What a marvelous night. The return of Luca Toni. The only nervous part about the game was the spell after the second half. But what defending. The chaps were putting their bodies on the line and what a performance from Gatusso. The man was battling in the center of the park. He duely won himself the Budweiser man of the Match Award and deservedly so. Buffon was exellent in the sticks and Zambrotta and Cannavaro were in a different class. Sublime defending. Buffons save and Zambrottas off the line clearance paved the way for the Azzuro to come through calmly in the end. I wanted to see Del and Inzaghi brought on. Not much too say here but we have to look forward now to the sternest test of all. That against the Germans in Dortmund. The team spirit in the Italian Camp is strong. Cannavaro and Zambrotta held aloft a flag that said "GET WELL PESSOTO".
