-London - Roman Abramovich, the multi-billionaire Russian owner of London's Chelsea Football Club, has divorced his wife Irina, Abramovich's spokesperson said on Tuesday.
The pair "divorced in Russia on a consensual basis and have agreed terms in respect of arrangements for their children and a financial settlement," his spokesperson John Mann said.
Mann added that Abramovich's "corporate interests, including Chelsea Football Club" would not be affected by the proceedings.
Last week, Forbes magazine ranked former oil magnate Abramovich as the 16th-richest man in the world, with a personal wealth of an estimated $18.7bn.
The couple have five children.
He is also governor of Chukotka, a remote and bitterly cold region in east Russia across the Bering Strait from Alaska.
