I will never forget this moment. Way back in 1993. A gentleman came from a foreign country in my family. Couldnt speak a word of English. There were a bunch of toppies that took him out for the day to finish up his induction process. Nevertherless Lunch Time arose and they sent him in to order the lunch. A lady was at the counter at the time. They gave him the order and the lad made his way to the counter unable to speak a word of English and ordering upon instruction from the mafia. It was probably his first training of the English Language.
The following Dialogue arose. I kid you not
lad: Slm. Could I E-ORDER PLEASE?
lady: wslm, sure. What would you require Sir?
lad: I want e-one pu$$ bergher weeth extra sauce please?
lady: Excuse me. What did you just say
lad: PU$$ bergher weeth extra source
lady: Do you know what you saying
lad: I e-said I wontt e-one pu$$ bergher weeth extra source. (Confused and shouting)
Before the situation got out of hand one of the toppies waltzed in and salvaged the situation. It was indeed a moment. 12 years later the lad speaks only English and realised the dangers he faced in that situation. Im sure he will pass on to this induction process to the next generation of foreigners who donot posses the wonderful skill of speaking English with a touch of Slang
i'd sya the moment that shook the blog was watching an ad last night and seeing thierry henry advertising reebok. i thought this dude was hardcore nike, sounds be agassi'esque to me.
