Well this wouls have always turned out to be a heavy shooting draw. The only lucky b#$ta#$ds that came out smiling as usual are Man Utd. Always & Always the UTD owes end up with the easiest draws, referees leniancy and last minute stopage time goals. Im not being nasty here but lets face it Lille is the k#$kest team in the draw and Utd draw them. here is my analysis on the draws.
FC Porto vs Chelsea
This should be an easy tie for Mourinho, The millions and the Chel$ki owes. After all mourinho took all the Porto Owes to Chelsea. The trip to Portugal could be a bit tricky but I think Chelsea are experience and wont be too complacent. Chelsea outright winners by far
Celtic vs AC Milan
The bhoys will come up against a Milan team that definately have the experience and fire power. Lippi could be at the helm and if he is there Milan could well make a run for the title. Good try Celtic but my money is on Milan
PSV Eindhoven vs Arsenal
If Arsenal play like theway they played the second half against Portsmouth then Wengers men should progress to the next round. Titi will be back and those two Koreans from PSV that were the mad engines down the wings are long gone. Arsenal should go through
Lille vs Manchester United
See the paragraph above. The easiest of all the teams
AS Roma vs Lyon
With the return of Totti Roma look like they gaining momentum as they speed along. For Lyon now is the time to lay the demons to rest and release the tag of under achievers
Barcelona vs Liverpool
And Liverpool get the most difficult draw. The reigning Champions. But you have to beat the best at any stage in the competition. To play Barcelona in the Nou Camp is a difficult task for any opposing team. At Anfiels Liverpool can hold their own. The way Liverpool's season has gone thus far I say its better Barcelona than Lille. Because Liverpool are like Pakistan, Unpredictable. Wont be surprised if there is an upset here.
Real Madrid v Bayern Munich
Last time I watched this same fixture at my house with Riyad Loonat. Madrid were knocked out. The Germans are machines and on form We can say Adious Madrid. So dont go on honeymoon Riyad to the Berbabeau thinking you will coax Madrid through. The Germans are the Germans
Inter Milan v Valencia
Inter with the help of Calciopole and the Serie A all of a sudden think they are invincible. Valencia on the night can beat anybody. Should make for an interesting encounter

ReplyDeleteI must admit when i looked at the teams in the hat i made a little duaa that we draw Lille...and it was also before Jumaa.
But its prob the worst draw for UTD cause whenever we play weak teams...we lose case and point-Copenhagen,West Ham,Liverpool.
Swoosh, do you hate us cos we have the devils luck, or cos your Juve side have to buy their luck and then get caught and dropped to Serie B, loose their world cup winning captain, miss out on champions league football and on the whole are in KAK.
ReplyDeleteThere are no EASY teams to play in the CL. Very true that of the lot any team would have liked to have had a crack at lille. But they not gonna be walked over. They've been in the CL last term. Perhaps they don't have a history of being a great footballing side, but they can play football. I'd rather play LIVERPOOL then LILLE.

ReplyDeleteYes we got the worst possible draw but I know we will win . I remember on the road to Istanbul Biggy called me before every knockout game saying that we were not good enough and that our time in the Champions League was up so I think its good to play the best teams and knock them out.
ReplyDeleteI know most of you think that Liverpool are not good enough to beat Barca but just wait and see on the night. Its gonna be a huge night for Liverpool FC .
