THE FINAL - DID WE EXPECT ANYTHING ELSE

I was privileged to have watched a few overs with my Analyst for this World Cup- The Masajee. And his analysis was spot on. Sri Lanka was ShellShocked. Adam Gilchrest played a gem of a knock and virtually took the game away from the Lankans. It was just Brutal from the offset and the ease in which he took care of some of the Bowlers like Lasith and Murali. But the Ozzies are a machine and a World Class Outfit. I dont even have to say that. The Masajee then touted Jayasuriya as the Key player for Sri Lanka and when Jayasuriya went so did Sri Lanka.
But did we expect the script to be any different. I must admit I wanted Sri Lanka to do the extra Ordinary but these Ozie Owes .................
Faaiz Oz must be happy. Austrailia have won it three times in a row now. Like Ponting said "NO TEAM HAS GIVEN THEM A CLOSE RUN.
But This World Cup will best be remembered as One that cast dark shadows. The death of Woolmer, The elimination of India & Pakistan. The pitches, facilities, The mayhem that Rudi Koetsen & Co produced in the final, The Length of the tournament. Amidst all that we Salute the Ozies.
