"The original Elro Motors was started by my father Elias Silvestriadis in the late 1960’s, and was situated in Fordsburg, Jhb, South Africa. He moved his business to the current location in Amalgam in 1980.

Although at that stage specialising in rebuilds, Elro Motors was widely known and respected in the motor vehicle repair industry.
I joined my father in 1983 learning every aspect of an already successful business. I bought the business and property from my dad in 1997 and we have grown from strength to strength.

From a fairly small sized repair centre in 1997 our motto has always been quality of workmanship and good customer relations, up until today our goals have remained the same.
Aquiring a neibouring property in 2004 enabled Elro Motors to double in size therefore expanding our work force,with a growth in turnover and ultimately nett profit.

In an industry of continual growth and technological change, it has been a constant challenge upgrading Elro Motors to keep it abreast with the modern vehicle repair facility.
With investment comes reward in the form of manufacture approvals, insurance company approvals and generally being recognized as an important member of the motor industry. Just as important is investment in quality staff members guaranteeing a profitable future for any business. The business is headed by Mr Carl Dval, shareholder and general manager, an asset to any business and the key to a successful one.

Carl has his key personal in every section of the operation, from the accounts department to the wash bay overseeing their respective responsibilities.
From the initial warm greeting of our friendly reception staff to the collection of a repaired vehcle, we at Elro Motors try to make an already traumatic experience as comfortable and effortless as possible.
