In a statement, Styles said: "All referees enter into matches hoping not to make any mistakes but understanding that they may happen, what none of us want is for any mistake to potentially affect the result of the match. "Yesterday, in mistakenly awarding a penalty, I accept that I may have affected the result of the match and for that I apologise."

fair play to styles..don't get me wrong..hate the bast#@d for ROBing us of 3 points but you have to hold your hands up and accept especially when a guy comes out and aknowledges the mistake..these things normally balance themselves out during the course of the season..i think what really pissed me off was that he's the only one who thought it was a penalty..even the chelscum okes had no idea he gave a penalty at 1st...anyways no use crying over spilt milk..let's get it right this weekend
