For Liverpool, Im sure they'l make it through. Standard Liege are one of the Top sides in Belgium and they have a great European Tradition. But playing the second leg at home at the KOP is a big factor. If all goes well and it must then Liverpool will go through.....

As for Juve, the press have been hogging Ranieri and Secco for poor purchasing in the Summer.
And rightly so. Juve have spent 24 million odd on Amauri and only purchased Mehlberg in Defense. The Bianconeri have always had a stopper of World Class Status in the past, Ferrara, Cannavaro, Gentile, but this year the media have slated Juve as having one of the weakest Back Lines.
All said and done, Juve should qualify and square up with the Big Boys soon enough

AND he calls UBG The Special One

Mourinho To Ranieri: You Are Old And Fruitless
Inter coach, Jose Mourinho, has responded to Claudio Ranieri’s rant by blasting the former Chelsea Tinkerman with a number of insults.

Ranieri had mentioned Mourinho during his sour grapes press conference after Juventus lost 3-0 to Hamburg. “I am not like Mourinho, I don’t have to win things to be sure of myself,” moaned Ranieri. This has prompted a reaction from the ‘Special One’ who just couldn’t help himself from taking aim, and gunning the Old Lady coach down with some heavy words. “I am in Italy to work hard rather than take part in a war of words,” Mourinho told Inter Channel. “I want to do well with Inter and do the best possible for us and to forget about the work of others. “Ranieri? I guess he’s right with what he said I am very demanding of myself and I have to win to be sure of things. “This is why I have won so many trophies in my career. Ranieri on the other hand has the mentality of someone who doesn’t need to win. He is almost 70 years old. “He has won a Supercup and another small trophy and he is too old to change his mentality. “He’s old and he hasn’t won anything.” The coach also spoke about Zlatan Ibrahimovic and he believes the Sweden star is better than Kaka and Lionel Messi. “Seeing Ibrahimovic in training makes me understand how Special he is,” said the coach. “Messi? Kaka? Ronaldinho? Ibrahimovic is the special one.” Mourinho’s words are likely to cause some controversy. The coach claimed he was not prepared to have a verbal fight with the rest only to eat his words and add petrol to the fire.

THE OLYMPIC GAMES
QINGDAO, August 4) -- The Olympic Sailing start-off ceremony will take place in the Qingdao Olympic sailing center park starting at 7:00 p.m. on August 9. Officials in charge of planning the event promise that it will be, "the largest, most organized, most artistic, most exciting and most beautiful ceremony ever," as reported by the Qingdao Morning News.
The ceremony is will be made up of three parts: an enactment of "Raising the Sails in Qingdao", a performance of "Love in the Seas" and a brilliant firework display at 10 p.m. to end the ceremony. Some 2,000 actors will participate in the ceremony, along with 20 Qingdao singers.
The ceremony will also showcase the lighting of the Qingdao Olympic cauldron. The fire will be taken directly from the torch fire at the Opening Ceremony in Beijing and will burn until August 24, when it will be extinguished at the same time as the flame in Beijing.

Like the Five Olympic Rings from which they draw their color and inspiration, Fuwa will serve as the Official Mascots of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, carrying a message of friendship and peace -- and good wishes from China -- to children all over the world.
Designed to express the playful qualities of five little children who form an intimate circle of friends, Fuwa also embody the natural characteristics of four of China's most popular animals -- the Fish, the Panda, the Tibetan Antelope, the Swallow -- and the Olympic Flame.
Each of Fuwa has a rhyming two-syllable name -- a traditional way of expressing affection for children in China. Beibei is the Fish, Jingjing is the Panda, Huanhuan is the Olympic Flame, Yingying is the Tibetan Antelope and Nini is the Swallow.
When you put their names together -- Bei Jing Huan Ying Ni -- they say "Welcome to Beijing," offering a warm invitation that reflects the mission of Fuwa as young ambassadors for the Olympic Games.

THE DOCTORS MEDICINE

ALL THE WAY FROM LONDON UK

Just spoke to the Doc now . They arrived in London from Birmingham. Just caught him before he,Hash and the physio Shane Jabar are gonna get some site seeing done

I congratulated Moose on his first series victory as Team Manager. Moose labelled it as a brilliant performance that envisaged pride, courage and determination. A total Team effort. He also says that although the lads have won the series there is still one test match to go.

I also chatted to him about the pres conferences his doing. Interesting story ,Moose just addressed a press conference earlier in the tour...The British media have been calling the SA TEAM THE BOKS, Moose addressed the issue and said that they are the Proteas and not the Boks. Moose also addressed the British Media when they refered to certain players as Cape Coloureds. He told the media that that is not an apt term and that was a term symbolising the architect of apartheid.

"UK media told off for mixing up Proteas and Boks"

Headingley - The English media has been ticked off for calling the South African cricket team the "Boks" and for referring to certain players as "Cape Coloureds".
"You must understand referring to players on an ethnic basis is a very sensitive issue bearing in mind our history," the Proteas' manager, Dr Mohammed Moosajee, said after the third day's play of the second Test.

"Cape Coloureds was invented by the National Party, the architects of apartheid, and is offensive."
The phrase "'previously disadvantaged' would be far more appropriate and acceptable", he said.

Moose's functions on tour include addressing the protocols, procedures and functions involving the PROTEAS.

But overall Congratulations to Mohamed Moosajee on his first victory. It was a great achievement as best of Luck boys in the Next Test
