HEARTBREAK AT THE BULLRING

Anzo and Fayaaz display our banner which read "HASH MAKE THEIR TASHKEEL"

The Bullring as always was amazing. Myself,Anees,Zahed and Faiyaz made our way and ofcourse we wanted to see Hash get off to a flyer. Their was alot of speculation regarding the weather and as South Africa bowled well we had no idea of the drama that was going to unfold at the Wanderers. Again their was no Imran Tahir and Faf Du Plessis.SA were unchanged, bowled well and restricted India to a reasonable total.

(A few of the Plazas toppies above). As the game went On We mingled with the crowd as usual ,Had fun with the Fans and we joked with the India Fans that we would wrap up the game after 30 overs. As the evening drew near the feeling stadium was electric. Uncle Dyna from the Plaza Toppies kept us going as we mingled with the Fans.

SA closed the India Innings and we all awaited the entrance of Hash

After a sleek Hash boundary he departed early and many of the Hash fans said "AWE MAJA IS OVER NOW" The fun is over but I felt Smith wasin for a big knock and thats just what he did. SA were looking comfortable and then wickets started to tumble. Steyn was run out, Morkel hit out and then it was nerves.Could we do it. People started mentioning Chokers again but I mena there was so many overs. We just had to see it out.We couldnt lose. Tsotsobe survived and we just needed 2 runs.2 runs of alot of balls. The atmosphere was electric. A typical night at the BULL RING

It was sown to Parnel and Tsotsobe. What should we do. Play it out and wait for it. Suddenly Parnel gets caught and its over. We needed only two runs. So many permutations. What,If How,Why...?
All I ca say is ,ARE WER CHOKERS AS MANY FANSARE CLAIMING. ?What are your thoughts?

In Footie there were no upsets but some big games.
As King Kenny made and emotional return to Anfield swamped by banners and chants Liverpool again failed to hold on to their lead. I call it woefull defending.
Guys like Steve Nicol,Mark Lawrenson,The Kennedy brews and Alan Hansen must be crying.
Everton took a 2-1 league and lucky we got a penalty and Kenny got his first point. We just have to labour on.

Vidic was colossal as 10 man Manchester United held of Spursat White Heart Lane. Peter Crouch had  a glorious opportunity early on. Vidic though contained the Spurs attackers and I think Rednapp should have brought Defoe and Pavlechenko on 60 minutes. 0-0 it finished and the MANCS march on. There were also good wins for Chelsea and Arsenal. In LA LIGA Barcelona were rampant again as Madrid drew. Ronaldo hit the cross bar but it was not enough as MADRID slipped up. In Serie A Alex Del piero scored a trademark free kick as JUVE got back to winning ways against BARI. Inter are reformed under Leonardo and AC MIlan drew at Lecce.

THE GUNNERS GO TOP

Arsenal are on top of the premiership and Im sure for the Gunners fans its sheer delight. The MANCS game was postponed due to weather and Arsenal took advantage of a sakraat ridden Chelsea to climb on top. The day belonged to Samir Nasri who scored two WONDERFUL goals. The second waspurely Sublime. Wenger was delighted and the question still lingers on.Can Arsenal maintain the burfee at the summit of the EPL.

As for Chelsea Well everyone must be still shellshocked. What is happening to them.A few weeks ago Carlo Ancelottis job was a safe as ever. And now there are rumours of him facing a quick exit from the Bridge.Chelsea drew again. Its not like they are shit or a weak team. They have the players.I cant understand what is going on though.

Liverpool play tonight agains Aston Villa.A oke was saying at a Valeema this week that Hodgeson has two games to prove himself or else Rijkaard is in.Lets see what unfolds

In La Liga both Penaltino and Messi were on sublime form as they guided their clubs to victory
In Serie A Juve bounced back after that disgraceful elimination from the Europa League where they have drawn all their messages. What is Europe without Juve.
Milan beat Brecia 3-0 and Inters Benites looks set to go as Inter Milan were humbled by Lazio 3-1. Roma threw away a two goal lead to draw 2-2 against Chievo

In South Africa one of the biggest Derby games, The Soweto Derby ad Telkom Challenge Final saw Kaiser Chiefs thump Orlando Pirates 3-0 and it was great to see all the Chiefs Fand smiling so much in Johannesburg. As they passed you they cried Amokhosi for Life

In the Ashes Kevin Pieterson scored a double century as the English continue to haunt Australia in Austrailia. The question is are Austrailia finished.
On Monday Clark was gone as Swan made it difficult for Austrailia. But this Test belong to KP. Love him or hate him,Just how good is Kevin Pieterson

Kevin Pietersen Profile

By: tourism
He's tall, he's loud, he's brash ... but "KP" is also a superb batsman, capable of annexing most of England's Test records before he's done. He reached 1000 one-day runs in just 21 matches - equalling Viv Richards' record - while he made more runs in his first 25 Tests than anyone else except Don Bradman. He's strong on the drive, with a crunching pull and hook, while his signature shot is the "flamingo" - a wristy pull-drive played with back foot balletically off the ground. There's also the switch-hit reverse sweep, which needed a ruling on its legality from MCC. Kevin Pietersen Profile

Pietersen's career path has been unconventional, starting with his decision to quit South Africa in protest at a racial-quota system which, he felt, was hindering him. Back then he was seen more as an offspinner who could bat a bit, but in county cricket it was immediately apparent that description was back to front. The runs flowed, and it was no surprise when, as soon as he was eligible, he played one-dayers for England in Zimbabwe late in 2004. A good display there resulted in a late call-up for the tour that followed in South Africa, where Pietersen clouted three superb centuries to silence crowds which booed him as a turncoat.

Test cricket beckoned, and he made his debut under more pressure, being preferred to the 100-Test veteran Graham Thorpe for the 2005 Ashes. Pietersen started with two half-centuries at Lord's, then ensured the return of the urn after 17 years with a stroke-filled 158 at The Oval. The next five years were a whirl of runs and celebrity engagements, plus a short-lived tilt at the England captaincy. That started well, with a century and victory against South Africa at The Oval in 2008, but ended in recriminations early the following year after a falling-out with the coach, Peter Moores. Pietersen recommended, rather too publicly, that Moores be removed ... and got his way, only to be summarily sacked as well.

The flak probably affected Pietersen more than he cared to admit. Before the captaincy debacle, abuse had rarely fazed him. Early on he reacted to some banter in a club game in Australia by announcing that it was bad form to sledge the man of the match before he'd batted: money followed mouth with a century. Occasionally the show-off does win out, as in the first Ashes Test of 2009 at Cardiff, when an extraordinary swipe at Nathan Hauritz's underestimated offspin clipped his helmet and plopped obligingly into short leg's hands.

Injuries have been a worry - that 2009 Ashes campaign was cut short by leg trouble that needed surgery - but when fit and fired up Pietersen is a bowler's nightmare, and the wicket England's opponents crave the most. Latterly he has sometimes looked bored with domestic cricket, quitting Hampshire after 2009 as, he said, it was too far from the Chelsea home which, just to hammer home the celebrity lifestyle he now enjoys, Pietersen shares with his pop-singer wife Jessica.

WAITING FOR THE EL CLASSICO

The El Classico is shaping up to be one epic showdown. Messi vs Ronaldo. Two of the greatest players in the world currently going head to head. Both teams equipped with an army of Galacticos. Both teams on sublime form and thumping teams. The rivalry is fierce. Both Messi and Ronaldo scored hat tricks this weekend and we now shaping up for a mammoth collision next week Monday. I cant wait.
Barca were emphatic as they scored 8 goals this weekend. Madrid scored 5. This ones gonna be big

In the EPL there was another fierce London Derby.Spurs vs Arsenal. Arsenal went two goals up and immediately I recieved a voice note from Faaiz Oz. He was cursing Spurs and sent me the chanting of the Arsenal Fans. I was at a function and when I was done I called him at about 8 pm for the final score. He swore me for mocking them and said that He will not watch Arsenal for a long time. They f34ked up a 2 goal lead and lost to Spurs after 17 years. The man was gutted.Moosa Areff didnt even respond to my BB message
But thats what I say about Arsenal. They play the most attractive football but just dont have what it takes to win.
Wenger says it all
Liverpool were convincing for a change and it seems like no one else wants to place a foothold on the top.Chelsea messed up again. Unbelievable. And when the MANCS smell blood of which there is plenty of they responded to the situation with a victory.

In Serie A Juve were back to winning ways along with Milan. The Nedved look a like Kraslic continues to be a revelation as his solo effort powered Juve to a win ove Genoa.Milan beat Fiorentina 1-0 ad The pressure mounts on RAFA as Inter lost to Chievo.

In cricket AB De Villiers broke the record. ABR beat me to the comment but follow the banter on his questioned posed as to Why Amla was not allowed to continue and AB was.
But Well Done AB De Villiers on his record breaking feat and becoming the highest scoring South African Test Batsmen

In Tennis the season ending ATP Championships is underway in the O2 arena in london.
In the first group Andy Murray defeated Robin Soderling while Federer beat David Ferrer
In the other group Nadal squares off against Roddick while Djokovic takes on Thomas Berdych

A MONTH OF FALOODA AND MALOODA

As the Faloodah flows Maloodah keeps on scoring. Its all happening in week tow of the footie.Transfers, the Big boys all winning...a few upsets along the way.Ibrahimovic to AC Milan, Raul Meireles to Liverpool
Juventus lost to Bari.I cant understand.A host of quality signings,Bonucci,Pepe,Quagliarella..and a opening day loss to Bari.Maybe okes are just gelling.Torres superbly got on the scoresheet against West brom and Nani dominated for the Mancs? Is Berbatov back....and Rafa continues to screw up Inter. It was also a weekend of upsets with the Big Money spenders. Man City were Bent over at the death,Spurs lost to Wigan and Jose and his Galacticos drew. But for most of the big chaps as we head into the Internationals...or qualifiers from Europe its been a positive start.
As for the lads of the KOP...What do you think of the tattooed Portuguese midfielder and replacement for Macherano...Raul Meireles. From what Ive seen.he is descent and combative and he likes to score goals.I say its a Good signing

WHOS UR NANI

Its always good when the MANCS throw points away. A furious Sir Alex Ferguson was bemused at why Ryan Giggs didnt take the penalty and Nani did and also why the MANCS threw away three points. He also said that Fullham deserved something from the game.In a weekend of half a dozens the MANCS took the lead through Paul Scholes. What are your thoughts on Paul Scholes.Im sure Paul Scholes would have made a huge difference for England.Simone Davies equalised only for the MANCS to go up through an own goal/Then Nani missed a penalty to go three up and moments later Fullham scored a clumsy goal. But Fullham are Man Uniteds Dadas...always causing them problems.Bobby Zamora also gave them trouble. But Ferguson was correct. Its 2 points thrown away. And what goes around comes around.Mancs conceded at the death
On Sunday Villa spoilt my fantasy league momentum by catching half a dozen. At Saint James Park.An emphatic result. Who would have thought.Plus against Aston Villa.Another hatrick hero. The Darren Peacock looking Carrol

On Saturday though Chelsea and Diddier Drogba were merciless as they crushed Blackpool for their second successive 6-0 drubbing.Anelka,Malouda and Drogba.Emphatic.
Now thats what you do...Punish teams and Diddier Drogbas reputation as the complete out and out striker is being enhanced by the day.Killa I never even new Ballack was gone back to Leverkusen.

Arsenal were also rampant as Theo Walcott surprised everybody by belting a Hat trick as Arsenal crushed hapless Blackpool 6-0. A crushing victory that was much needed by Arsenal as William Gallas pulled a Sol Campbell and went to Spurs.Greedy for Champions League perhaps.

As for Liverpool we wait for tomorrow against a cruncher against Man City

WILL PDV GO OR STAY

EPL KICKS OFF

We were sitting at Banjos shop the other day and discussing Goalkeepers. With the shop obviously being a Liverpool stronghold it was evident that Pepe Reina's name came up. Reina was class, a great shot stopper and fresh off winning the world cup with the Spanish team. Liverpool vs Arsenal on opening day and after Ngog gave Liverpool the lead through a cracking goal,Liverpool were reduced to ten men after Joe Cole was sent off on debut.
Liverpool were playing well considering. There seemed to be something different about them,New Kit,New sponsor,Malaysian investors ,Ben Ayoun gone. They were totally Shariah compliant.

Arsenal had their moments and were looking for an equaliser,Stevie G Fantastic as usual and with 3 points almost signed and sealed Reina pulls a Rob Greene and fumbles the ball into the net to hand Arsenal the equaliser.Well thats the story of our lives. It would have been great to start the season off with a win against the Gunners, but with ten men we will settle for this.
I was on BB Messenger with Faaiz Oz and the Arsenal man was disgruntled all the time, criticising Wengers lack of purchase,Arsenals defence and Aluminia.I must admit Aluminia was poor although he did pull out a cracking save from a Gerard free kick. After the game Wenger denied any reports of signing a new goalkeeper.

Chelsea and Drogba on the other hand were emphatic as they thumped WBA 6-0.Drogba and Malouda were sensational.Chelsea showed no mercy and my money is on them to wrap up a successive championship. They were ruthless and thats what you have to do with the minnows.Punish them.

There were some upsets along the way with Everton going down to Blackburn Rovers and Wigan shocked by Blackpool. Man City and their billions looked like they were paupers as they drew with Spurs. And for Villa fans, their was new talent and three points without Martin O Neil.
As we head into teh second week of Ramadaan Im glad the football is back

COMMUNITY SHIELD

OK its the Charity Shield ofcourse. And we have had this debate time and time again about its importance. But its always a good pshycological edge to get your first piece of Silverware at the hallowed grounds of Wembley. Its also a platform to showcase the new signings, test out systems and get let the young players feel the atmosphere and adjust their temprement. And for some though even the game is not important its about pride. Man Utd and Chelsea squared off yet again and the MANCS deservedly beat the blues 3-1. Alot has been said about this new lity from Mexico.During the world Cup the MANCS constantly gloated about his pace and what a great aquisition he is.Perhaps they are right. He was impressive and linked up well with the lazy Berbatov.
