WEEKLY SOCCER ROUND UP-A TUSCAN DAY OF SPLENDOUR

It turned out to be a Tuscan weekend to savour to be honest. An exquisite Tuscan Meal on Friday evening capped of with A Spectacular Tuscan wedding on Sunday of which I was a proud guest. Spectacular scenery, classy decor and a menu to savour. Now unlike other functions that I have attended in the past where a host of footballers were present I ,Alex Del Piero and Rio Ferdinand found ourselves surrounded by some greats. It was a mixture of footballers and perhaps some of the greatest Maalers (Thunnie Players from the Wits Era's). I was not surprised that one of the Tuscan Tables would be the arena for a maaling session of the greats. Leading the pack was The Pele of Thunnie RID-ONE Token. Also present was the Official Reigning Champ, Gknots. I can damwell guarantee you that when I saw a big table in the centre I thought that would be transformed into an arena later for these greats. I suppose they didn't want to overshadow the bride and groom on this prestigious occasion. But it was an awesome function to say the least. And I thank the hosts for their warm hospitality

The only negative aspect of the weekend was the MANCS 2-0 victory over reading

THEATER OF DREAMS
Normally Reading pull that odd surprise result, The way my weekend was going I thought this is it. 0-0. My father who is a MANC kept on saying this is UTD, Wait and alas luck again was on their side. Luck enhancing the fact that they ran out 2-0 winners. I met a MANC Fan that spoke off the record yesterday ,I wont mention his name but he came into a LIVERPOOL stronghold and insisted that the CHAMPS LEAGUE Final against milan was thrown. He said Berlusconi was sitting fat with odds on that game at a staggering 200/1. We told him we wont mention your name on the blog due to safety reasons. But you bloody MANCS , 3 points is 3 points.

CHEL$KI
Loks, 3 points in the bag minus the African stars. At this stage with the MANCS superb run of form 3 points is all that matters. I forsee a top three four finish for Chelsea. Unlike Liverpool they continue to let their tally rise

ALWAYS A GUNNER
Thourough and resolute once again. The Gunners cam and conquered. Without Toure and Eboue, The Togo man Adebajour continued his impressive form. I chatted to Jives and Faaiz Oz. I said to them that If I could ever jump into a TV and pick someone up it would be Eboue the performer. But the MANCS and Arsenal continue to go toe to toe.

FROM THE KOP END
I will wait for Ejaz tomorrow in the Super Tuesdays. I always dont talk before a game. But with our current run off form Villa will be tough

Elsewhere, a good return for Kevan keegan whom i believe is tabling a record bid for Michael Carrick. Once again Benjani scored thrice for Pompey. But the top 2 remain a cut above the rest.

SPANISH LA LIGA

Henry rescues Barcelona, And Madrid win again thanks to Van The Man. Villareal slip into third. I know there was talks about Drogba going to Barcelona and Decos future in doubt.Talks are that Keegan is also tabling a Bid for Deco

SERIE A
Juve slip up yet again, The Refs favour Inter and now Inter look well on their way to yet another scudetti. Milan salvage victory from the jaws of death in stopage time through Gillardinho...and they finally move into the top half of the table

FORZA JUVE
We falter once again, The Tinkerman is tinkering. A 0-0 draw with Sampodoria and Juve just deemed to have come back a little rusty after the Winter break. The only positive news is that Del Piero's door for the Azurri has been reopened due to his revival of form

MUGGS OF THE WEEK
The Americans that have bought Liverpool are without a doubt the MUGGS OF THE WEEK. Now I know the Mancs will be sharpening their swords and laughing at us and saying that we first blame Rafa, then Risse, then Kuyt. But if theres problems at home how can you function, When you know your bosses are up your aR#e. I mean these owes have no clue what they doing. Are they watching the game at all or are they watching NFL on ESPN.

LOOK Im not looking for people to blame but these Americans are breaking a happy home.

I was at Cisse last week, He said Did you hear Anfield was like Vietnam. There were anti American Slogans everywhere and they were chanting for BENITES. These Muggs are responsible for our slide in form. It makes sense. If you buckled and your Inlaws interfere in your marriage, wont your performance dwain. Thats what Im saying, Its not their place, they must just provide and not worry about strategies and tactics. In the voice of the cruel lady from the weakest Link.YOU ARE THE MUGGS OF THE WEEK ,GOODBYE

  3. i think that the yankees might be causing in house issues at liverpool, but cmon, each player is a professional & so is benitez.

the yanks are not buying the players, the yanks are not playing on the field & hell, the yanks are not picking the side week in & out, oh & the yanks are definately not choosing who to rotate.

lets not blame the owners for liverpool not doing well.

benitez has bought +-16 players this season, & how can you expect him to do well in the first season with these new boys.it's going to take time.

typical example, DAVID MOYES at everton, he's taken the tofees to 4th in the premiership with a budget that the likes of UNITED, CHELSEA ,ARSENAL & LIVERPOOL HAVE100 TIMES OVER.

the way he has done it, is by having full backing of the board, players & supporters.

it has taken MOYES +- 4-5 years to do this.

i understand that the big boys want trophies, but new sides have to be built.

now stop whining & moaning !!!!

    "go" BUY DAVID MOYES

  4. cant agree more mr go. the truth is the scousers are a 2nd tier side. They not in the class of the big three and they have to accept that. The have to build like the Villas Evertons Man city etc.

The yanks want to see a return on there investment, and bEnitez is not delivering, thats why he must go.

  6. Go & Azee, why are you guys even bothered with whats happening at the fools? Who cares?

We should be watching Chelski. Only 4 points behind they still a threat. Without Essien, Mikel and Drogba they still on form. Quietly going about their job of winning matches.

Arsenal are looking good as well, and United are playing well. From February we need to up the tempo a bit as Arsenal look like lasting the pace and Chelsea are getting results just like the old Mourinho days.

Milan are back to winning ways as well. All in all a good weekend. If Bafana win their opening game that will top it off.

  8. After watching the Villa game it was evident that the owners interaction with the media is affecting the teams performance on the pitch..

I take back my comments about Rafa,Riise and Kuyt and come to a conclusion that the OWNERS must sell their shares or just leave Rafa and the technical aspect of the club alone..

They should focus on building a state of the art staudium and leave whateva happens inside the stadium pitch to the coaching staff

  9. i f you looking for die hard liverpool fans then kopout should not be there.. he hides when the team is in kak. He was non existent last week.

mate as a mufc fan i look on the current turmoil with extreme pleasure. The longer the ediotic fans dont realise the problem is with rafa and not the owners the longer the team will struggle.
