I was freakin watching this game ,stressing as it headed into Injury time. The Scots were running for the Full 90 minutes. They had Hampden Park behind them and after equalising they were searching for the winner. And it almost came. Firstly Italy could not have started better. 1-0 up in 70 seconds. So Scotland were going to come out.The rain and cold Scotish whether just had some bad omens to it. The referee was appalling. He ruled out De Natale's legit strike and then allowed Scotlands equaliser which was offside. So the Scots cant complain about the stoppage time winner. Panucci in injury time sunk the Scots. It was tragic but as they say THATS FOOTBALL.
Cisse emailed me on Friday to say
"Italy play Scotland in a crucial Euro 2008 qualifier at Hampden Park on Saturday, 17 November with kick-off at 1700 GMT - for the record, Italy have won four of their 11 matches played on the 17th of a month in the last 30 years. "
.It had me a little worried. So the Omens aside We are off to Euro 2008. A great squad. Great Players. I think Italy can do the Double.I just wonder if theres room for the likes of Del Piero and Co. But I was f#$ken happy when the Tailor Panucci buried the Scots. Good to see we gave the French a lifeline too. I mean we ants the French there.

WEL HAVE SOME LINDTS NEXT YEAR
THREE LIONS ON A SHIRT.
Azee and Co were boysterous and sending their sms's. But I was delighted. We need England at the Euro. We need them. Now their fate is in their hands. Just a draw against the Croats at home. But Poor Gus Hiddink.Had it all in his hands. And then the LAAKRIE (Stick) hit him and it hit him hard. For all the Pain that he caused Italy and Spain and the likes in 2002 he now knows how it feels. But The Flutes and the Chariots will be bellowing in the wind and in Austria & Switzerland. ITS ALL IN ENGLANDS HANDS THANKS TO THE 92 MINUTE WINNER IN TEL A VIV. Hows that for Luck
Elsewhere in Europe A good win for the Spaniards against Sweden and the Climax awaits now on Wednesday Night.Only England and England can Fuck it UP
with Englands blady luck, dont write them off! they might just go on and win the european championship!

ReplyDeleteengland have it in there own hands! boy did we need the help from israel! i think we will get the result against the croats.
ReplyDeleteitaly werte stealling again. let be honest it was no free kick. the scots were class in the 2nd half.
on pereira, i heard his press conference and he said he is not too concerned about results but wants to establish a playing style etc. shit talk if u ask me. he had a good 1st few months but after the disasater against zambia at newlands its been downhill. the guy is no monkey he has done it all in the world of soccer but the players at his disposal are not up to it. i think Guus or lippi would have also struggled. the japanese, korea etc have a work ethic. they want to perform our okes lack that hunger.
