MID WEED SOCCER ROUND UP

CARLING CUP

REMEMBER COVENTRY.WELL IF YOU FORGOT THEM .NOW IS A GOOD TIME TO REFLECT. AND ITS THE 1 YEAR ANNIVESARY SINCE SOUTHEND DUMPED THE MANCS

MAN UTD 0 COVENTRY 2

Is this correct.Ive had numerous sms's from the Kop owes saying take the MUGGS TO THE CLEANERS AND paint the blog sky blue. Ok I know this was a second string Man Utd side. But isnt pride at stake here. At least we dont have to hear about the quadruple now. Bottom line is MAN UTD ARE OUT OF THE CARLING CUP and as the ROCK from the WWE says "AND THATS THE BOTTOM LINE"

Elsewhere results when as expected but a strong Villa team were bounced out. Riza ANY WORDS FROM YOU HERE. Is this a train smash for a Villa Supporter. I know I feel the pain when Juve get dumped from the Coppa Italia. Must be a disappointing result for you.

ARSENAL 2 NEWCASTLE 0

Wenger lads keep moving on.Nicholas Bentner is one to watch in the future

READING 2 LIVERPOOL 4
Back to winning ways.At one stage we didnt look like we wanted the victory. And then a hatrick for our boy Fernando Torres. As the commentator said whatver Rush can do the Boy can do it better

The rest of the results yielded no upsets.

AGAIN WE ASK OUR MAN UTD FANS.IS THE CARLING CUP IMPORTANT.

SAY YOUR SAY NOW. DONT LOSE EVERYTHING AND THEN IN THE END SAY THAT THE CARLING CUP IS IMPORTANT?

SAY IT FROM THE GET GO

  1. If United win it we bring prestige & class to the competition. If we dont we can write it off as a Mickey Mouse Cup. Why cos we can we are United The Bosses We have the CLASS.
The Most Successfull Premiership Team. We've won the World Club Cup/Intercontinental Cup & Liverpool never have.( with 5 attempts - disgrace)

  2. But the most successfull English Team is Liverpool!

  4. Brilliant goals, absolute class performance from TORRES. but whats more important, this Carling cup or the league? I mean the guy was on the bench the last 2 epl games and now he scores a hat-trick. I would have preferred he played the past 2 games with a goal each and getting us max points, than playing last night and risking a possibility of an injury… I hope he starts against Wigan this weekend, that’s more important!

  5. Good on liver to prgress. personally teh carling cup is a crap cup and even in teh year that MU won it, it was still a crap cup. Frgie alwys plays the ligghties unless it is the only cup that they are playing for.

  6. Punisher i bet my last $dollar that Fergie will play Shrek and Ronaldo today!

  7. at the end of the day, a cup is a cup.
playing on the wembley turf in any final is a great experience & winning a cup, no matter what cup it is , is a victory.

yes, united have always fielded a weaker side in this competition, but if this is the only silverware a team is going to get in the season, then its important, cos its a trophy.

i think rafa's tactics are very strange. i would have preferred seeing torres being started in the premiership, rather then the cup.

it seems like rafa is concentrating on winning the carling cup, rather then the premiership.

anyway, good on the lad torres. he times his runs to perfection.

  8. Of the competitions that the Big 4 play in the Carling Cup is the least important. But a Cup is still a Cup.

Have to agree with Ebi, Torres is class but i was shocked to see him in the lineup. Rafa stated this year that the league will be prioritised but rests Tico for 2 important games and then plays him in the competition formerly know as the Worthnothing Cup.

Scum help me out i'm confused about your priorities.

  9. anonymouse, fergie will definately play rooney, to get him at peak match fitness. the lad has missed alot of games & needs the games.

anyway, you wouold wish to have shrek at liverkak.call him whatever names u want, but the boy havs class.

  10. we dont want him, we have Elnino dude... who u wished ud had!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Seth, I have to agree with you!

Why on earth did El-Nino sit on the bench in the last 2 league games and now he starts in the Carling Cup and plays the whole game with a trip to the JJB this weekend!

Well & Good he scored a hat-trick, but there were times I was sh1tting myself that Duberry or Bikey were going to injure him! And Rafa says he is still not guaranteed a starting place! WTF???

Torres, Gerrard, Carragher, Reina, Finnan MUST start every game!

  12. mind boggling to be honest..don't start your star player in the league and then start him 3 days later in the CC(which is not a priority)..not sure i see what Rafa is trying to achieve here..

    ReplyDelete
  23. I was absolutely flabbergasted by that performance," said Ferguson.

"I did not expect that at all. I am not interested in giving reasons or mitigating circumstances. It was just a very bad performance."

    shame fergie! Coventry

    ReplyDelete
  24. hey anonymous, FERGIE is admitting to defeat & not making any excuses.

united lost, bottom line. it would have been nice to progress further & give the youngsters a show, but it's over.

all u liverscum know that united never fielded a strong side & fergie started this trend of giving his youngsters a chance.

so, u can sing for years to come that we getting knocked out in the early stages, but you know the truth is that if we win the cup we happy, & if we lose, it's no train smash.

    "go" WIN THE PREMIERSHIP

    obviously united didnt wanna lose.
they played a weakened side, & hoped they would progress, but didnt.

as for the cup, we out without a doubt, but the way things are looking, you might as well write the premiership off for the liverscum.

out of 1 & more to follow.
