules that govern this sport. With the safety car out and pits closed, Heidfeld was forced to pit from fifth position and required fuel. As a result he incurred a ten second stop and go penalty that effectively ended his race there and then. Fernando Alonso’s started from second and on lap 35 whilst running fifth, the Renault V8 failed and ended the Spaniards home race.

The simple fact Kovalainen was alive after smashing into a tyre wall at a force greater than a jet pilot who's just pressed the ejector button was a miracle

Rafa Benitez urges his players to keep focus although everyone had 1 eye on Wednesday

Benayoun scores though it took a thick deflection

Liverpool's draw away to Birmingham on Saturday, coinciding with Chelsea's victory over the Mancs (Yeah!) goes along way in the psychologiocal mindsets of the respectful teams going into the all crucial semi final second legs tonight and tomorrow.
Rafa Benitez was once again able to rest key players, Fergie and Avram, in two minds as to whether to field weakened squads, but did not have the liberty of doing so, as their fight for the Title hits the last turn. Liverpool go into tomorrow's game with all stars fit and raring to go, United and Chelsea battered and bruised after a solid battle on saturday. Chelsea emerged victorious, so moral is high going into the game, but they are weary, as they know Gerrard and Co have to go all out. Its going to be a another memorable semi final, and the Reds go out, we know they wil go out fighting...C'mon You Reds

FORMULA 1 UPDATE-SPANISH GRAND PRIX

F1 UPDATE
FROM A MAN THEY CALL SHUMI

Sunday's Spanish F1 Grand Prix at the Circuit de Catalunya
Fernando Alonso is determined to put on "a beautiful show" for his Spanish fans this weekend, but knows it may well be another ugly performance from Renault given their disappointing pace.
This weekend Ferrari will look to consolidate their position as clear title contenders and it should be a question of which red car takes the spoils. Massa was convincingly faster than Raikkonen in Bahrain and the two circuits are similar. Last year Massa managed to shrug off an unwise challenge from Alonso going into Turn 1, but this year it's more likely to be his team leader or Robert Kubica vying for that position.
BMW-Sauber will look to maintain their ability to mix it with Ferrari and McLaren. Ron Dennis believes that now the teams are back in Europe, the pace of development will see the top two of last season edge out a gap.

Kimi Raikkonen is upbeat about Ferrari's chances of making it three wins in a row in Barcelona this weekend.
After their opening race disaster in Australia, Ferrari hit back to win in both Malaysia and Bahrain. They were also at the top of their game during last week's four-day test at the Circuit de Catalunya.
Raikkonen believes things are looking good for the Maranello-based team ahead of this weekend's race in Spain. This weekend could also be the scene of the first wet race of the 2008 season.
Lap: 4.655 km Race distance: 66 laps, 307.104 km
Race lap record: Felipe Massa (Brazil) Ferrari 1:22.680 (2007)
The circuit, in the hills north of the city, is a demanding one for drivers and engineers but races have often been processional. The teams test there a great deal in the winter so the circuit holds no surprises, although wind can be a factor.
The circuit was completed in 1991 and has hosted the Spanish round of the championship since then.
It was modified after the 2006 season, with a chicane replacing the final two quick bends for safety reasons and to help overtaking.

SANTANA-SORRY UNCLE BAI GORA , NEXT TIME

I open the floor here regarding Bafanas new coach. I put my foot it in once more, lamabasting Perrreira for the money he is getting. This new bloke is only getting 50 000 less, ABOUT A MILLION a month. F$k sakes.........This for a man that has no International Coaching Experience.........WTF.......Im bitter. I believe this guys was sacked over 20 times on the job. I got the low down from SAFA. Uncle Bai Gora was close. SAFA just decided no we dont want to make him rich, we rather make a unknown Brazilian rich.

Uncle Bai Gora was better off. He coached a WFA team, was never sacked, has no International experience. After Uncle Bai Gora I would have went for Gordon Ingesund. Local is Lekker. A local bloke understands the cultures, the players, Ingesund has won the title 4 times.

Lets do some Kanti Naik stats here, or was it Miss Murmack.
1986-Argentina-Billardo (Argentinian)
1990-Germany- Beckenbauer (German)
1994- Brazil-Perreira (Brazilian)
1998- Brazil- Scolari (ok Portuguese but a memon and a kolved are still muslims)
1992- Brazil-Was it Scolari again
2006-Italy- Lippi (Italian)

So need I say more......

When Mariaane interviewed me for the Dutch Newspaper, She asked me what do you think of the Bafana situation. I said since 1996, the only year of Mohabbet (togetherness) Bafana has been on the decline, Too many coaches in too little time.........................

And Seth and Azee, call me un patriotic, But thats why I am Azurri through and through..
Oh and guess what I met a PIM Badaam, that reads Tarrot cards and tells fortunes..You know what she said that a month before the World Cup ,Santana will be fired and JOMO will be Coach.

Then I seen that Molana with the Chimpal (sandle spinner) walking around and saying 2010 Jomo...2010 Jomo

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE-SEMIS-THE POWER OF THE CHILLA

BARCELONA VS MAN UTD

PENALTINO...............YOU f#4KEN PENALTINO

The panel was strong again last night, and Nescafe was madness. The Barcelona section included myself, Ebie Loonat, Killa,ZK-I hope, Ebie Loonat, Mini, Fayaaz Haturhani and two guests, The Mancs were Seth,Taskeen, Hazrat,Khota, and the Punisher.

2 minuts in and we said f#4k, This Ronaldo is diving. And then Come Now Penaltino. H elived up to his blog name. He did everything right and spurned a glorious chance for a crucial road goal.

You see thats what Ive been saying, On a European night it takes one error like this. If someone gives you a gift you must take it, The Best Player in the world buckled under the pressure. Now thats the difference between Great and Good. But shame it happens to the best.
You know whats the bad thing. If Barcelona get 1, The Mancs must get 2. If Barca get 2 the Mancs must get three. Liverpool I feel are better off than the MANCS. The problem is not scoring , its defending at OT, and Barcelona certainly have the power to score....Messi, Henry, Deco, Xavi. One of them click and the MANCS are F#4ked.

To the MANCS, It has always baffled me ......the Toppie Fergusons tactics in Europe. I cant undertsand why he didnt attack. Park and Carrick. Park instead of Anderson. WTF. You need to score goals away from home. No Giggs. And why does he persist with Scholes

Anyways on the night, It was a game where Barca, could have created more.Id be happy if I were them

LIVERPOOL VS CHELSEA
"That was the power of the Chilla(40 days)"-Hazrat Y Rasool

This was the quote by Hazrat and his Mancs at Cafe Nescafe last night. Hazrats quote was in reference to Nicholas "Bilal" Anelka instigating the Chelsea goal. What was Risse doing. Did ANelka tell hime to come for 4o days. Why on earth did he not use his feet. It was a finish of a striker. And in the 94th minute. Thats theft. Its fucken theft. I must admit Im f#4ken gutted

Cafe Nescafe was rocking again as usual and we had a star studded panel. Myself, Mamadoo and Tovey, Seth and Azee, Mini, Killa, ZK & Taskeen, Shazo, Habib, Hazrat, Fayaaz and Mariaan , a dutch journalist who conducted some interviews with some of the faithful regarding Perreiras resignation for a Dutch newspaper.

All was going well when our labourer Kuyt put us in the lead after some clumsy Chelsea Defending. Tores spurned some glorious chances and Chech came big on the night, But f#4ken Risse, Maybe now I know what Faaiz Oz feels like after I stole from him two weeks ago.

But Killa and I were devastated. No one could see and feel our emotions. F34ks sakes.
But Rash Cassim is right. Maybe now we will go to the bridge and play attacking ball, instead of soaking it up and risking the equaliser.

And go visit our dadas. Again WHy no Crouch to drive home the advantage. It baffles me, Mams, Ejaz, Kopout, anyone..Why no Crouch?

This is what Rafa had to say

Rafa Questions Injury Time, Ref Plautz
Querying Konrad Plautz's decision to add four minutes of stoppage time to the second half, Liverpool boss Rafael Benítez expressed his disappointment with the 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Anfield in the Champions League.

Benítez reflected on Riise's last-minute own goal, saying, "I think that, in the end, you must be really disappointed."

Alluding to the stoppage time, he explained, "One minute in the first half, four minutes in the second half - and two hundred fouls! And then an own goal at the end of the game, so I'm really disappointed.

"Chances? Yes, we had better chances. They were a good team, they were strong, but we had the chances.

"But in football, at the end of the day, you need to score and to take your chances."

Rafa was asked if Chelsea's weekend tie with Manchester United could prove advantageous to his own outfit.

"Yes, I think so - but we know that we must play 90 minutes. The team today was working really hard, creating chances, and we must do the same away," he concluded.

All Things Considered

These words came within minutes of full-time, but even after Rafa had time to collect his thoughts before the actual press conference, his views did not soften at all.

"I was surprised that [Chelsea's goal] wasn't a free-kick or corner, because it's always throw-ins, free-kicks and corners, but in the end it was an own goal.

"We're really disappointed, but we have 90 minutes, we need to go there, and look for a win."

Was he disappointed in the officials, too?

"Yeah," he emphasised.

"It is not the first time. I'm really disappointed.

"Too much stopapge time? Everything was... we knew the game, because the game against Marseille* was much the same, so we knew it would be very difficult. And at the end, it was difficult.

"You can't blame the referee for the own goal, but - I don't know the exact time - there was one minute of stoppage time in the first half and four in the second half, maybe five... it's difficult to explain."

* Konrad Plautz officiated Liverpool's 1-0 home defeat to Marseille on Matchday 2 in October.

Owners at Anfield as Riise own goal spoils the party

Dirk Kuyt scores the opening goal to send Anfield and its looking good

Hey John, you look like you get less sleep then me !

Benitez : “Riise, there’s 5 minutes left, don’t %$@ up !”
Grant : duh duh, look at the enthusiasm in my face

Riise: “Duh what, I thought you said use my head Boss, plus I always wanted to score at the Kop”

Chelsea walk away with a precious away goal thanks to Liverpool’s totally putrid left back “Jou Naaier” Riise. Not only is he absolutely useless, but he is a total waste of space. I have a feeling Abramovich hugged him after the game. The moment Aurelio got injured, and the camera’s showed Riise getting ready, I started to get edgy. He hasn’t scored all season, and he hasn’t done any worthwhile defending either. What value does he offer the Reds? Surely the Argie youngster Emiliano Insua could pull off a more competent performance at the back for Liverpool? After all the struggling and striving last night, Liverpool deserved to win, but Alas, it ain’t over till fat frank Lampard sings. Now the pressure is on Gerrard and Co, to do what they hadn’t done before in a Champion League encounter- score a goal at the bridge. I wonder if Carra hit him with a right, or if Martin “Prison Break” Skrtel stabbed him in his head, but definitely Riise is the most unpopular man on Merseyside at the moment, OK maybe after Tom Hicks, who is in town possibly for talks with DIC.
Chelsea face United on the weekend, and don’t have the liberty of fielding a weaker team. That could be a positive point for Liverpool to exploit, with Birmigham at the weekend, Liverpool do have the chance to field a weekend side
I still have my Liverpool flag on my back board, I am wearing my Liverpool Kit, Jacket and scarf and like Liverpool’s famous anthem goes ..”with hope in your heart”, I still believe we can overcome the deficit and make it to Moscow in May.
Hope springs eternal, and Now its time to show that Liverpool can once again, Rise to the occasion, just Like a well baked loaf of bread. C’mon You Reds

SUPER TUESDAY-THE DAY BEFORE THE BLOOD BATH

This week on Super Tuesday We focus on the days before the Bloodpath. We obviously know that Chelsea are our Geraaks but THIS fortnight is Big. We going to focus on the Champions league from both Liverpool and the MANCS, We also have our LA LIGA round up by Irfaan Adam and I hope he is supporting Barcelona. I met Joe Dindar yesterday, had a chat with him. The man is a die hard MANC. I told him that the Wednesday night we will celebrate Lionel Messi day. What can I say. Its going to be humdingers. I cant wait. I also spoke to Husein from Nescafe and told him to paint it RED after tonight...But then again he too is a MANC. Also we have lost the Chavel so we looking for a writer for Theater of Dreams

Anfield horror for Chelsea ?
KOPics of discussion

Jermaine Pennant scores by mistake, and everyone has a good laugh
Jokes aside, great strike by the most inconsistent/incompetent winger in the premiership

Crouch scores his 10th premiership goal in a highly frustrating season for the Lanky Striker

Well done lads, now I can save my energy to tear Chelsea apart, hope Tal Ben Haim is playing

What the %$#@ Voronin, can’t you do anything right?

Rafa Benitez was expected to rest his core players for the matchup on Saturday at Craven Cottage, and that’s exactly what he did. Fernando Torres, Fabio Aurelio, Xabi Alonso, Jamie Carragher,Ryan Babel, Dirk Kuyt(?) and Steven Gerrard, all absent from the starting XI. The win was a bonus, though Mash’s knock and Hyppia’s head wound are worrying signs. Steven Gerrard is suffering from stiff neck, though Rafa insists he should be fine for the Chelsea game tonight.
Our second team got the job done, but one thing for sure, Liverpool clearly lack quality in depth. We have glorified benchwarmers like Riise, Pennant and Lucas, and they aren’t the type of players you would have if you had “proper” funds available. Nonetheless, a 2 -0 victory away from home, solidifying Champions league next season, and being able to rest our Top Class players for tonight, and I think Rafa will be happy. That on the field though, and I’m not too sure, how the Gaffer feels about Rick the Dick Parry and his hypocritical actions with Tom and Jerry over in the states with a certain Jurgen Klinsmann, that really is anyone’s guess.

Champion League Liverpool vs Chelsea (Again)

No, its not a triple dose of Deja vu`, Liverpool and Chelsea meet once again in the Champion League semi final. One twist to it this tme around though. The 1st leg is at Anfield. Liverpool had the backing of the Kop in the 2nd leg of both occasions and Liverpool progressed. What type of a mindset and tactics will Rafa instill in his players. Does Liverpool fly out there early on and try and get the opening goal, or is it too risky given there is a chance Chelsea could get that all important away goal? Its tension abound for players and fans, but one things for sure. It will be the managers who will mastermind the outcome, games like these are usual decided by a key tactical decision by the Manager, and Grant might feel Rafa has the upper hand when it comes to game-changing tactical changes. But Liverpool fans will take a 30 Yard Gerrard strike with a smile. C'mon You Reds, the cold of Moscow awaits....

LA LIGA ROUND UP

Barca finally blow it
Irfaan Adam

Barcelona have all but thrown away their slim chances of making a last gasp effort of winning the league. The Catalans played out a dull 0-0 draw against city rivals Espanyol at the Nou Camp.

More bad news for Barcelona is that Thierry Henry sat out training yesterday with the
Flu, and it is still unclear if Titi will be fit for the United game. I know Barca have been crap for most of the season but all of us know that Henry has a remarkable knack of scoring crucial goals against United. On a positive note Lionel Messi is back in action and Carlos Tevez has labeled him as the danger man.

Villarreal took full advantage of Barcelona’s slip up and jumped ahead of them into second place. Nihat gave The Yellow Submarines the lead early on and Santiago Cazorla wrapped up the points in the second half.

Real Madrid have literally wrapped the title this season after a 2-0 victory over Racing Santander. A Raul strike (he must be kicking down the door to be selected for Euro 2008) gave the champions the lead in the first half and Gonzalo Higuain sealed the deal with a goal in the last minute.

Santander should count themselves lucky, because fellow Champions league hopefuls Atletico Madrid and Sevilla not only lost, but caught a hiding this weekend.

Atletico were thrashed 3-1 at home to Betis, a Sergio Aguero goal not enough to inspire the home team to a victory which would have made them clear favourites for 4th place.
At the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Sevilla got the shock of their lives, the ever improving Almeria, showed no respect at all to their hosts and handed out a 4-1 belting. After going down 4 and playing with 10 men, Fredi Kanoute atleast pulled 1 back for the hosts but it was not enough.

A good week just turned on it’s head for Valencia. Coach Ronald Koeman finally got a few nights of sleep after Los Che beat Getafe 3-1 midweek to lift the Copa De La Rey.

But their celebrations were brought to a halt on Sunday by a brilliant Atletico Bilbao who whacked them 5-1. The result leaves Valencia 2 points above the relegation places with 5 games of the season remaining.

It would be sad to see them go down as everyone knows the quality they have in their squad.

Transfer Rumours

Ronaldinho’s move to Milan is in doubt, after the Italians admitted that they had failed to match Barcelona's asking price for the player.

Staying with Barca Samuel Eto’o has warned them if they do not start winning trophies he’s ready to pack his bags.

Atleito Madrid has agreed a deal with Ajax for Dutch defender Jonny Heitinger.

Man United are keen on Sevilla captain Dani Alves for 25million pounds.

Chelsea are to spend big on either Kaka or Messi

And last but not least

David Villa has been linked with a move to the Premiership with Liverpool and Arsenal fighting it out for his signature

This article I took from Goal.com. Ya the managers. I must be honest. You miss mourinho...His jibes, his insults, his theatrics. To me Avram Grant is a MUGG. Did you watch his Yes , No Interview. I was trying to get the transcript. One thing that scares me though tonight, is that it is Chelsea that are the underdogs and the fact that we go the Bridge last

Liverpool boss Rafa Benítez has stirred things before tomorrow's Champions League semi-final first leg against Chelsea by claiming managers at Stamford Bridge are irrelevant - the Spaniard reckons Blues owner Roman Abramovich is the one who really runs the team.

Despite the problems in the Anfield boardroom at present nobody can doubt that when it comes to matters on the field Benítez is in charge. But the Liverpool boss doesn't reckon the same holds true for his counterpart Avram Grant, nor the Israeli's predecessor José Mourinho. Same Old Chelsea“The key to them is Abramovich," he opined. "The only difference I see between Mourinho and Grant is in their Press conferences! I watched the game at Everton and they were playing the same as they always did. "They have been in the final of the Carling Cup, they face us in the semi-finals of the Champions League and they are still in the race for the title. They have enough good players to win. So we must be really careful and have a lot of respect for them. No Grant Grudges, No Mourinho Longing"I don’t like to talk about Grant," continued the Spaniard when asked what he made of the Israeli's future at Chelsea. "As a manager, I have a lot of respect for him because he’s being correct. I have nothing bad to say.” As for the Blues' previous boss: “The media might miss Mourinho, but not me,” smiled Benitez. “I have enough things to do in Liverpool now. At the end of the day, the players are the key more than the managers. Managers can talk before the game but, during the game, the players make the difference. "We are important for the Press conferences to say something and some games, yes, the managers are important. But the best thing for a manager to do is not create any mess so the players can just play. We have strikers like Torres but they have Drogba - if he’s fit - and Anelka, who is a good player. You can say Gerrard, Torres, Kuyt, Babel or someone, could be the difference for us. But it’s also about the team working hard.”

Ok I managed to get the famous Avram Grant Yes No Interview. Here is the transcript

So after the win at Everton last night, the Manager had to give the obligitory post match interview, something our former boss was very good at, especially at this time of the year. Avram however, appears to be losing the plot. If he was trying to make a point against Sky TV, then he failed, as you don’t bite the hand which feeds (read: Broadcasts your club worldwide) you.

Here is a transcript of his interview.
Question: “What pleased you most about the game?”Answer: Grant: (Long pause with several sighs). Eventually: “I don’t know.”
Q: Is it a relief to win?”A: “Yes”.
Q: “Were you impressed by the performance?” (Long pause).A: “Sorry? I was thinking about the game.”
Q: What is it that’s on your mind Avram? You seem to be distracted. Do you have a problem or an issue?A: “No problem. I’m OK. Sometimes I don’t have nothing to say.”
Q: “Do you have a message for the Chelsea fans?”A: “You represent the Chelsea fans?”
Q: “No. I wanted to ask you, have you got a message for the Chelsea fans? You must believe you’re still in the title race now?”A: “No message.”
Q: “Does this result put you right back in it now?”A: “I don’t know.”
Q: “What is wrong? You seem less voluble than usual. It is because of Sky TV?”A: “Maybe it’s because of you, I don’t know.”
Q: “Is it easier to say nothing Avram?”A: “It’s a good question, I don’t know what to answer.”
Q: “Is this because of Sky? Is it a protest?”A: “No, no. Sky is OK. I enjoy watching them.”
Q: “Is this a protest against newspapers?”A: “No, why?”
Q: “Why would you refuse to speak to us properly?”A: “I think I answered every question.”
Q: “You’re two points behind Manchester United and you don’t know if you’re still in the title race?A: “No.”
Q: “That’s not the proper answer to the question, is it? Have you told the players you don’t know you’re back in the title race then?”A: “What I tell the players is something else.”
Q: “So you’ve given them a different answer?”
A: “So you want me now to tell you what I tell the players? I would be happy to do it but let me first speak with them.”
Q: “If you would just answer our question, would you say you’re in the title race again?”A: “I don’t know.”
Q: “Given that Chelsea have won again to put pressure on Manchester United and you will be on the back pages of the newspapers tomorrow presumably you would like to gain some positive publicity rather than this bizarre silence?” A: “Sorry you can write whatever you want, I can answer whatever I want.”
Q: “Do you feel under pressure to deliver a trophy? Is that the reason for the monosyllabic answers?”A: “No.”
Q: “Are you upset? Do you feel you are being misrepresented?”A: “Maybe upset because it’s a bad season, I don’t know.”

Q: “Did Michael Essien collapse during the game?”A: “He had some problem but he’s OK.”
Q: “How is Michael Ballack?”A: “Injured.”
Q: “What is the problem with Ballack?”A: “Injured.”
Q: “Have you ever played the Yes/No game?”
Chelsea communications officer Simon Taylor: “I don’t think this is really going anywhere.”

Well Chelsea, As I always said ,tonight you have to cross that white line to the most intimidating night of your lives. If we get a 2 goal cushion at Anfield, We will cross the bridge

Super Tuesday Question
Who will take over from Perreira. These are teh reoprts coming in from news24.com. I mean for f#4ks sake. Do we just want to make a man rich. This man is a Mugg. He has never coached at International Level. F$ck this. As a citizen of SA I am f#4ken upset. I want Ingesund. Please share your views guys

Johannesburg - Brazilian Joel Santana will be the new coach of Bafana Bafana, subject to being granted a work permit.
The 59-year-old's club, Flamengo, confirmed as much on their official website.
"It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," Santana says. "To take part in a World Cup is the dream of any professional."
Santana is believed to have been recommended by Parreira and will take up his position after the May 4 Final of Brazil's Carioca championship.
Flamengo have expressed disappointment at losing their coach, but say they could never match the financial package offered by Safa.
"He said he will earn in 30 months more than he has earned in the last 30 years," Flamengo vice-president Kleber Leite says. "His dream is to coach at a World Cup."
The former centre back played for Vasco da Gama during a playing career that lasted nine years. He failed to win an international cap and retired at the age of 32 to move straight into management.
Something of a journeyman, he has coached in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Japan, but never at international level. Somewhat worryingly, he has also coached 14 teams in the last eight years, and 26 in his 27-year coaching career.
Bafana will be hoping he can stay in one place for the next two years at least.
Parreira officially resigned on Monday to return to Brazil to be with his ailing wife, but has agreed to stay on as a technical advisor.
It is understood his assistants, Pitso Mosimane and Jairo Leal, will also remain with the technical team to work with Santana.

Weekend Soccer Round Up-PEREIRA WTF

It was a relaxing weekend, Whats new, Power Outages, Cold .....the usual stuff. From a sporting perspective the MANCS edge closer to the title. But one of the more quieter weekends, Footie on Sunday again and we got thumped 3-0. Had a young lad in the team that probably had a Michaelangelo breakfast before the game. He couldn't hold and gave us a thorough description of where to go for breakfast and what to eat. Its the second time in the history of the club that the Sargent came calling.......

The rest of the Sunday was spent eating Lol. But first up I have to address this issue. I phoned Azee and Seth immediately about hearing on Perreira.
Now we all know on the blog that Im not a fan of Perreira.

So lets address this issue critically with some mature comments. Why is Perreira leaving us. Is it because SAFA does not want to raise his salary to 3.8 bars. Could be? Im gonna ask a few questions here and spark of a debate. Please when leaving a comment regarding the Perriera debate refer to the questions.

1. As I said, maybe he knows something we dont. Now what could this be?
2. His family needs him, I heard his wife is ill and well we which her the best.Is this it?
3. Maybe he knows he has a squad thats destined to fail or at least he believes that he cannot make miracles in SA
4. Maybe the state of this country in terms of loadshedding, price hikes, crime has driven him away.
5. Did Perriera do a noble thing or was it a k#4k thing to do.?No scruples

And lastly perhaps he just buckled under the pressure of a frenzied football mad nation?
What is it.....What is the Perreira Situation.

Oh and last but not least, If he gallantly f#4ks off...Who should be the man that takes charge.?I say Gorden Ingesund. Azee, maybe my constant moaning will throw Gordon in the helm

THEATER OF DREAMS

I think Im gonna become a MANC supporter. Maybe then and then only will they Not Win. It seems that teh more nazr you put on them the more they f#4ken win. Again here they would have been in teh perishaans if it wasnt for the Tevez equaliser. No they must draw a game if they lose gaiinst Chelsea. F34k it. The Mancs have it all to lose. And it seems that they have the players to WIN the title. So f#4k it yeah...Everything though is focussed on the Champions League against Barca. Many debate that Barca will come through, then again many debate that without Ronaldinho, Deco and Puyol Barcelona are F#4kall..
Whaterver the case this week is the SLAUGHTER
ALWAYS A GUNNER
Had supper with Jives on Sunday night....We debated the Arsenal situation....The future of the players, the captain etc. It was said that the signing of a striker and a central defender and Arsenal are on their way. But Jives made a good point stating that If stars arrive, what happens to Wengers nuturing of the litys...so he concluded by saying that Wenger knows his thing. Also I see that Arsene has urged all the young Gunners to stay. Even Fabregas...But you know the stitch...When you going out with a badaam and she leaves you because you not producing Silverwear, the big clubs start circling like vultures and try to pull tactics of wooing your girl. Same thing here...The big clubs are like vultures trying to sign the Young guns. If they are like chics from the old era, they stay or else they will move on for the money and push life
FROM THE KOP END
Chamopions League is all but safe. Alot of debate has been surrounding the problems at Anfield Off the field that is, With Hicks and DIC and Rafa. Now the latest coming in is that Liverpool are in Financial problems and the sale of Tores is beneficiall. AC MIlan and Juve are eportedly watching over Torres. Another thing looming is a mass exodus of some owes at Anfield. If you ask me.....Benayoun, Kuyt, and a host of other owes need to be brought in, We need to be Up There challenging for every major trophy there is
CHEL$KI
It is said that Jose has signed for Inter and is taking Drogba and Lampard with him. Then it is said that Guus is on his way to the bridge. We were just talking yesterday..What happened to the likes of Sidwell, Tel Ben Haim, Winston Bogaarde and all these other duds Chelsea signed. Big things gonna happen next year for sure.
In the rest of the premiership the usual things happened. Villa thumping Birmingham in a local Derby and Owen scoring a brace in a Derby win over Sunderland
SPANISH LA LIGA
Barcelona drew,,,Madrid Won. What can I say ...Riyad Loonat smiles again. But Il wait for him next year in Europe,,,Because Juve are almost back....We back he he.....More on La Liga in Super Tuesday. Good thing for Barca is that Europe is all thats left to play for
SERIE A UPDATE
A great win for Juve and a hat trick For Del Piero. Roma F#4ken drew and well Inter look set for the scudetto again. Milan won 5-1 against Reggina and Im happy for Juve. We need some big signings and we competing for Europe Again......
Forza Juve
Oh and Killa ,Good win for Bayern in the German Cup. You guys are putting Luca Toni in prime form for the Euros
