the premiership has shown uniteds consistency since its inception.
united have never finished out of the top 3 since the premier league started.
the ECL can boil down to luck. the ecl just doesnt show consistency.

Check last years stats, and you will see that our defence was one of the best in the league, plus we scored the most goals. The rooney/Tevez partnership is sending shivers down every premiership defenders spines.

They have the experience, creativity and flair to go on and win it..barring injuries i think that they will win it.
The problem with us is that we still too dependent on gerrard to win games..this year will be no different..we have 2 very good acquisitions in torres and benyaoun but from what i've seen in preseason babel looks too one dimentional(run down the wing and cut in..they'll read him in no time)..i am going to reserve judgement on veronin, a few decent performance in pre season but the premier league is a different ball game altogether.
watching the feyenoord game was a typical liverpool performance agaist teams that keep their defence compact and have no offensive ambitions, much like most of the samller teams in the EPL..hopefully with torres and benyaoun we can win those games...any team that comes to play offensively against us will 9/10 times be beaten..it's the defensive teams that we seem to struggle against
