The Punisher said "Swoosh" mention the Tour De France. Faaiz Oz said Rasmussens great breakaway had him gripped. I waited for the time because I knew it will come.
Lets go back in time. In the Lenz Times a bloke was hiding in a house, Then crossed the finishing line when the race was almost over. He simply snuck out of the house and led the pelaton. I know we had this discussion before. Time just goes. When Floyd Landers was the Culprit. Remember when the two broers cheated in the comrads marathon and were caught by their watches or laces. Why? I ask. Cycling is a sport of Endurance and mental strength personified. But With other people getting caught Why emulate the feat and CHEAT again. Is it the liberal woman that pushes them so hard and tells them to win at all cost or else they cant come home?
In a move that has shocked the cycling world and further denigrated the reputation of the Tour De France, yellow jersey wearer Michael Rasmussen has been sacked by his Rabobank team. The sacking is due to Rasmussen lieing about his whereabouts in June which is a flagrant violation of ICU policy. This latest blow leaves the Tour on its knees following the positive dope test of pre race favourite Alexander Vinokourov.
Many sponsors are now reconsidering their position to be associated with a sport so significantly influenced by doping. As I said in breaking news,How we miss the days of Indurain, LeMond, Pantani, AbdoJebarov and Armstrong?
What is the view of the bloggers regarding doping in sport? Should there be a more concerted effort to eradicate it or should all anti doping laws be abolished and doping be allowed simply because it is so rife and advanced that modern testing can’t even detect cheats?
I mean how can you wear the Yellow Jersey when you know You are pulling a Trick 7. In simple terms Why?Is it just the will to win or the desire to be famous?
Thanks Seth for the article)
It was sad to Rassmussopn end like this. It all comes down to doctor Ferrari. Anhow there is some light at teh end. Barloworld team has the polka dot jersey and with the mountains over, Soler is going to win this. Also I hope the lightie Contador is not doping as he looks in teh calibre of Armstrong. Imagine a young rider winning the yellow jersey.
ReplyDeleteAll the dopers must F$$k off from the sport
Alternatively, let them all dope and compete. That way it will be fair for all. But on condition that they sign a will that when they die all the dollars must go to Usama Bin Ladin
ReplyDeleteYa its become a sad joke really, a world reknowned event and its in shambles rite now...i think lance, indurain and bjorne rees, (maybe get in stallone there somewher) must do an ad or something and say, 'drugs, in the end the downhill is always quiker than the fight uphill"...the irony, its the same with cycling!!! but ya i think its a trend in all sport, imagine 'GP the playa' saying that golf has drug-abusers as well...golf for crying out loud!!hm, did ne1 check how ripped paul mcginley is?!! but ya theres always football..R10 served his time for an infringement and dignity prevailed!!! lets say no to performance-enhancing drugs together!!! 1..tst 2...tst 3...NOO!!!
ReplyDeleteAlways thought that the tour de france was a big joke...how can a man with no balls (they produce the testosterone needed 2 help build muscle) win 7 in a row? N how do these guys ride up such steep mountains for so many days on end? I think if they do get rid of doping the riders times are gonna increase drastically...
ReplyDeleteI think that this doping story has been around for years and the trick is to know how to beat the system. It is a pity that we are no longer view natural strength, abilty and raw talent.Doping should be banned. If you built for it and you've done the work you deserve the reward
