Well its only fair to hear what these Man Utd Muggs have to say. Got to Alternate. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that I am Anti-Man Utd. So todays interview is with Yusuf Seth. A man who I meet on Sundays sometimes at the Rosebank Flea Market and share some friendly football banter. He also has been a loyal supporter to the blog. But he supports Man Utd

I have sent out the Liverpool ones and its only fair that I have to put one up of the Utd Muggs. There are many passionate owes out there and I hope to get interviews from the likes of Hoosein Mayet, Azee Moola, The Ackals, Mo Seedat, Ebie Seedat and a host of other Man Utd MUGGS.

Vitalstatistics: A Man Utd Fan that has been around for a long time now

swoosh: How long have you been a Man Utd Fan?
seth: Since i was about 8 years old so that makes it 18 years.

swoosh: Have you ever been to Old Trafford?
seth:Not yet but i have seen em live twice in SA.

swoosh: Who was the greatest ever Man Utd Player of any generation?
seth: George Best

swoosh: Im not a big Man Utd Fan but I think Cantona was a Class Act. Dont u think he still had a good few seasons in him?
seth:Definitely had at least a couple of seasons. But i think Keano's assessment of him was pretty spot on when saying his magic never pitched for the truely big European nights.

swoosh: Roy Keane, Difficult Man to replace. 18 million on Carrick. Do you think its a waste? Dont u think you should have opted for Viera and a striker instead?
seth:Think Carrick will develop into a fantastic footballer but he's not the finished product yet and there's only 1 Keano.
The initial fee is 14m, still overpriced, but if they do eventually pay the 18m it means we'll have won something decent as the rest of the fee is based on their PL, CL and FA cup performance i guess.
Perhaps Viera for 2 solid years would have been ideal with Carrick learning from him, i know he said he'd love to play for Utd but would he really have betrayed his toppie Arsene.
Think they should have chased harder for Ballack though.
Trez in a UTD jersey would have been perfect to replace Ruud.

swoosh:What are your views on Fergusons signings thus far?
seth: For this season its only Carrick so not much to say but at 1 stage in his career it looked like he had the midas touch pulling out Cantona, Schmeichel, Kanchelskis, Ronnie Johnsen & The Gunner for peanuts. Lately though he's missed more than hit with Muggs such as Djemba Djemba, Kleberson, Liam Miller, Evra.
Heinze was pure genius though.

swoosh: I think Fergusons time is up. Who would you see as a successor?
seth: Martin O' Neill's name always comes up and i think hiss record's pretty decent domestically and abroad, he did take an ordinary Celtic team to a Uefa cup final only to lose to the Special 1.
I've never been a fan of Juve or Italy but i always thought Lippi was special and i'd go for him bringing in a fresh approach and ideas. Rumour has it he's started English classes.

swoosh: Basically what is wrong at man Utd. Do you feel they are slipping away from the rest?
seth: There seems to be a lack of ideas. Fergie didn't look to keep improving the squad and challenging his players when we were winning championships by a country mile. He carried on with the same bunch who became too comfortable in their places. Players lost the desire and hunger for success especially after winning the treble, some even saying that if they never won anything again they'd be satisfied. That's Bull**it coz why do you play- to win- and if you not at Utd to win you shouldn't be there but be replaced by guys willing to fight for it all. Look at Barca, La Liga and CL double and yet they sign class like Zambrotta, Thuram and Eidur.

swoosh: What are your honest predictions for Utd this season.?
seth: League- 2nd behind Chelsea, Scousers have improved but need a season for the new boys to gel. Arsenal still look like they lacking something.
CL- depending on the draw a quarterfinal appearance is possible and then anything can happen but if we meet a Barca or Real we'll be out.
FA and Worthnothing cup are probably realistic chances of silverware.

swoosh: Do you feel that Chelsea can be beaten with their superstars?
seth: Domestically
Truthfully- NO but one can always dream. As long as its not the scousers beating them and winning stuff though.
Europe- definitely.

swoosh: Who do you think has been Utd's best signing this season?
seth: Only 1 so far so not much choice there.

swoosh: As a Utd Fan what has been the best and worst moment for you throughout the years.?
seth: Best moment NOU CAMP 99 but only after the 90th minute.
Fergie's 1st piece of silverware was also memorable the FA cup final 1st game against Palace.
Worst- watching the scousers come from 3 nil down to defeat AC.
Faggot Moggi probably had a hand in it.

swoosh: Wayne Rooney. All the hype and he let England Down.?
seth: Wayne was not fully fit going into the cup and the selection of Crouch, Walcott and a half fit Owen only added to the pressure for him to perform. Playing as a lone striker also hampered the lad. At Utd he never plays alone upfront, Saha or Ruud always in support. The non selection of a recognised goal scorer like Defoe was a bigger let down then the performance of Wayne.

swoosh: Guys on my blog have been saying that the new man utd kit is s*it.What did you think of ur ANC KIT & Liverpools arid orange kit?
seth: ANC kit probably ranks as 1 of the worse of all time along with the unlucky grey kit that was burnt at half time against the Saints.
The biggest fools are the Muggs who buy the crappy kits.
But any piece of clothing with the name Liverpool on it is always worse.

swoosh: Pick out ur stars for the Campaign?
Ballack, Rooney, Henry as usual, Cahill, Duff and hate to say it but Bellamy.

swoosh: If I were to tell you Del Piero is signing for Utd. What would be your views.
seth: Never a fan of Del, he flattered to deceive on many an occassion. Unless its free it would be money wasted.

swoosh: Do you think they will miss Van Nistelrooy?
seth: Absolutely, 150 goals in 223 games.
Correct me if i'm wrong but thats better than all the current PL strikers who've got to 150.
Isn't it also the fastest or 2nd fastest in Utd history.

swoosh: Can you pick your all time UTD X11?
seth: Tough 1, but i'll give it a go with a 3-4-3 combo

Neville, Pallister, Irwin.
Charlton, Robson, Keane, Giggs
Cantona, Ruud, Best.

swoosh: Do you think with Benitez depth in his squad and new signings you guys will f&*k them up this year. Remember thay dont have David James anymore?
seth:Even if they sign Ronaldinho and Messi we'll still F**K them up.
Putting on that red kit with a duck or is it a cockateel on the badge just makes you sh*t.
Remeber Morientes and Cisse could both play ball before thay came to Liverpool.
Our dagga dronkie Rio shines against 1 team only.

swoosh: You Muggs are lucky that Juve are not there in the Champions League. We would have f&**ed you owes up
seth: Never, Ryandinho always saves his best for Juve. Remember when we broke your Izzet 3-0 or 3-1 in Turin with Ryandinho and a bunch of kids.
