The English keep turning this world cup upside down. What a performance from the day they got hammered by the boks to the final! France must shoot themselves. They played into England’s hands. Kicked way too much possession away. Attempting drops from in there own half. Just bad decisions all round by the French. They needed to keep the ball more in hand. But credit to England they once again dominated the srums! And Wilko is the finest flyhalf I have ever seen. He has BMT in bucket loads! The guy is there talisman ! He is the difference in them from the day they played the boks to now. He did not play in that game. That ankle tap by Worsely kept them in the cup as well! I am happy for them, Ashton and the players were crucified by the press and they have made them eat humble pie!
FROM THE BOK END
The boks won but were not totally convincing. We got 2 intercept tries, and Habana is class. We were murdered in the scrums. We tend to switch off for periods in the game. We did so in the 1st part of the 2nd half. Percy was lethal, we have the best lineout and we got talent in the backs. The good thing is we have not played our best as yet and we still got to the final. The front row will need to step up or else sheridon, regan, vickery will destroy us. The argies made too many mistakes. I built that Hernandez up in the week but he had a shocker. Credit to them though they never gave up and the boks could only ease up in the last 5 minutes. They have showed that they are a top nation.
SO IT IS GOING TO BE ANOTHER ANGLO BOER WAR ON SATURDAY!

Again, not the prettiest rugby, but we're in the final and that's all that matters.

Wilko has added something to this England team. He has been instrumental in their resurgence and will be a threat on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteAs opposed to Os i think CJ will be key coz as a lot will depend on how he handles that animal Sheridan.
Our forwards don't need to dominate but rather be on par with the English and i think the class of our backs will come through.
What about Gunthrow Steenkamp?

WILKO has come up massive! he make england tick. no doubt with him they a totally different team. he has bmt and can handle pressure!
ReplyDeleteos and the entire front row have struggled in the cup. england have a destrustive front row, and the replacemnets like stevens and schuter are also very good. we are gong to have to be able to secure our own ball, and this is where danie rousouw will struggle at 8th men as he is not a regular 8th men and how illl he deal with a scrum going backwards. it will be tough!

ReplyDeleteguthro and os are both loose head props! os is the incumbent and white has stuck by him and it will be foolish to drop him for the final. i doubt whether guthro will be more succesful then os against Vickery!
