ReplyDeleteI think ball tampering should be considered an art form... lets face it, nowadays bats have mega / super / sweetspot.... lighter backlifts, bigger meats, etc etc etc.... the poor bowlers are still using the same piece of leather... it is no longer a fair contest between bat and ball... i think ball tampering ahould be allowed/ legalised (within reason).... it is enough that took away the bouncers (restricted them) to stop the windies (despite modern helmets etc)... i say bring back bouncers and legalise ball tampering !!!
Look what happened when poinitng used the fibre glass bat... NOTHING but a slap on the wrists !!
Even with a scuffed ball, all bowlers won't swing it... so lets allow ball tampering and make the contest between bat and ball more equal !!
