SUPER TUESDAYS-JIHAD ABUS VS ALIS

MIDWEEK SOCCER ROUND UP

In the Premier League Chelsea and Tottenham drew 4-4, In what was a cracker of a game. The sad thing is that Chelsea could not gain gain ground and the F#$ken MANCS are three clear. You just cant rely on these other teams. The Mancs Ronaldo was on target again as they overcame Bolton. 44 points I think for the lity in the fanatsy league.

In Serie A, Roma blew their chances to go 3 points behind when they lost to Lazio in the Roman Derby. Lazio stealed a 3-2 victory in stoppage time. Juve drew and threw away 2 valuable points, But alls good since Fiorentina and Milan both lost.Shakes Milan lost again

Its time for the War, This Sunday when the Ijtima shuts down the 2nd biggest battle of the year unfolds. This Super Tuesday Post will be the last post until the Easter Weekend.

The next post Will be a Super Tuesday again and this is where the Losers will be hung to dry. So Im diving in to the Super Tuesday

For The Jihad, The Ban is lifted, Anyone can comment. Its a f#4ken war.By next week coment settings will be changed again

Please again , No racist comments, religeous comments or personal attacks will be allowed. Any Comment deemed unfit will be removed..................

The Jihad Abus vs Alis By Swoosh

The Messiah has spoken. The prediction from the Anfield Messiah Rashid Cassim has come in. In his words , he predicts a "A HEALTHY 2-0 VICTORY TO LIVERPOOL, HE SAYS ITS ALONG TIME COMING AND IS DUE"

For our new readers, Abu=Anyone but United and Ali=Anti Liverpool. Now we know that there is no love lost here. Lets be honest MANCS you hate us and we hate you. Come this Sunday its all about Izzet (pride). Since I have started this blog I have never had teh priviledge of celebrating a Kop Victory. Alas This Sunday I feel that we have teh form and the edge to stick it to the MANCS.We have been consistent, in great form and on the Up. We also have Stevie G and Tores in Good nick. If I look at the past Abus vs Alis Jihads, the blog rocked.

This is the Big one, Real Madrid vs Barca, River vs Boca, Iran vs Iraq, Milan vs Inter,Chiefs vs Pirates, IWC (Indians of West Campus) vs the Medics in Wits Ball, Picadally's vs Mamadallys. In all these encounters its not about winning but the joy of winning, The joy of walking around for weeks and F#4ken sticking the MANCS, looking at them with that sad face. Thats a Derby, Knowing that you are 1 up on an opponent and they cant do F#4kall about it.

Let me reflect on my Past and discuss a few tales of this rivalry

How can we forget the man that fought in Akals once over a Liverpool and Utd game, The man that broke an oil sump over a Liverpool and Utd Game, The man that threw his TV out when Liverpool lost the league, The man that refuses to let anyone into his house because they are wearing an oppositions kit, Yes these stories are true and Come Sunday, The Izzet looms large.

BUT I CALL ON ALL MEMEBERS OF THE KOP, "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!

I am General "Swoosh" Liverpoolius, General of the Anfield Legions, Commander of the armies of the blog and I urge you men. ENGAGE IN THIS BANTER AGAINST THE MANCS, STAND TOGETHER AND COME SUNDAY WE WILL WIN PUR FREEDOM and PROTECT OUR IZZET

vs

From the Kop End- Liverpool “Op die Kop” at Old Trafford
By Ejaz Khan

Well, it is upon us once again, the clash of the Titans. Nope, Not Gulam Bodi and his pals, its Manchester United versus Liverpool. It doesn’t get much bigger than this. At this late stage of the season, the stakes are incredibly high for all and sundry. United have just pipped Arsenal for the top spot and the balance of power has shifted temporarily, though with Arsenal and Chelsea playing on the same day, it could in fact be the matchday that it will determine the eventual league winners.

Fernando Torres vs Cristiano Ronaldo

The Goal Machines

Torres and Ronaldo are, without doubt, the two deadliest players of the match up, but expect both defenses to focus their efforts on containing them.Torres with 20 leagues now(27 in all competitions), is speedily catching up with Penaltinho, and it will be interesting to see who is the hero on the day. The matchup is at Silent Trafford, so Carragher and co better watch themselves in the box. It seems any contact in the box at the most visited cemetery in England means a compulsory penalty for the home team. All dives aside, Cristiano Ronaldo has redefined the term Winger. He is a class act

Gerrard vs Anderson

The Engines
The engine rooms of both teams, these players are crucial to both teams in the creativity department and will be instrumental in any endeavour to create chances.Steven Gerrard has struck up a wonderful understanding with Torres and it is his vision to piing 40 yard though balls with amazing accuracy that could prove to be the x factor in Sundays’s humdinger

Mascherano-Alonso-Leiva vs Carrick-Scholes-Hargreaves

The Holding Pack
Benitez gets a lot of stick for Rotation but Fergie does it just as much, but somehow always escapes any criticism for it. A good example is the holding midfielder, a constant change for both sides, and undoubtedly, the players who escape the accolades and praise because their work usually encompasses what is known as “the dirty work”. Ultimately, United versus Liverpool has evolved into a rather cagey encounter, which means these guys are doing their job properly. Who will slip up on Sunday ?

Kuyt vs Rooney

“The Hard working,hardly scoring strikers”

Both Kuyt and Rooney are defined as strikers, but honestly, they hardly do any scoring. Most of the time, they run around, look busy, attempt to fool the manager into thinking they are integral parts of the team. But in all honesty, they are both crap. More so Dirk Kuyt, who looks to be getting worse with each passing game. Watch them both play 80+ minutes of poor frustration for both sets of fans.

Carragher and Skrtel vs Vidic and Ferdinand

The Last Line of defence

Ferdinand has a ahbit of scoring against Liverpool, but for some reason, I doubt that will be the case this time around. For one, he will be busy trying to keep up on the other end with the threat of Torres. Vidic and Skrtel and Vidic are in a similar mould, and no doubt comparisons are going to be made regarding the two strong defenders. Who will crack under the pressure ?

Rafa vs Fergie

Brains of the operation
Fergie has got the measure of Rafa for some time now, so Rafa has got a point to prove to Liverpool fans and himself. It is a good time to play United, as most of the Liverpool starting eleven playing at a good level, and United really struggled against Derby on the weekend. No doubt the positive aspects of Rafa’s rotation bearing fruit, Liverpool are habitually strong season finishers. It will be really interesting, and expect more than a few cards from the referee for this one. Liverpool are up for the tie and fans will be hoping for a win at Old Trafford to make up for the loss earlier in the season. It’s gonna be a cracker.

THEATER OF DREAMS
BY LAAL CHAVEL (RED RICE)

INSIDE THE THEATRE – Roma Again
Manu fans must be freakin sick at the sight of Roma. We have nothing left to prove against these Italian thugs. The fans took a beating last season from the sick Italian police when Roma’s “ultras” clearly instigated crowd trouble. Roma were found guilty by UEFA for imposing unnecessary force & subsequently fined. Do United fans really need to go through that again? Totti came out & apologized to United fans this season inviting them back to Rome when we were drawn in the group stages. As far as the game goes the 2 sides obviously know each other very well. But encouraging for United is that we went to Rome this season with virtually a second team & still pulled out a draw. Fabio Cappello has come out hinting he fancies the Italians to progress whilst SAF has expressed his concerns about the traveling fans. Totti stated they are better prepared for United & they wont only focus on RON THE DON. The 1st leg is away in Rome, may the best team win.

Prospects
Manucho made a scoring debut for his loan club Panathinaikos as they beat Larissa 2-0 this past week.
Quieroz has hailed his abilities saying he has a brilliant chance at United most likely next season.
Giggs & Saha are both making comebacks from injuries so is Gary Neville who is clocking quite a few appearances for the reserves. With his last appearance against Sunderland he intends to be involved in first team football.. Strength in depth can only help us as we head into the final stretch…

Gerrard Pique has hinted he wants regular first team football. The heart of Uniteds defence being Vidic & Ferdinand seem unbreakable but Fergie has told Pique to hang in there as he might be slotted in at right back cos of uncertainties regarding Browns future. Atletico Madrid have reportedly put in a £5million bid for the highly rated Spaniard. Another defender on the cards is Porto’s Jose Bosingwa, the 25 year old is rumoured to have attracted interest from United.

Cardiff City’s highly rated 17 year old Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey has caught the eye of many a Premier League club. SAF has also made an inquest about the talented Welshman who has impressed in Cardiff’s FA Cup run. Finally Queiroz has denied rumours linking him to Benfica saying there are many more challenges left at United.

Games
Last Game v Derby
Looked like it was goin to be another Portsmouth. Roon & Ron huffed & puffed for most of the game until the deadlock was finally broken with Ron The DON netting his 31st goal of the season (22 Premiership goals) the leading scorer & already a record for an outfield player. Derby attacked impressively at times as Ben Foster pulled out 2 brilliant saves on his debut. Early days but SAF has hailed him as “England’s keeper for the next 10years”. He took his chance brilliantly & that leaves SAF now with a welcomed headache, I say play him against Bolton. Yet again the gooners (goners) dropped another 2 points & have left themselves a mountain to climb. We can pull 3 points clear if things go our way at the Reebok. Watch SAF’s reaction here: http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid958992159?bctid=1457684942

Next Game vs. Bolton (Kickoff Wed 19 Mar 17:00 SS3)
& vs. Liverpool ((Kickoff Sun 23 Mar 16:00 SS3)

Every result now will be crucial in wining the title, its in United hands. Both these fixtures are at home so we have to capitalize. The fools will be playing the Goons 3 times in the next couple of weeks, will they loose focus? On the same token what do the Goons focus on? Cos they have a titanic battle with Chelsea next week. The team with the most mental strength will come out tops, that strength comes from experience & United have been down this road season after season in their record haul of 9 Premier League titles. Unfortunately the build up on the Blog might not be as entertaining as before. Some writers here cant take criticism. I say lift the ban SWOOSH, its what makes this blog so entertaining, when Chavil volunteered as a writer you said “get ready to face the slaughter”. Let the pundits face reality for suspect articles. Sure go ahead & delete the dirty comments, but the characters who throw in there 5 cents week after week is what makes this blog roll. Here here!!!

SUPER 14 UPDATE
BY ZK

I so should have written this round up on Sunday instead of last minute Monday afternoon – but damn I so cannot get use to this Bloody F&^king cold (excuse the vulgarity of this round up!!!)…Mini and Killa you can stop laughing at the lack of my voice this weekend :P

Yes, I have been rendered a bit voiceless and no I was not screaming at the damn Sharks (how I wish that was the reason).

The Stormers are finally making me proud to be a South African. Second week away from home and second win in the bag. Tough defence and a never say die attitude made them my team of the weekend. I caught the match at work so you must know even the die hard Lions and Bulls supporters were cheering the Stormers along. Lucky their backline held firm and defence proved too strong for the Chiefs.
Final Result: Chiefs 26 – 35 Stormers

O before I say anything else – the Blues LOST wooohooo and nogal by the Western Forces :) (o i learnt and Afrikaans word yay) See that happy gleam all over my face :) well it's a suggestion that SA teams can go to the Blues home ground and win and DAMN we should. Okay sure they just returned from touring SA and I mean that can play a big role in fatigue and so on but crap they lost (wooohooo) which puts the Sharks ahead by 2 matches on them and we could (hopefully depending on away games) have a home semi :P
Final Result: Blues 17 – 27 Force

The Crusaders massacred the poor Cheetahs *sigh*
On home grounds they seem unbeatable L
Final Result: Crusaders 55 – 7 Cheetahs

SO the biggest shock of the weekend has to be undeniably the lost by the Bulls to the Reds. Stormers beat the Reds resoundingly on their own turf last week but no the Bulls definitely could not do the same. Damn pricks threw it away when they could have taken full advantage and secured the win. Reds had passion and spirit were the Bulls lacked it completely – makes you wonder if from being on top they now enjoying a new found love for the bottom of the log.
Final Result: Reds 40 – 8 Bulls

MMMMM highly desipointed in the Sharks this weekend but definitely big ups to the Lions who made them fight till the end for their win. Didn't catch the game (yes I know a shocker but had prior commitments), but I heard that it was as bloody as any SA derby goes.
Dick Muir is in trouble and may face disciplinary measures due to a little bloody time keeping incident – pun definitely intended :)
Final Results: Lions 8 – 16 Sharks

Other Results:
Brumbies 15 – 33 Hurricanes

Living La Liga soca
Huge task mounting for Barca
By Irfaan Adam

Henry already missing England?

With 10 games left to the conclusion of La Liga, Barcelona must produce one of the biggest comebacks (7 points to be exact) in history if they are to snatch the title away from arch foe's Real Madrid.

There seems to be a storm emanating at the Nou Camp, with daily reports "hinting" Thierry Henry's alleged unhappiness. After last week's loss to Villarreal, which opened Madrid's gap to 8 points, Henry's former Arsenal team mate Robert Pires, now with Villarreal, was quoted as saying he would be lying if Henry was satisfied at Barca.

Henry still insists he is happy, but honestly, which striker would be happy to be playing on the left wing to accommodate another striker???

There seems to be 2 Barca's at the moment, a unit in the Champions League, and a lackluster team in La Liga. I’m sure football fans would kill to have them playing the fluent football that won them the 2006 champions league.

With talisman Lionel Messi out injured and Ronaldinho looking out of sorts, will youngsters Bojan and Giovanni dos Santos be able to fulfill their potential and bring the title back to Cataluña?

Back to the pitch now, Real Madrid travelled to the Riazor to face a struggling Deportivo La Coruna, the Riazor curse once again haunted Madrid as the champions recent inconsistent form continued when they suffered a 1-0 loss. Brazilian defender Pepe had the misfortune of scoring an own goal after 58 minutes. The win move Depor to the relative safety of mid-table. Madrid have now been condemned to 4 losses in their last 6 games and have not won at the Riazor since the 1999/2000 season.

Pepe scores another own goal

Pressure continues to mount on Valencia coach Ronald Koeman after Los Che went down 2-1 to Sevilla at the Mestella. Red hot Brazillian striker Luis Fabiano notched up a quick brace (12 and 22 mins) to take his tally to 22 goals in 21 games. Raul Albiol pulled one back for the hosts but it was too little to late. The win takes Sevilla up to fifth place and slogging it out with Atletico Madrid for the final Champions League spot, while Valencia slip into the bottom half of the table after going 5 games without a win.

Barcelona's stuttering form continued as they could only draw against Almeria after a late equaliser at the Estadio del Mediterraneo. Barca youngster Bojan Krkic broke the deadlock after 17 minutes; however Ruben Pulido leveled matters on 33 minutes.

Samuel Eto'o struck in the 57th minute to put the visitors back in front,
However Argentina international Gabriel Milito was soon dismissed before Kalu Uche grabbed a late equalizer for the home team. Barca are now 7 points adrift of leaders Madrid and Villarreal breathing down their necks 2 ponits behind.

The Yellow Submarine’s hosted hosted a Real Zaragoza side just hovering outside the relegation zone. Tukish striker Nihat Kahveci got the ball rolling for Manuel Pellegrini's men, before former Manchester United forward Giuseppe Rossi sealed the points from the penalty spot.

Rossi on target for Villarreal

Elsewhere the game between Real Betis and Atletico Bilbao was postponed after 72 minutes after Bilbao keeper Armando was struck by a bottle thrown from the crowd.

  7. Punisher , I dont think it will be Tevez but rather VIDIC. Torres is on form & the last time he came up against the United defence he looked very timid. Vidic shoved him around abit at the Kop.

Both sides can score but the stronger defence will decide it.

  20. Riise on Rotation Policy...

And asked why Liverpool have suddenly hit a rich vein of winning form over recent weeks, Riise is in no doubts where the credit should be directed.

"It's down to the manager and his rotation," he said. "Because he changed the team around earlier in the season we're now seeing the rewards of that.

"When you have so many competitions to play in it's important to rotate and that's why the manager did it. He cares about the players.

"Now we don't have as many competitions to go for, that's why you're seeing virtually the same players and the same system from game to game."

  23. HER DIARY

Tonight I thought he was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a
bar to have a drink. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I
thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no
    comment.

Conversation wasn't flowing so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so
we could talk. He agreed but he kept quiet and absent. I asked him what
was wrong; he said nothing. I asked him if it was my fault that he was
upset. He said it had nothing to do with me and not to worry. On the way
home I told him that I loved him, he simply smiled and kept driving. I
can't explain his behaviour; I don't know why he didn't say I love you
too. When we got home I felt as if I had lost him, as if he wanted
nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there and watched TV.

He seemed distant and absent. Finally, I decided to go to bed. About 10
minutes later he came to bed, and to my surprise he responded to my
caress and we made love, but I still felt that he was distracted and his
thoughts were somewhere else. He fell asleep

I cried. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are
with someone else. My life is a disaster.
