OPEN THE FLOOR

PETER CROUCH VS WAYNE ROONEY PART THREE

Over the past year we have been embroiled in a battle on the blog regarding who is better, Peter Crouch or Wayne Rooney. After the season and its climax I want to open the floor and settle this fiasco for the year. Crouch got off the blocks first. Rooney had a better second spell. Crouch scored much better goals than Rooney in the season. How can we forget Crouch's acrobatic volleys and bicycles kicks. Rooney, Well he scored normal goals. a few good ones against Roma and Milan, but thats all he has done.So I ask the blog.Is PETER CROUCH better than Wayne Rooney. According to the current season. My vote says PETER CROUCH. Im sure Biggy and their crew will have lots to say. But Im basing this on Stats and Merrit.

If you take attitude also I will give Crouch the thumbs UP. He wont get sent off in the biggest game of your life and let his Country Down.

AND EVEN THE CROUCH CELEBRATION WAS BETTER THAN ROONEY'S

Wayne who?

The Actim Index is the official player rating system of the Barclays Premiership and Coca-Cola Championship. It was introduced for the 2004/05 season and was devised by statisticians at the University of Salford in partnership with PA Sport.

How is the Actim Index calculated?

Complex mathematical formulae were devised to calculate the value of each player's contribution, match by match. In simple terms, the Actim Index comprises six calculations:
Calculation 1 - Assesses a player's contribution to a winning team, based on points won by the team when he appeared.
Calculation 2 - Assesses a player's performance in each game, by allocating points for actions that positively contribute to a winning performance such as shots, tackles, clearances and saves. It also takes points away from players for negative actions such as yellow/red cards and shots off target.
Calculation 3 - Allocates points based on time on the pitch.
Calculation 4 - Allocates points for goal scorers.
Calculation 5 - Allocates points for assists.
Calculation 6 - Allocates points for clean sheets.

Statistically your argument holds no weight so accept the fact that SHREK is the STAR of the show and lets move on.

The fact that Benitez always benches Crouch just proves my point. If he was that good he would've been playing as much or even more than Rooney. The fact that he spends most of his life on the bench clearly indicates that your manager himself doesn't rate him.

It's not like you scousers had an abundance of talented strikers that caused Crouch to shine the line.

you need you head examined and you can take Swoosh with you as he needs it as well.
I think without swearing the crap out of you scousers, I will let the stats speak for themselves

If he wants to leave he can leave but United don't have to sell him to their most hated rivals.

Fergie is only protecting the interests of the club by not allowing him to join you scum. Why would he want to strengthen the opposition. It's called tactics and being shrewd not jealousy!

  22. He is a shit player.Ferguson carries on like he is World Class.

We dont need him and Man Utd can load him off somwhere else. After his injury he was never the same.
