Nightingale Street Lenasia:-Lenasia was left in turmoil tonight after a horific storm caused mass havoc and chaos leaving tree's uprooted and telephone polls destroyed, disrupting power and leaving live wires dangling like a threatened snake, this left many residents in total darkness. As always swoosh0018 is on the streets bringing you the action as it happens risking our lives for you our readers. This footage was taken from our local extension, unfortunately there was so many tree's all over the place which were knocked over we couldnt bring you all the carnage but taraweeh prayers were effected because many musalee's were unable to make salaah on time. Women were outside their houses bazzling and discussing with neighbours what they going to do for sehri! On a serious note there was lots of damage and we have never seen anything like it in lenz, lets hope the council doesnt take years to sort out the power issues as families are fasting and we pray for everyone effected by this devastation and hope everything comes back to normal asap
I am living in Lenz for all my life and this storm was one of the worst Ive seen. Raging winds that freakin uprooted Massive trees. Since the storm wreaked havoc in our area and Thanks to the Nokia N73 from Vodacom 4 U Cresta, we were able to risk life and limb, thread over live wires and brave the rain to show you the destruction.
Look the videos were shot in darkness but we tried to bring you the feeling on the streets.
We tried to find our local Electricians SHOK-ET and ASHOK but thy were no where to be found. I guess Ismael Manack will be a busy man in Lenz. Ismael while you at it Dont forget Uncle Samad's stoves.
