I dont think so. but I certainly hope so..............
But lets get straight on into Super Tuesday
FROM THE KOP END
The Hillsborough disaster commemorated. One of those killed was Steven Gerrard’s cousin
The quiet before the storm- A minute silence respectably observed.
A brilliant 1-2 with Lucas before “shibob-ing Samba and its 1-0 to the Reds
A breeze from the coast of Mauritius once hit Ronaldo and he got a penalty, where’s the justice?
wish I was still “hanging” for the Reds
Veronica makes it 3-0 and gets injured because his muscle memory forgot how it feels to score
The Reds are motoring on now and with Everton dropping points against Birmingham, the Reds have all but secured that vital 4th position. It isn’t good enough, but it will suffice for now, with all the behind the scenes shenanigans at Anfield, its amazing the team hasn’t complete capitulated already. But hopefully, and finally Rick Parry will be kicked out, and someone who actually knows what he is doing will come in. Back to the field of play and Rafa’s Men have done the job against Blackburn, and Fulham away on Saturday will be tough, as the cottagers are stuck in the constant swirl of the relegation battle. For now, Liverpool fans are content, seeing Torres scoring at will now and reaching 30 in what has been a phenomenal debut, and Gerrard scoring his 21st goal of the season(yes, that’s right).Rafa’s “new” formation with Gerrard just behind Torres guarded by two holding midfielders, seems to be the right formula, we just need some more ingredients on the wings, and we’ll be hay O.K
THEATER OF DREAMS
INSIDE THE THEATRE – Nou Camp Recall
The scene of SAFs greatest triumph with Manchester United will host the first leg of the semi final clash with Barcelona. The home team look to be in disarray this season in La Liga. Some way off the pace in their title race & internal problems with players in the partying habit one of them being Ronaldinho, who has now reportedly agreed terms with AC Milan for a move next season. Messi, Deco & Marquez have also had there problems with injuries this term but in a shocking article recently released some of these players are not really injured, this excuse is only being used because the club has fallen out of favour with them as revealed by club director Xavier Martine. Henry has not looked like he has enjoyed his time with the Catalans being played out of position & has had a lot of personal problems since moving to Spain whilst injury prone Messi is being rushed back to face United. What a tragedy for what looked to be the new “Galactico’s”, the type of football they were playing with Ronny at his best was just electrifying. In spite of this they are still in the champs league semi final & Rikaards men will be a totally different proposition. If anyone can knock us out these chaps stand a chance. We have had a lot of great games with these guys, the last time we met in the champs league with Beckham at his best we pulled off a 3-3 draw . The last time we met in a Cup Final back in 91’ we lifted the Uefa Cup Winners Cup – memories of Mark Hughes. Not forgetting memories of Stoichkov & Romario when the Catalans whipped us in the mid 90’s. We should be at full strength for this game & irrespective of the first result we need an away goal.
PROSPECTS
SAF has revealed he will be making a couple of new signings next season as himself & Ron picked the Barclays Manager & Player of the month for March respectively.
Ron the DON will become the highest paid player in world football as United look set to increase his pay packet to 150K a week in a new deal worth 40Mil. If SAF lets The Don captain the team he’ll stay for life & Madrid can keep dreaming…
GAMES
Last Game vs. Roma (1-0 & 3-0aggr)
One man deserves special mention, RYAN GIGGS – the oke was superb he cut up Roma like a chef preparing a salad. His through balls & vision slicing the Roma defense was deserved of the standing Ovation he got when he came off as a late 2nd half sub. Cantona in the crowd they still sing his name unbelievable.
Last Game vs. Gooners
The mark of Champions is the ability to show their metal when the chips are down, & that’s exactly what we did cos Arsenal dominated for large periods of the first half. They played well but we soaked up all they had. Rooney just needs a bit of luck lately he missed 2 sitters in the first half & Van Der Sar kept us in the game with some crucial saves.. The Gooners first goal looked clearly a hand ball but we battled on & always looked like we could get in behind them. Yet again their fair play was questionable as they picked up 7 yellow cards & will face an FA fine. My player of the season so far has to be ANDERSON this lity still a teenager came on as a sub & just boss’d the game. His strength in one on one challenges & ball winning skills were just the highlight. Hargreaves as an attacking proposition has been a revelation playing wide right. Ron THE DON should get the golden boot this season notching his 38th. Just look at the expression on Wengers face – Pure Sikraat - after all the claims he made they’ll do the double. Watch SAFS reaction here: http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid958992159?bctid=1498975987

Next Game vs Blackburn (Sat Apr 19th kickoff 18:00 SS3)
Sparky’ men can be a tough hard tackling bunch, we play away at Ewood Park.
Chavilinho _

Okay okay remember back in the days when all Shark supporters use to get angry at their team for playing a 60 min match instead of an 80 min. You know the time when we use to loose the game just at the ends because "we got tired" or just lost focus. Well now Sharks seem to be turning the tide and playing a latter 60 min game which in my mind can be just as detrimental to their game then any other. They let the Highlander go ahead in about the first five mins and from there on it was just all catch up.
Thank their lucky stars that Ryan Kankowski breathed some life into their game just after half time. His interception gave the Sharks a crucial 19-17 win in Dunedin. With Pienaar and Steyn missing some penalties and conversions we in for a toughie coming closer to the end. But Damn did you guys see the kick Steyn got in from inside the Sharks territory. Deep in their own half he managed to make the hardest kicks look easy and the easy ones look hard. But superb kicking from a distance. Still only one bonus points in the Shark camp. (maybe time to re-look at strategy?)
Higlanders 17 – 19 Sharks
Lions lost to the Crusaders down in Christchurch. I guess it was expected (sorry Seth) but amazingly they did lead 6-3 before the Crusaders stamped their authority. The Lions played well at the breakdowns, but the Crusaders found their pace in the third quarter and dotted down four tries to give them a win and a bonus point.
Crusaders 31 – 6 Lions
Guess who may just be the South African team to pull of a surprise…Yes the Stormers have (so it seems) turned the tide. Playing back at home they beat the Cheetahs in an SA derby 34 – 22. Stormers were superior in every aspect of the game, and their attention to basics under former Cheetahs coach Rassie Erasmus, as well as the attention to planning and strategy, was evident in the way the Stormers cleverly placed the Cheetahs under pressure from the kick-off as they played the visitors into the corner.
Stormers 34 – 22 Cheetahs
Bulls supporters never let you forget that they are last years winners but no worries because this year they are pathetic useless pieces of crap. As Supersports have labelled them "Champs to Chump" they sure proving that token right. Not only did the Bulls concede 50 points at Loftus for the second time this season, not only did they suffer their seventh defeat in nine matches and slide to their fifth successive loss but they conceded the fastest bonus point of the season. Hurricanes had their bonus point in 21 minutes and 37 seconds. (There is nothing else to say!!!!)
O wait there is…according to most professional rugby players and institutes…the most dangerous player in the world is Bryan Habana. Habana did not once receive the ball on the end of a full line movement, was never given a clever kick to chase and not a single tactic had been worked out to bring him into play -- either at an oblique angle or as a decoy.
Need one say any more about what is wrong at Loftus?

Heartbreaker Toni
By Irfaan Adam
Im sure none of us follows the Uefa cup as much as the Champions League, but the game between Bayern and Getafe last week was just too good not to mention. After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, Getafe hosted the Germans knowing a major upset was on the cards.
The game couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start for the hosts as Ruben De La Red (Liverpool Target) got sent off after just 6 minutes. Cosmin Contra opened up the scoring just before halftime to give Getafe a 1-0 lead. The hosts thought they were through but in the 89th minute disaster struck as Frank “Bilal” Ribery slotted home the equalizer.
Extra time and 2 goals in as many minutes for Getafe and the home crowd were celebrating, BUT Luca Toni had other ideas. First in the 115th and then again in the 120th minute Toni struck to break the hearts of the Getafe faithful. A 4-4 aggregate score, with Bayern advancing on away goals.
Barcelona once again messed up, throwing away a 2 goal lead away at Recreativo. Eto’o gave them the lead after just 62 seconds. The hosts then equalized just before half time with a Marco Ruben header. Eto’o then hit a beauty, connecting a volley from distance to restore their 1 goal lead.
A shaky Victor Valdes then literally gave Recre the draw with a stupid mistake. But, it wasn’t all doom and gloom for Barca, Lio Messi made his long awaited return from injury.
Real Madrid moved nine points clear at the top of the table with a hard-fought victory over Murcia,.
Wesley Sneijder grabbed the only goal of the game at the Bernebeu, curling a sublime effort into the top corner on 58 minutes.
The hunt for the fourth Champions League spot is also still wide open.
Atletico Madrid missed the chance to cement their hold on fourth place after being held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by Valladolid. Maxi Rodriguez getting on the score sheet.
Sevilla currently sit on the fringes of the top four, but are now just three points adrift following a 3-2 win away at Real Mallorca. Dani Alves and Kanoute adding to their tally.
Real Santander are currently level on points with Atletico. They beat an out of sorts Valencia 2-1 at the Mestalla on Saturday.

Rumours
Ronaldinho is set for Seri A, after his Brother and agent Roberto de Assis said he had agreed initial terms of a contract with Milan. €20-30 Million is said to be the fee.
Espanyol Keeper Idris “Carlos” Kameni is ready to quit the club, with interest from Man United and Tottenham.
Sevilla says €25million would only be enough to buy Dani Alves boots. Reports said they had agreed that fee with Barca. Chelsea are also interested.
Abramovic also has his eyes on Sergio Aguero and David Villa, With Drogba off to Madrid.
And finally Barca are looking at Bringing Alex Hleb to the Nou Camp as well as re-signing Gerard Pique from United.
Who was the complete striker both past and present. In other words If you had to chose any striker today to play for your life and score for your life who would it be and Why?Why your suggestion, What did he possess that no other player had....What made him class. Now many names come to mind here. We were engaging in debate about whos great and whos not....or what constitutes being great. In light of the Ronaldo issue. I mean He is hot, There is alot of food places making great food, But Ackals is great, David Villa is class but Roberto Baggio was great. A great striker was complete, composed and a f#4ken finisher..Many names spring to mind,Eusebio, Puskas, Baggio, Van Basten, Romario,Ronaldo (fatty), Rush, Best....and many others. Now we talking strikers here, not attacking midfielders.
What do these players have in common, they won the Big ones, thats that, thats all it is.
For me Im going with Robbie Baggio, The lad was class, Skill and he could finish. He was a legend in Florence and from then on in , Baggio was class. But Marco van Basten was also complete, just a pity injury plagued him
AC MILAN, INTER MILAN BATTLE ON TRANSFER MARKET
ReplyDeleteAC Milan appear close to securing Barcelona's Ronaldinho despite the keen interest shown by Serie A champions Inter Milan for the Brazilian star.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reported Tuesday that Roberto De Assis, the footballer's brother and agent, attended a party at the residence of Milan president Silvio Berlusconi.
Berlusconi, the media magnate turned politician, late Monday celebrated his victory in Italy's general election, which granted him a third mandate as prime minister.
De Assis met Milan market managers last week, reportedly agreeing a transfer deal that could be completed this week when vice president Adriano Galliani meets Barcelona officials.
Milan are believed to have offered Barca a transfer fee of 20 million euros (31.6 million dollars), while Ronaldinho, 28, should join the Devils on a contract worth 8 million euros a year.
Inter president Massimo Moratti said earlier that his club's interest in the footballer "is not a trick on Milan. I hope they don't take it as a way to disturb them."
The two clubs appear to be also wrestling for other players as Milan made an offer for Robert Acquafresca, a promising 20-year-old striker playing with minnows Cagliari, but jointly owned by Inter.
A reversed situation exists regarding Genoa's Marco Borriello, the 19-goal league top striker.
Inter officials met their Genoa counterparts last week to discuss the purchase of French midfielder Abdoulay Konko, but also addressed the possible transfer of Borriello.
Milan transferred the 25-year-old to Genoa last summer, but retained joint ownership. Borriello, who was seldom fielded at Milan, is in pole position for a place in Italy's striking package at Euro 2008. Genoa value him at 10 million euros.
Ian Rush was a legent. One of the reasons why we ruled the 80's. The time of the Crown Paints kit.
ReplyDeleteWhy I rate him, is cos I say he was the best finisher the game had to offer and as Swoosh says, he won the big ones, big ears
Kooben
Man Utd cannot afford Ronaldinho
ReplyDeleteHey Azee
ReplyDeleteDo you remember Cyrill Mackenacky
Marty Mcfly
Back to the future
Marty was he not from Cameroon?
ReplyDeletezk, why is Waylon Murray being benched or being sent to the wing? the guy is class, should have been at the world cup ahead of Wynand Olivier. with fourie injured and his form in the 1st few weeks he would have beeen 1st choice at outside center for the boks. But muir in the last 2 games has given him a raw deal? is it yet again a case of racism, trying to hold the men of colour back? if they cant fit frans steyn in the system why must waylon make way?
Good question Azee
ReplyDeletehmmm maybe next time i see Muir i'll pose it to him.
Murray in my opinion is a good player and needs to get more game time. Sad that most of the players seem to fighting for the same spots but Muir needs to give the guy a chance. Think maybe he scared to mess around while away from home but hopefully Murray will be the surprise package that the Sharks desperately need.
Don't think its the colour issue just more of going with what works at present. (though i could be wrong)
Best Striker - VAn Basten was great but didnt win anything huge viz. the World Cup.. Baggio was class as well.. So was Dennis Bergkamp.. But everyone knows im gonna be bias in this one and i havent seen Gerd Muller play.. SO im gonna go with the most decorated striker in my generation.. JURGEN KLINSMANN.. His won it all at club and country level and could get a goal from any situation..
ReplyDeleteAs for Chelski - To concede on 93 minutes is a sin.. And as is a rule.. Unfortunalety all sins are punishable..
Swoosh - The striker question isnt apt..U have to specify a generation.. Its always gonna be PELE or MARADONA.. ROMARIO vs KLINSMANN vs BAGGIO vs BATISTUTA..
MULLER vs BEST.. etc etc
as an out an out marksmen it has to be gary linekar!
ReplyDeleteTop scorer in mexico 86 and got another 5 at italia 90. Never booked at international level. the guy was sheer class.
drogba
Azee
ReplyDeleteI agree with you there, why does Murray have to pay the price to accommodate Steyn? Murray is decent and just behind De Villiers and Fourie in the Bok pecking order.
Muir needs to have some balls and pick Steyn in 1 position. The oke needs to be a flyhalf, fullback or centre. If we keep shifting him how does it help his game develop. Great teams always won by picking specialists and developing them. Rem how the 99 All Blacks F**Ked up when they moved Wilson to wing and Cullen to centre. They did the same to Mulliaina and look what happened at the last WC.
ZK and Azee what's your view on Peter Grant. The oke has developed immensely under Rassie and looks like the only option at flyhalf. Steyn doesn't know what's his position and the rest are sh*t!
the truth is waylon murray and bobo in recent weeks have been the form number 13's. murray played last year in away leg of tri nations for the boks and now muir drops him and puts him on wing. its coz his of colour. why did he not drop bred barrit as steyn showed at WC that at number 12 he is class? its dumb founding! this why we needed coaches of colour so shit like this wont happen!
ReplyDeletegrant is decent, but he aint international quanlity!
Grant my not be international quality but who are we going to play?
ReplyDeleteOur other options play for the Bulls, Lions and Cheetah's so they not really options. The Sharks need to give Steyn the reigns at flyhalf or Pienaar and see what they can do? Having Michalak there doen't benefit SA rugby in any way!
Mini, what were you saying about Leeds making it back in a season!
ReplyDeleteHuddersfield 1 Leeds 0!
Grant still not up to scratch but you right seth Muir needs to finally choose who he def playing where and let them play their best...
ReplyDeleteMichalak is good for rugby but not if they dnt let the youngster find their feet...
Murray needs more game time and grant still needs to work a bit on his technique.
Azee we can have coaches of colour but it will not matter if they cannot have their say and if honestly they don't understand the game...
But heres hoping the devilliers is the man i make him out to be :)
Yes Mini a really keen interest, i switch on Skysports and i see you Muggs losing! What an awesome start to the day!
ReplyDeleteOn the kit thing, appearances mean sh*t! White kit, black kit, pink kit means nothing, it's what's under the kit! I'm sure Safraaz and his family will bear testament to the angelic nature of Yorkshire weeds like Bowyer, Duberry, Woodgate are!
It must be hard trying to follow Leeds on ESPN 8, The OCHO, where they show stuff like flyfishing and the spelling bee!
SETH WHY YOU MOCKING FLYFISHING?ITS CLASS!
ReplyDeletego to agree
ReplyDeletedavor suker!!!!! best finisher the game has!!!!!! not the best player by any means, but he knew where the net was!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat about Dennis Bergkamp, the non flying dutchman ?
ReplyDeleteVan persie
