Weekend Soccer Round Up-PEREIRA WTF

It was a relaxing weekend, Whats new, Power Outages, Cold .....the usual stuff. From a sporting perspective the MANCS edge closer to the title. But one of the more quieter weekends, Footie on Sunday again and we got thumped 3-0. Had a young lad in the team that probably had a Michaelangelo breakfast before the game. He couldn't hold and gave us a thorough description of where to go for breakfast and what to eat. Its the second time in the history of the club that the Sargent came calling.......

The rest of the Sunday was spent eating Lol. But first up I have to address this issue. I phoned Azee and Seth immediately about hearing on Perreira.
Now we all know on the blog that Im not a fan of Perreira.

So lets address this issue critically with some mature comments. Why is Perreira leaving us. Is it because SAFA does not want to raise his salary to 3.8 bars. Could be? Im gonna ask a few questions here and spark of a debate. Please when leaving a comment regarding the Perriera debate refer to the questions.

1. As I said, maybe he knows something we dont. Now what could this be?
2. His family needs him, I heard his wife is ill and well we which her the best.Is this it?
3. Maybe he knows he has a squad thats destined to fail or at least he believes that he cannot make miracles in SA
4. Maybe the state of this country in terms of loadshedding, price hikes, crime has driven him away.
5. Did Perriera do a noble thing or was it a k#4k thing to do.?No scruples

And lastly perhaps he just buckled under the pressure of a frenzied football mad nation?
What is it.....What is the Perreira Situation.

Oh and last but not least, If he gallantly f#4ks off...Who should be the man that takes charge.?I say Gorden Ingesund. Azee, maybe my constant moaning will throw Gordon in the helm

THEATER OF DREAMS

I think Im gonna become a MANC supporter. Maybe then and then only will they Not Win. It seems that teh more nazr you put on them the more they f#4ken win. Again here they would have been in teh perishaans if it wasnt for the Tevez equaliser. No they must draw a game if they lose gaiinst Chelsea. F34k it. The Mancs have it all to lose. And it seems that they have the players to WIN the title. So f#4k it yeah...Everything though is focussed on the Champions League against Barca. Many debate that Barca will come through, then again many debate that without Ronaldinho, Deco and Puyol Barcelona are F#4kall..
Whaterver the case this week is the SLAUGHTER
ALWAYS A GUNNER
Had supper with Jives on Sunday night....We debated the Arsenal situation....The future of the players, the captain etc. It was said that the signing of a striker and a central defender and Arsenal are on their way. But Jives made a good point stating that If stars arrive, what happens to Wengers nuturing of the litys...so he concluded by saying that Wenger knows his thing. Also I see that Arsene has urged all the young Gunners to stay. Even Fabregas...But you know the stitch...When you going out with a badaam and she leaves you because you not producing Silverwear, the big clubs start circling like vultures and try to pull tactics of wooing your girl. Same thing here...The big clubs are like vultures trying to sign the Young guns. If they are like chics from the old era, they stay or else they will move on for the money and push life
FROM THE KOP END
Chamopions League is all but safe. Alot of debate has been surrounding the problems at Anfield Off the field that is, With Hicks and DIC and Rafa. Now the latest coming in is that Liverpool are in Financial problems and the sale of Tores is beneficiall. AC MIlan and Juve are eportedly watching over Torres. Another thing looming is a mass exodus of some owes at Anfield. If you ask me.....Benayoun, Kuyt, and a host of other owes need to be brought in, We need to be Up There challenging for every major trophy there is
CHEL$KI
It is said that Jose has signed for Inter and is taking Drogba and Lampard with him. Then it is said that Guus is on his way to the bridge. We were just talking yesterday..What happened to the likes of Sidwell, Tel Ben Haim, Winston Bogaarde and all these other duds Chelsea signed. Big things gonna happen next year for sure.
In the rest of the premiership the usual things happened. Villa thumping Birmingham in a local Derby and Owen scoring a brace in a Derby win over Sunderland
SPANISH LA LIGA
Barcelona drew,,,Madrid Won. What can I say ...Riyad Loonat smiles again. But Il wait for him next year in Europe,,,Because Juve are almost back....We back he he.....More on La Liga in Super Tuesday. Good thing for Barca is that Europe is all thats left to play for
SERIE A UPDATE
A great win for Juve and a hat trick For Del Piero. Roma F#4ken drew and well Inter look set for the scudetto again. Milan won 5-1 against Reggina and Im happy for Juve. We need some big signings and we competing for Europe Again......
Forza Juve
Oh and Killa ,Good win for Bayern in the German Cup. You guys are putting Luca Toni in prime form for the Euros

  1. Oi Swoosh hold up a bit...
the poor guys wife is sick...i mean really now show some heart!!!
But on to something a little diff...
Parera (yah i cnt spell his name) anyway is calling for a brazilian replacement
rumour has it also that aft euro 2008 scolari may be the next shuu in for his position so the underlying q is should this be a brazilian domination or should we finally turn back to our SA coaches who must stipulate in their contracts to have the last say (as devilliers has done)?????

  3. I listened to Mark Gleeson (He knows his stuff about African football) this morning and he said that Parreira is leaving because of his wife being ill , end of story nothing sinister (for a change).I had to agree with him in that it is a big blow because signs were that Parreira was beginning to exert his influence with the big picture of 2010 in mind. Interesting to note is that SAFA still want his assistant to remain with Bafana and have asked Pareira if he could recommend an alternate.

  4. Like swoosh said, it there for us to lose the league. This weekend is cruicial cause if we beat Chelksi the league is over, however a loss would really oppen things up. However it is still in MAn u's favour as Chelski have to chase for the win.

  5. swoosh - as for perera, the okes wife is sick man- give him a break. if you had a wife you would know the feeling.
however that said, bafana are down and out after this. they were just starting to show some reward after 2 yrs work and now they screwed.

  6. Its absolutely ridiculous. The man was given job. A very very high paying job. He accepted. A contract was signed.

Maybe there isnt anything sinister going on, and his wife is the real reason, but still.... at that price he should be able to relocate his family members.

I remember an earlier post where soccer WAGS call the shots. Well looks like a WAG has broken the hearts of many South Africans.

With all of that, I still say : F Pereira. What the F has he done so far??? One result against a depleted South American Team. BOO HOO. Let him go.

All we need is the heart and desire. One player or Manager doesnt make a team (unless you are Manchester United)

Life goes on. Bafana will rise again, and i think they will rise to heights that Pareira could not have achieved.

on a lighter note, i heard Sven is a likely successor. Now thats a real joke.

    Bring in the "special one"

  7. Swoosh - Toni is on form.. No doubt about that.. But consider whos feeding him.. Ribery and Schweinsteiger.. And last time i checked they aint ITAL's..

Also is the panel gonna be at Nescafe tomoro night ??

  8. As for Perreira - I checked on SKy that his wife is ill.. I personally think he has no say in deciding a squad and who to pick.. And he's getting frustrated at this and cant take it.. No coach would.. If I were him i'd go..

The politics in the higher power within SAFA r gonna kill Bafana by 2010.. I know this from a reliable source..

Anyways i would love Igesund to get the job..

  9. The "White Witch Doctor" Ingesund deserves a crack. He has done or won everything in SA. He knows the players and systems better than anyone.

SAFA trust our Own for once and see success

  11. Yeah Killa the panel is going to be at Nescafe!

I say we get Guus, the man has done it with the Koreans, Aussies and now taken on Roman's Russians. he knows how to win with small nations!

ZK forget United, let's talk about how the Sharks blew an 18-7 half time lead to go down to the Brumbies. On the weekend that the Crusaders lost! Stormers for a home semi!

  12. seth god damn knows
It actually scares me that one of the best teams in SA (sharks) look so good on paper but when it comes down to the wire they don't perform to their full...
For Fucks sake they need a damn slap to wake them up...

And Seth United didnt close their season yet ;)

  13. Seth and Azee...You okes are always throwing it in my face about statements I made

    Now answer my questions..?

Did Perreira do us down or not?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yeah but we're in the final stretch looks like the Sharks have got something stuck in their throat and going to start choking real soon!

    Hahaha!

Pity we don't have things wrapped up like unReal!

  15. swoosh, they guy was just starting to implement a playing style on the team. It a shit time to quit! look i got to agree with the guy who said he should relocate his vrou to SA and carry on with his job. at the wage he was getting, we cannot stand for this kak!

Igesund has to be in the front line now!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Azee and Strokes

The man was shattered about quitting at this stage but only he knows the family situation.
Married ou's did he do the right thing?

His timing is horrendous, we got Nigeria at the end of May and then 4 Afcon qualifiers in June and July. We'll need someone in ASAP. Don't think they going local, chances are we'll get another Brazilian. But i'm hoping for a Guus or perhaps Scolari after the Euro's. But that may be too late for the Afcon!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Seth - Roman wont let Guus leave.. Even if he leaves Russia he's gonna go to THE BRIDGE.. Scolari would be a fool to come take over Bafana.. Besides.. Who ever takes over now has to carry on where Perreira left off.. No high profile coach would want to implement another coaches tactics and plans..

    I say bring in Igesund..

    LoL @ unREAL..

    ReplyDelete
  18. well. it appears as though Santana will be teh man in the hot spot. letts see what happens.
Mel from different strokes - What do you mean no improvement, I'm not talking about results here. You could see a marked improvement in the way Bafana played in the AFcon and against Para. I agree results are what counts, but the improvement was evident in the style, aggresiveness etc. With Parera leaving, I don't think that we have enough time to now start all over again.
