What is The Viewpoint on the Pakistan Cricket ScenarioLots happening this week and believe it or not I was sitting at the zoo lake on saturday afternoon @ Moyo when I met another blast from the past. Mohamed Motala , Timber City. Im just mentioning it beacuse this man is dik with the Pakis. He was confident that they will sweep the 4th test.Then this morning Joffes Maboi says that the English won the test because of ball tampering and the Pakis refusal to take the wicket. I mean what the F$%(.
I need to be more clued up on this ball tampering scenario. This Darell Hair blames Murali for Chucking. Resorts the man to tears and never to play in Austrailia again. Let us not forget the time he blatantly HUNG South Africa Down Under. I mean is this guy a MUGG or what.
This is bizzare. Is it the unpredictable Pakis.
One can remember the Inzamam run out last year. Inzi didnt attempt a run and was given out by Hair.

Inzamam also told private GEO television that the International Cricket Council (ICC) should not let Australian umpire Darrell Hair take charge of any more matches involving Pakistan.
"The pride of the nation has been hurt, we have been unfairly labelled as cheats," Inzamam told GEO, explaining for the first time why he led the dressing room protest on Sunday.

I loveed Hair when he cheated SA but not anymore. Dicky Bird was on Sky yesterday saying that there could have been many reasons why the ball had been altered besides tampering. I think Hair took it upon himself to decide that the ball had been tampered with. I stand with the Pakis on this one and that Miandad fellow better shut his mouth up as well saying that he would have handled the whole thing differently. He would have played the game under protest. who really cares whether you play the game under protest or not, he would still have been playing. Pakistan Zindabad

ReplyDeleteReality is, Hair has a history of controversial (and bias) behaviour against asian sides (especially pakistan).... no-balled both Akhtar and Murali after both were officially cleared, and recently gave out Inzi run-out when taking evasive action.... also refused to let kaniera bowl (took him out of the attack) for running on the pitch without first giving him a formal warning..... the list goes on....
I thnik the boys were right to protest..... infact they should refuse to play in any furture games if Hair is involved.....
he has basically said that all pakistanis are guilty of ball tampering unless proven otherwise....
The incorrect decisions which all went against Pakistan by hair were expected but umpire Darrell Hair going to the extent that he did is really against the spirit of the game of cricket.
You cannot just blame a team for cheating like that, when you are not sure who did it and when did it happen. There is no evidence on camera that someone tampered with the ball during the game. If something had happened, it happened when the ball was with the umpires.... I wouldn't be surprised if Hair scuffed the ball himself just to make the pakis look bad.... maybe the sky cameras should check for that....
There is now talk of Inzi getting a lengthy ban for bringing the game into disrepute..blah balh blah...

One must not forget that HAIR officiated an entire series against Pakistan.
Lets also not forget that alot of CHUCKERS originate from the subcontinent.

in the past they used to fu*k with the ball but that was in the 70's and 80's but now its very hard . there are so many cameras and the umpires check the ball at every wicket and drinks break etc. its hard not to get spotted.

ReplyDeleteThe Asian nations are DADA's of the ICC. The 5 major ICC sponsors have only signed on because of the impact their brands will have on the Asian billions for being associated with cricket.
They should use their power and tell the ICC and Hair where to get off. There is no way the sponsors will continue backing the ICC if the Asians dont support them. Then i'd like to see what the Aussies and the rest of the world has to say.
All they'll have is the Ashes every 2 years and shagging sheep in between.
