UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE-SEMIS-THE POWER OF THE CHILLA

BARCELONA VS MAN UTD

PENALTINO...............YOU f#4KEN PENALTINO

The panel was strong again last night, and Nescafe was madness. The Barcelona section included myself, Ebie Loonat, Killa,ZK-I hope, Ebie Loonat, Mini, Fayaaz Haturhani and two guests, The Mancs were Seth,Taskeen, Hazrat,Khota, and the Punisher.

2 minuts in and we said f#4k, This Ronaldo is diving. And then Come Now Penaltino. H elived up to his blog name. He did everything right and spurned a glorious chance for a crucial road goal.

You see thats what Ive been saying, On a European night it takes one error like this. If someone gives you a gift you must take it, The Best Player in the world buckled under the pressure. Now thats the difference between Great and Good. But shame it happens to the best.
You know whats the bad thing. If Barcelona get 1, The Mancs must get 2. If Barca get 2 the Mancs must get three. Liverpool I feel are better off than the MANCS. The problem is not scoring , its defending at OT, and Barcelona certainly have the power to score....Messi, Henry, Deco, Xavi. One of them click and the MANCS are F#4ked.

To the MANCS, It has always baffled me ......the Toppie Fergusons tactics in Europe. I cant undertsand why he didnt attack. Park and Carrick. Park instead of Anderson. WTF. You need to score goals away from home. No Giggs. And why does he persist with Scholes

Anyways on the night, It was a game where Barca, could have created more.Id be happy if I were them

LIVERPOOL VS CHELSEA
"That was the power of the Chilla(40 days)"-Hazrat Y Rasool

This was the quote by Hazrat and his Mancs at Cafe Nescafe last night. Hazrats quote was in reference to Nicholas "Bilal" Anelka instigating the Chelsea goal. What was Risse doing. Did ANelka tell hime to come for 4o days. Why on earth did he not use his feet. It was a finish of a striker. And in the 94th minute. Thats theft. Its fucken theft. I must admit Im f#4ken gutted

Cafe Nescafe was rocking again as usual and we had a star studded panel. Myself, Mamadoo and Tovey, Seth and Azee, Mini, Killa, ZK & Taskeen, Shazo, Habib, Hazrat, Fayaaz and Mariaan , a dutch journalist who conducted some interviews with some of the faithful regarding Perreiras resignation for a Dutch newspaper.

All was going well when our labourer Kuyt put us in the lead after some clumsy Chelsea Defending. Tores spurned some glorious chances and Chech came big on the night, But f#4ken Risse, Maybe now I know what Faaiz Oz feels like after I stole from him two weeks ago.

But Killa and I were devastated. No one could see and feel our emotions. F34ks sakes.
But Rash Cassim is right. Maybe now we will go to the bridge and play attacking ball, instead of soaking it up and risking the equaliser.

And go visit our dadas. Again WHy no Crouch to drive home the advantage. It baffles me, Mams, Ejaz, Kopout, anyone..Why no Crouch?

This is what Rafa had to say

Rafa Questions Injury Time, Ref Plautz
Querying Konrad Plautz's decision to add four minutes of stoppage time to the second half, Liverpool boss Rafael Benítez expressed his disappointment with the 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Anfield in the Champions League.

Benítez reflected on Riise's last-minute own goal, saying, "I think that, in the end, you must be really disappointed."

Alluding to the stoppage time, he explained, "One minute in the first half, four minutes in the second half - and two hundred fouls! And then an own goal at the end of the game, so I'm really disappointed.

"Chances? Yes, we had better chances. They were a good team, they were strong, but we had the chances.

"But in football, at the end of the day, you need to score and to take your chances."

Rafa was asked if Chelsea's weekend tie with Manchester United could prove advantageous to his own outfit.

"Yes, I think so - but we know that we must play 90 minutes. The team today was working really hard, creating chances, and we must do the same away," he concluded.

All Things Considered

These words came within minutes of full-time, but even after Rafa had time to collect his thoughts before the actual press conference, his views did not soften at all.

"I was surprised that [Chelsea's goal] wasn't a free-kick or corner, because it's always throw-ins, free-kicks and corners, but in the end it was an own goal.

"We're really disappointed, but we have 90 minutes, we need to go there, and look for a win."

Was he disappointed in the officials, too?

"Yeah," he emphasised.

"It is not the first time. I'm really disappointed.

"Too much stopapge time? Everything was... we knew the game, because the game against Marseille* was much the same, so we knew it would be very difficult. And at the end, it was difficult.

"You can't blame the referee for the own goal, but - I don't know the exact time - there was one minute of stoppage time in the first half and four in the second half, maybe five... it's difficult to explain."

* Konrad Plautz officiated Liverpool's 1-0 home defeat to Marseille on Matchday 2 in October.

Owners at Anfield as Riise own goal spoils the party

Dirk Kuyt scores the opening goal to send Anfield and its looking good

Hey John, you look like you get less sleep then me !

Benitez : “Riise, there’s 5 minutes left, don’t %$@ up !”
Grant : duh duh, look at the enthusiasm in my face

Riise: “Duh what, I thought you said use my head Boss, plus I always wanted to score at the Kop”

Chelsea walk away with a precious away goal thanks to Liverpool’s totally putrid left back “Jou Naaier” Riise. Not only is he absolutely useless, but he is a total waste of space. I have a feeling Abramovich hugged him after the game. The moment Aurelio got injured, and the camera’s showed Riise getting ready, I started to get edgy. He hasn’t scored all season, and he hasn’t done any worthwhile defending either. What value does he offer the Reds? Surely the Argie youngster Emiliano Insua could pull off a more competent performance at the back for Liverpool? After all the struggling and striving last night, Liverpool deserved to win, but Alas, it ain’t over till fat frank Lampard sings. Now the pressure is on Gerrard and Co, to do what they hadn’t done before in a Champion League encounter- score a goal at the bridge. I wonder if Carra hit him with a right, or if Martin “Prison Break” Skrtel stabbed him in his head, but definitely Riise is the most unpopular man on Merseyside at the moment, OK maybe after Tom Hicks, who is in town possibly for talks with DIC.
Chelsea face United on the weekend, and don’t have the liberty of fielding a weaker team. That could be a positive point for Liverpool to exploit, with Birmigham at the weekend, Liverpool do have the chance to field a weekend side
I still have my Liverpool flag on my back board, I am wearing my Liverpool Kit, Jacket and scarf and like Liverpool’s famous anthem goes ..”with hope in your heart”, I still believe we can overcome the deficit and make it to Moscow in May.
Hope springs eternal, and Now its time to show that Liverpool can once again, Rise to the occasion, just Like a well baked loaf of bread. C’mon You Reds

any comments from the "i hate dirk kuyt click" ??? the boy was good. hard working as ever. thats what football clubs need, players who play with heart.

DROGBA , what an a$$. i mean, the boy drops faster & quicker than ronaldo. i could have sworn last night that he was hit by a bus a couple of times, the way he exxagerated.

does DROGBA do any good for the game by carrying on like a baby ??

blame drogba for the 4 minutes of injury time.

    anyways, thank riise.

  7. Its not the end of the world...Liverpool are fighters..and they now have to attack at the bridge....

Come the moment cometh the team...12th man or not....anfield or not...LIVERPOOL will pull this one off...

  8. Hahaha

Riise is a legend, how could he use feet to clear that ball. He only has a left foot and the cross was impossible to clear with his left. If he used his right he would've sliced it into the top corner.

As for Garaaks and the road goal, it's for Chelsea who have the road goal and you scum have never scored at the Bridge since Rafa's taken over.

Plus i;m off donuts for this week and should be in top form to bundle a few goals over the line.

  20. Vidic doubtful for Barca duel

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is a doubt for Wednesday's Champions League semifinal first leg against Barcelona after going down with a stomach bug.

The Serb missed training at the Nou Camp on Tuesday and Spanish media said he had been taken to the Hospital de Bellvitge late in the evening for an assessment of his condition.

Manchester United were unavailable for immediate comment about the player.

Fellow defender Wes Brown is also likely to face a late fitness test after he only briefly took part in Tuesday's training session, jogging around the pitch rather than joining in with the rest of his team-mates.

  32. The worst kept secret in South African soccer is out.

On Wednesday the South African Football Association confirmed what most people knew, that Brazilian Joel Santana has been officially appointed as the new Bafana Bafana head coach.

He replaces countryman Carlos Alberto Parreira who resigned on Monday citing his wife's illness due to cancer as his reason for not wanting to complete his contract with Safa that was due to run until after the 2010 World Cup finals.

Since Parreira's resignation, it was learnt via Santana's Brazilian club Flamengo that he was heading for South Africa.

'We are hoping he will start work around 9 May'
The appointment was confirmed on Wednesday afternoon by Safa chief executive officer Raymond Hack, that the 59-year-old Santana has accepted the position and was hand picked by Parreira.

Said Hack: "There are still legalities to sort out such as his work permit and actually signing the contract but he is our man and has agreed to coach Bafana. We are hoping he will start work around 9 May."

Senior Safa officials will be heading to Rio de Janeiro on Sunday to meet Santana and formally get him to sign the contract which lasts until after the 2010 World Cup finals.

Hack said the fact that Santana does not have any experience coaching a national team would not be a major stumbling block.

Explained the Safa CEO: "He is a top coach having won the Brazilian championship four times. He also coaches the biggest club in the world at present and has coached some of the biggest stars in the game.

'He will work alongside Parreira's technical team'
"We strongly believe we have found the right man to replace Parreira."

Hack said there would be a smooth transition of power between Parreira and Santana.

Said Hack: "We have listened to and accepted Parreira's advice. He rates Santana very highly and has the same philosophy and vision as Parreira.

"The fact that he will work alongside Parreira's technical team (assistant coaches Jairo Leal an South African born Pitso Mosimane) is a big plus and means that the team will continue the good work and foundation that Carlos laid for building a competitive squad for the 2010 World Cup."

Parreira has agreed to help Safa as a technical consultant.

Santana has coached in Saudi Arabia, Japan and the United Arab Emirates.

Like Parreira he is known as a conservative coach.

Santana will be thrown into the deep end when he prepares the squad for four difficult back-to-back African Nations Cup qualifiers against Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Equatorial Guinea in June.

Bafana play the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the central Nigerian city of Abuja in the opening 2010 Afcon qualifier on 30 May after which they play Sierra Leone in Gambia, due to the fact there are no suitable stadiums to host an important Afcon qualifier. They then have home and away clashes against Equatorial Guinea before the end of June. - Sapa

  38. All you ABU's can put your head in the toilet and flush it coz all your predictions and thoughts were incorrect. How can u persisit with Scholes-he got the winner, Messi, Deco,Xavi Eto etc are going to hammer Manc's at OT-I'm still waiting for that to happen. Liverpool winning at the Bridge-try a Carling Cup match coz Liverpool tend to win plastic cups. So ABU's, any predictions for May 21? Rather not, coz everything you say turns out the opposite.
