The delighted Alis after the game
The Abus after the game
A worried Azee and Seth at halftime
A packed Nescafe. The Atmosphere was class
It wasnt a game as exciting as yesterday but the question all the owes were debating about is that "Is Penaltinho a big game Player". I can tell you one thing, that goal was worthy of sending your team into the Semi Final. A wonder strike by the arrogant MANC. They score early and I honestly felt that was actually a bad thing for the MANCS becuse they would have to endure a nerve wrecking climax. And Seth and Azee were nervous. Porto had their spells but just couldnt do it. Utd needed to win and Penaltinjos goal was top draw and enough at the end to see them through. Utd are not playing well but they F#4ken getting the results. We wanted Porto to win and they didnt. Rolando and Lopez came agonisingly close at the end but the question on the readers lips and certainly ABRS LIPS, Is PENALTINO A BIG MATCH PLAYER?
To the MANCS well the Emirates is not Porto and Im sure we will be treated to a spectacle.Arsenal were sublime and they are peaking at the right time. Great win against Villareal and thats what we expected. Two cracker jack semis. Chelsea and Barcelona and Arsenal and Man Utd. Could we be in store for a repeat of last years Final.
But Utd are now the only English team to win at Porto
The atmosphere at Nescafe was sublime and it was packed as it was for the Final last year. The Semis will go down
Come on you Gooners! F&^% the Mancs up!
ReplyDeletePorto didnt show up at all last night. I think the missing coach had some sort of an effect.
ReplyDeletePenaltino a big Match player. One early goal, and it was a real cracker of a goal.
But united failed to kill off a struggling Porto. One set piece could have been the difference.
But a win is a win. You guys are through to the Semi's, so take a bow.... well done.
Scholes looks like he is senile... he needs to be put out to pasture...
but how awesome was Ryan Giggs... FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE from the Vetran.... NOW THATS BMT
ABR
You guys asked for the lad to step up when the pressure was on, and he did in a big way. What a strike. The game was a tense affair but it's good to see the defence back playing better.
ReplyDeleteNot the vintage performance, but better than it has been.
We had to get a result and thats what we did, slaying the dragons in their own den. We need to kick on from here and continue the improvement.
What was ABR saying again? Ronaldo does what in big games?
Everytime ABR speaks, Ronaldo delivers, just like against Villa.
Shakes
Shakes it was just one goal in the quarters. Even kak lucas scored in the quarters.
ReplyDeleteMAN YOU SUCKS
Man of the match has to be Wayne Rooney. Played out of position & asked to do a defensive job down the left wing he almost single handedly stifled Porto's every attack.
ReplyDeleteRonaldo's goal ? thats why he is world player of the year.
chavel
Hey Galactico
ReplyDeleteAm i on the list for strikers
At least you idiots were all smiling in the pics this time.
ReplyDeleteHows the book club going along
Nothing near a vintage Utd performance, however still enough to get us through to the semi finals. It was a very tense game for Utd fans as one Porto goal would have us out.
ReplyDeleteRonaldo came to the party with a cracker of a goal. Well struck giving the keeper no chance. I'm still not entirely convinced by the team performance, but it will do.
Fatigue is creeping in and we in for a tough run in to the season finale. With Everton up next we need to keep pushing on.
The Gunners are gonna be a tough test as they peaking at the right time, they also have the luxury of resting key players before our semi final tie.
All in all Utd are in a fantastic position. Looking forward to a F.A Cup and C.L semi final and top of the league. We could not ask for more, however we currently dont have room for any slip ups and have to win every game until the end of the season. Lets hope the gunners can beat liverpool and ease some of the pressure.
Biggy
ABR: any comments on Ronaldo's goal?
Yeah but it was a goal on the back of 4 very poor performances, against a team that just a week ago had us struggling at home, in a stadium where no English team had won.
ReplyDeleteLucas didn't score, that was an Essien own goal. Also unlike that goal, it was one that took us thru to the semis.
Shakes
The boys are through to the semis & thats all that counts.
ReplyDeletearesenal are going to be extremely tough. they are a quality side & havent lost in 19 games ?
to win the cl , we have to play & beat the best of the best.
"go" ronaldo u beauty
All that matters is that ManU are thru to the next round. How they got there is irrelavant.
ReplyDeleteThat Ronaldo goal was pure class---say what you want about the boy, but thats why they pay him the big bucks.
And as for Ryan Giggs...wow, that man still has it!
Btw, just to rub it in, ManU are the only English team to beat Porto on their home soil! The Red Devils slayed the Dragons!!!
oh i forgot, man u are the best
ReplyDelete"go"
go you good thing go!
ReplyDeleteviva ronaldo!!!!!!!!!!!!
abr u cunt! u eating humble pie i see!
ReplyDeleteur lack of knowledge is showing up again and again! the lad is on to 20 for the season and he missed the 1st 6 weeks!
A below average performance from United, but thankfully Porto were even worse ... still, that doesn’t change the fact that last night United re-wrote the history books albeit in a non-spectacular fashion. THE ONLY TEAM TO BEAT PORTO AT THEIR FORTRESS
ReplyDeleteRooney was great and was the only one on the pitch that seemed hungry enough and it was good to see Rio and Vida back in action together again. Ronaldo’s strike was nothing short of brilliant but what was up with his celebration?
Anyways, bring on the Arsenal ... anyone coming to the UK for the semi’s
AND THE REDS GO MARCHING ON, ON, ON
Anyone planning to come to the UK for the semi-finals and need tickets, let me know (But be prepared to part with a decent amount of cash)
Swoosh, Seth and Azee
