FourFourTwo's 10 Best Players in the World
1. Kaka
2. Cristiano Ronaldo
3. Ronaldinho
4. Thierry Henry
5. Lionel Messi
6. Steven Gerrard
7. Samuel Eto'o
8. Wayne Rooney
9. Gianluigi Buffon
10. Fabio Cannavaro

FOUR FOUR TWO is a renouned magazine. I agree with their choices, with the exception of Wayne Rooney. Once again Im not being a prick and biased but the lad is good but not great. I would have went for Becks or even Riquelme. Not Rooney, Certainly not Rooney.I open the floor here

  1. once again swoosh. you are biased. I am sure you would have loved to see Crouch there since you believe that he is better than Rooney.

  2. Wayne Rooney wants to play for Manchester United this weekend against Everton.
The Sun says Rooney last night told boss Alex Ferguson he is raring to return against his old club Everton on Saturday.
    check out tribalfootball.com

why didnt he make himself available for england than?
fergie also has a tendency to hold onto his players at crucial times
    the fuckin prick

  3. swoosh u doos , the lighty rooney doesnt need to prove anything to you.

ROONEY has proven his worth already.

any side in the world wouldn't say no to him.

  4. anonymous....look at the list above. Each player has won a World Cup, A champions League. Rooney is good no doubt, but he doesnt belong in this exclusive list.

He let England down in more ways than one.

Punisher Im not biased. Everytime I slate Utd. You guys say Im biased.

  5. You are baised Strobson

The man has proved to be a quality striker

    He is a natural

    He deserves to be there

The only reason you dont want him there is cause he plays for Man United

If it was up to you, you would of had Del Piero there

    ReplyDelete
  6. I agree with you Swoosh!
There are quality strikers out there who deserve a place like
    Drogba,Shevachencko when at Milan,
    Van Nistelrooy,David Villa...
and by the end of this season "el Nino" Torres

  7. Ebi Kop End. I totally agree. It DOESNT take a blind man to see that there are much better strikers than Rooney.

From my heart without hasad and jealousy herbly i say Del Piero in his prime was much better than Rooney in skill alone.

    Lets see what Del won.
Scudetto's ,Champions League & the World Cup.

Rooney just won a Barclays premiership title.

What about Villa, Riquelme, Wesley Shneider and even Becks

You UTD Muggs are biased. If Rooney played for Liverpool there woudnt be a debate

  8. anonymous (second comment)

Ho dare you say Rooney lacks Patriotism. He rushed to get fit for the World Cup when he should have rested.

  9. Being part of a great squad that wins titles doesn't make you great! Jesper Blomqvist, Jordi Cruyff and Roque Jnr are testament to that.

Chistiano and Rooney have the same amount of honours so you can't use that as a judge. Accept it that when Shrek plays it creates a buzz and the boy has skill and talent aplenty and is only 23 years old!

You don't like him coz he looks like Shrek!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Swoosh,

I agree with you. He is a future talent, but somehow still seems raw.

He should not be on that list.(yet) I would maybe put Van Nistelrooy or Samuel Eto.

Shrek, should definately be put on the up and coming list. If he was not an "England player" the hype would not be so much.

And for the Man U supporters Christiano Ronaldo is also on the list and I do not see any "ABU's" stating he should not be there.

  11. Swoosh you cant compare Del to Rooney

Del, just like you is a doho
Rooney is just only 23 yet u want him to have achieved everything already
it just shows how highly u rate him if ur expectations of him are so high
He still has so many years to build that CV

The list is made up of current top players not players from the past

I agree that all you guys would love it if he were to play for your guys teams

u too bias and cant give credit when its due

  12. ZamRam

    Ronaldo deserves to be there
    Thats why no saying anything

  13. anonymous,

So do you agree that Rooney does NOT deserve to be there?

    ReplyDelete
  14. just to put things into perspective....
Last season old giraffe had a beta strike rate per minutes played in the prem and for england then Shrek....
Also didnt Shrek go on for like 10 months prior to the world cup and also after scoring only 1 for the Poms.
So how the hell can he be in the top 10.
The Doho Giggs in his prime was way beta.... this coming from a liverpool supporter too.
    Louis

    ReplyDelete
  15. No Doubt he is a good player. But Not TOP 10 Material. Louis you right..f3$ken rather put Giggs.

If this is the theory then f4%ken Jabu Pule Should be in the TOP TEN of African Footballers, behind DROGBA.....

BE HONEST YOU F#4KEN ALI'S. Our owes paid homage to Ronaldo as Fair, But Not Rooney..

  16. pele said he is as good as him! i think that says its all! the lad is class!

    ReplyDelete
  17. what about Cesc Febragas??? his a worthy candidate

    ReplyDelete
  18. Cristiano Ronaldo WITHOUT DOUBT deserves to be in the squad! But not Shrek! mayb and i say mayb in time to come he might just make it!

Plenty of other players like Pirlo, Inzagihi, Daniel Alves, Fred, cambiasso, zlatan, vieira, terry, nesta and not forgetting PALO MALDINI the list just grows on… could well be on this list!

    ReplyDelete
  19. The list is the current top 10 and not players from the past

Ebi kop end !!!! you do know most of these players you mentioning have past their prime and more than half of them dont play as strikers?

I agree that Rooney CURRENTLY can not be considered in the starting 11. He will probably in time but right now there is plenty of strikers who are in better form and skill than him

The blogger is not being biased.

  20. liverspuds...if rooney doesnt deserve to be there, then in all honesty so doesnt ronaldhino or eto'o for that matter!!! wot have they done in the last 12 months? 1 has been injured for most of the time n the other hasnt shown true form in 18 months!!! wot has henry done recently??

wot this list is saying is those players (in the CURRENT crop plying their trade in europe)who, whilst in form, are the most devastating!!!

under these assumptions, rooney deserves to be there....no footie fan can deny that!! GGMU

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yes I agree with GGMU

    Point taken

Kid Rock-I agree with you that the players the Kak end mentioned are nowhere near their best but I pose the same question GGMU asked, which player based on CURRENT form should take Rooneys place???

I also think that Fabregas should be on the list

    ReplyDelete
  22. "jealousy makes one nasty".

CALL HIM SHREK, CALL HIM WHATEVER ,HATE HIM OR LOVE HIM, BUT THE LAD IS THE BOSS

    "go" ROONEY !!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hey guys wayne here...The debate is outstanding.Whether I am fit to be in that squad....

Well the truth is I`m kak and I dont even near compare to those guys.

So swoosh.totally agree Im not good enough to be on that list.
