WEEKLY SOCCER ROUND UP-"THE COMET HAS PASSED"

When Haleys Comet appears it is indeed a moment that occurs once every 75 years. Yes there are other comets but there is that comet that encapsulates that perfect weekend. This weekend was such a weekend. Where can we start...........

FROM THE KOP END & CHELSKI
ANNNNNNNNNNND YOULLLLLLLLLLLL NEVER WALK ALONE, YOULLLLLLLLLL NEVER WALK ULOOOOOOOOOONNE.
What a sublime Liverpool performance indeed. They outplayed Chelsea from the offset. This will be demarcated as Jose's final swansong. The RETURN OF THE MAC. It may seem far off and far away but to me the Title Challenge is now a four way race. Anything can happen.Cisse and the lads now have the ball in their court. I recieved the following sms's from Liverpudians on the blog.

"Liverpool are the f$$%n champs!naseem after dat 1st half performance,i believe we got wat it takes 2 win the premiership. just a message from me to the blog"-Faheem Vahzerz

"Slmz. If you check ur blog u will c that my predictions were spot on.2-0 to LFC & 2-1 to GUNNERS. The title race aint over yet......Thx Man"-.Mombhai

So what are Chelsea. Pretty Ordinary. To me Terry is sorely missed.Sorely missed. Ballack should have never left Bayern. Oh the Liverpool owes were bouysterous on Saturday Night but If the weekend went according to plan they would be Ecstatic.......
which takes us to

THEATER OF DREAMS AND A GUNNERS POINT OF VIEW
Firstly this post was almost not gonna be. I was sabotaged last night at POPS'S(Man Utd) house. He got my finger stuck in his gate so i woudnt be able to type. But even if i coudnt move I would have with my last breath made a plan to flight this post
I watched the game at home with a 2 die hards. Faaiz Oz (Arsenal ) and Mamoo (Man Utd). I must say when Utd went a goal up I told Faaiz Oz that the Stinkers will never do anyone a favour. But then Ti Ti was there and I said to the lads that the man is looking Menacing. It will just be a matter of time before the UTD MUGGS go to sleep. And VA VA VOOM, the equaliser. Poor Mamoo, the mans heart thumped and I could feel his pain when Ti Ti headed in the winner in stoage time. WHEN YOU LIVE BY THE SWORD YOU WILL DIE BY THE SWORD. How many times has UTD did this to other people. Anyways we took his car keys away as another Oil Sump was just not on. He left quietly.
Faaiz Oz on the other hand was jubilant. He even treated me for supper on his behalf. But the marking was shocking. Come on Azee,Moosa, Seth. Hoosain. You owes deserved to lose this one.
BUT THE COMET ARIVED,AND THEN LEFT . WOZA WHAT A WEEKEND

There were good wins for Middlesbrough,Everton and but the big four was all that mattered this weekend.

EUROPEAN ROUND UP
Good wins for Barcelona and Real Madrid. They sustain the pressure in La Liga. Riyad loonat looks like he has plenty to smile about this Summer and in the next two months.
Inter Milan the lucky MUGGS look certain to win Serie A.Roma and AC Milan drew.

FORZA JUVE
Juventus are at the top of Serie B with a swift return iminant. Goals from Trezeguet,Nedved and Del Piero handed Juve a 4-2 win over Bari. I must comment about Juve for 2 reasons. 1. Its my blog 2. People will be more educated about Serie B.

But I am looking forward to the slaughter today. Like I said the comet has passed. And I expect this blog to skit today as the members from the KOP will be rampant. PS it would be nice to here from Biggy,Azee,Seth,Hoosain,Pops, Hazrat & the Laudium Owes and Waseem Khan

  1. I never in my wildest dreams thought that the day would come, where i the mad devil fan would congratulate the boys from the kakEND... after saterday's result. Helping MAN UTD retain our lead in the number one spot. The UTD GUNNERS game was truely a cracker! but fcuking painfull to see the devils go down... Sir Alex made some debatable changes that put us on the back foot but no credit taken away from the gunners, a last minute heart stabbing goal sealed it. As long as the guys can retain our 6 point lead or better it the Cup will return to is home!!! mad devil fan

  2. Well, a great weekend of football which opens up the title race just a little bit...

I must sdmit that with MUFC still 6 points ahead of Chelsea and 11 points ahead of Liverpool with 14 to play... they still clear favourites to win the title... BUT, my only concern is if LFC can catch them AND..

of the 14 games left, MUFC must still travel to Anfield, Stamford Bridge & White Hart Lane, plus they play the derby and Everton away too... so if they loose 2 of these 5 , win 1 and draw 2, thats 10 points dropped.... throw in a slip up elsewhere and thats 10 plus points dropped... and I think a slump is on the way for MUFC...

As for Liverpool, we play all our remaining big games at Anfield, and with our outstanding home premiership form... 100% is a realisitic return from these games... plus with our toughest away game probably Newcastle... it is very possible that we have a great return until May !!!

No doubt, it will be tough... but I am very very confident that we will push MUFC to the bitter end, and if they slip up we will pounce.... the title will return to Anfield in May...

    You'll never walk alone...

  3. What a weekend. The Man u shouldn't feel too upset still with the 6 point lead and it's not as if chelsea can make up 6 points, united have to drop them. United have however managed to add pressure on themselves twice this season but dropping points against the big teams when they were in front. Against Chelsea and yesterday. That's 6 points that could have made it a 12 point gap. Yesterdays defeat will be hard to swallow but with no premiership football this week i think they will bounce back and maintain that gap for a while to come. Personally it's been a great weekend Liverpool winning, Man U losing, Inzi battling for his 92, if only hat asif guy could have stayed a while longer. Now all i'll need is for the pakis to win to cap this extended weekend of sports. oh if any of you would like to know what else naseem does cut and paste the following web address in your browser http://topics192.blogspot.com/search/label/South%20Africa . woza 2010 my a$$, it's all about picking up chicks.

  4. I just want to thank the Man U players for gracing Arsenal's magnificent stadium this weekend.

Arsenal have finally added a bit of "steel" to their play, and now seem to fight till the end. But once again they went one nil down at home.

I was glad to see the lighties improving and I felt Clichy had a good game.

    Man U supporters two question

    1. Has Giggs passed his prime ? That sitter he missed...

    2. Was the Henry incident a penalty? I mean come on, Gary Neville was kicking out at fresh air.

I will leave out the Wayne Fu$k$n Rooney jibes that was posted earlier in the season. He is still young and has time to score goals. (Maybe another 10 matches or so, or if Arsenal meet Man U in the FA Cup or Champions League)

Remember football is a 93 minute game...

  5. What a weekend
Chelsea lost and arsenal won now thats good fortune.

Azee i agreed with you that mourinho is a sound coach but i take back my comments, chelsea played like a second division team and liverpool were on top form and congrates to them but back to mourinho, the man spent im assuming about 150million pounds minimum since his arrival and he got no cover for his defenders?

Wenger, ferguson, benitez they dont over spend but atleast have someone if the main two get injured, any sensible manager woould foresee injuries taking place

Does he have a long term goal and does he not believe in youth, is there no centre backs in chelsea to fill the void? The defending was pathetic and you cant blame the make shift defenders who were out of position, to come out with a squad that they did on sat is a shame considering the money spent, he had a blank cheque and still wants more, maybe abramovich just got no birkat

Arsenal utd game was a cracker, two evenly talented teams pitted against each other is always a pleasure to watch except for swoosh constantly screaming they stinkers and they gona lose but the man was in his element thanks to ti-ti and was smiling from ear to ear

Arsenal dominated after the goal but utd played a good game but the victory goes to wenger, he took of our only defensive minded midfielder and replaced him with a striker leaving the front six to do what they do best and attack they did, with four strikers the pressure was on and we did look likely to score but 93rd minute was late but better late than never, henry was in sublime form and looked menacing from the start but the players as a team played well and im sure the neutrals would agree the game was good.

But the arsenal curse still remians, win liverpool and utd but lose to sheffield, lets hope they find their consistency and next season here we come

    ReplyDelete
  6. By the way, liverpool if utd win the league its thanks to you guys for allowing them the 6 point cushion, jose we expect a present to be sent to the emirates and ferguson benitez is expecting the same im sure

  10. Mr anonymous why not put a name or do sheep have more balls than you, all our boisterous singing is thanks to you guys, thanks for allowing us the privilege to sing so loud, bang bang

    ReplyDelete
  11. Faaiz, he sold Hooth AND Galas who were his back up center backs, Glen johnson is on loan at Portsmouth who is his back up right back and all three center backs are injured. its shit luck to have all those injuries added to this his 2 keepers got injured. some will say with allthat monet they should have cover but how much cover can you have, credit to the scousers they did us a huge favour but we could not take advantage of it!

Mufc deserved a point out of the game but rio and vidic went to sleep in stopage time and it cost us. U cant leave titi unmarked like that, he will make u pay!

lets not forget we still 6 points clear and its still up to everybody else to catch us!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Wheres Biggy ?????

What a good win for Liverpool !!!

We played some good football and *$#@&% chelski up .

Good win for the gunners also against manure .

    ReplyDelete
  13. Azee you correct but boulahrouz i dunno, what is he coz he stinks as a centre back, the money spent could have been spent in a more effecient manner producing much better results and performances, look at the other teams getting alot more from their signings and cost a quarter of the price, injuries are unfortunate but with a full strength team i only see their defence as world class, if they bring in hiddink they gona benefit considerably coz he has much better vision and he would not have brought in ballack who does nothing except get involve in a power struggle with lampard in the centre midfield, on paper their team looks good but attacking wise they dont cut it and its the coach who's vision counts in the way players play and how they contribute to the team

    ReplyDelete
  14. Why all the banter
    Log positions speak for themselves

    1 Man U
    2 Chelski
    3 kak team
    4 even more kak team
5 rest of the kak teams

    B Coovadia

  15. Log positions do but results play a part as well, you would have loved to win but you did'nt and thats why you say what you do we all need some justification, thats why liverpoolians still talk of the 80's, has no relevance to the game played or going to be played but its ok

Sunday's are for football and its the Superbowl in 2 weeks.
Faaiz, Toronto's an awesome place only friggen cold. Temp's have been between -5 and -20 for the last week or so.
Thanks to the scousers for keeping us 6 points clear, shame though next weekend you'll lose to Charlton or Wigan and once again lament over what could have been.
Mombhai, while we slumping you'll need your scum to be winning every game and you know that's not gonna happen.

  24. A sublime weekend. The title race looks to have split wide open and with 14 or so games left things are looking good 4 us

    ReplyDelete
  25. the way arsenal carried on after they won was as if they won the championship already, this can only be a reflection of what a great team they regard the Red Devils to be, all there is to say is that they were lucky on the day, they took their chances, congratulations they beat the soon-to-be premiership champions. as for the liverpool victory, we all know whats gonna happen next...a loss to one of the smaller teams. no use beating all the big guns and then losing to the lighties. but then again, thats y liverpool are such a kak team! lol :)the gap is 6 points and uniteds SUPERIOR goal difference might as well make it 7..
    The ldm guys

DID THE A$$ES not forget that they got 6 of the best at anfield. i was almost out of fingers counting the score. so to all the liverpool fans , dont worry who united lose to, worry about if you can beat united & if you can top them in the premier league. if my memory serves correct. liverpool have only finished once above united since 1990. 17 years & u guys finish once above the RED DEVILS....so sad !!!!!!
