The Portuguese arive in South Africa and thats great. Queiroz's men have struggled through the qualifying campaign and made it through. There is a huge Portuguese following in South Africa and many of the fans are thrilled that the Portuguese have made it to 2010.
I spoke to a few Portuguese fans in the South ad they have decorated their homes in Portugal colors and flags and are pumped up. The Portuguese though have always had great teams but never quite delivered on the World Stage. Could this be their year. With stars such as Ronaldo at the helm it could be possible. But the Portuguese have to negotiate themselves through a tough group consisting of Ivory Coast and Brazil. Possible yes. The game in Durban will prove to be a cracker as ticket prices are through the roof. Everyone wants to finish Top in the group to avoid Spain in the round of 16.
Portugals weak link could be Queiroz.Does he have the International exprerience to guide Portugal to the title.
My stars to shine for Portugal are obviously Christiano Ronaldo andI say watch Nani. This could be his tournament.
Or just maybe it could be an early flight home
