Saturday Night though was spent in the company of Legends. The 1970 Brazilian Dream Team to be exact. I represented Fordsburg.com and had to cover the Awards evening of FC MAYFAIR led by Mohammed Bhamgee. It was a star studded affair, Plenty Footballers and Celebs on hand there. Butch Cassidy who started out his event with our quote of the week
"This is in the Class of Omar Sheriff in the Lions of the Desert"
The function boasted names like Nicolas Anelka, Pepe Signori, Djibrill Cisse, Solomon Stix Morewa, Cesc Fabregas, Hershille Gibbs, Alex Del Piero and a few African Players. When I gave my speech I thought Jive will bring on Salim Salingha to infiltrate the podium on the left flank.
But it was a successful event benchmarking FC Mayfairs drive to the future and the formation and development of the youth structure, Under 6's and above.
Fordsburg.com is currently undergoing a migration to a sequal server so we down for 48 hours. The link and pictures of the awards will be under the new Sports Section.
On Sunday I was pulled out of retirement and well found the net after about two years, Hence my celebration :Berlin Here we come. I wont lie I was more in shock before I embraced the lads. Marks and Mamadee Moten, Vahzerz .............I fucken scored You Muggs. The pain and long wait is Over he he.Oh and I also squared up ahainst my La Liga writer Irfaan Adam who also got on the scoresheet with the third goal that sealed the game. An important point to note. If anyone wants a Calf workout, Just run in Melpark. The grass id freakin thick, And If you unfit it feels like you playing in thick mud.
A great way to end the goal drought drought Lol.Anyways back to the footie..........

F3cken Mancs came from behind. Riviting game. Strangely enough my toppie is a MANC, He started coming with excuses that the weather was bad bla bla. But Bourough the bastards could have clinched it in stoppage time. But we will settle for the point. Once again synonymous to brazils R & R , Ronaldo and Rooney delivered. So lets do a calculation here. The Mancs play Chelsea and lose, They lose at Arsenal. Chelsea and Arsenal win all their remaining games, and Halelujah.....The Mancs Win Nothing. 2. The Mancs go to the Nou Camp and lose. Halelujah, The Mancs get dumped out of Europe.
Now this will be an Abus Dream, But the MANCS HAVE IT ALL TO WIN AND ITS IN THEIR OWN HANDS NOW. I think they will beat Barcelona and then we will have a Liverpool vs Man Utd Final......Wishful Thinking..................I wonder
Chelsea keep up the pressure witha 2-0 win. Now Maybe we will see that wedding with the Deg Chows. Chelsea for the title. Come On the Blues. Give us some fireworks Now at the end of teh campaign. The Mancs cannot win the title. And so Chelsea and Man Utd could be a potential Championship Decider. What a big game
Elsewhere , Kevin Keegans lads are finally pulling the results, Everton keep up the pressure on Liverpool. For the rest of the teams, they f#4ked my fantasy football up he he....
SPANISH LA LIGA
Barca draw and Madrid draw. I met Riyad Loonat the Madrid Man on Saturday. He was looking confident. Barca are just not the same anymore and are F#4king it up. Ronaldinho is on his way out. But more from the La Liga in tomorows Super Tuesday by our correspondent Irfan Adam.
GERMAN BUNDESLIGA
Bayern are playing some mesmerising football. Frank "Farouk" Ribery is in sensational form. They have virtually sealed their lead. They will be welcomed into Europes elite
FORZA JUVE
F#4k I was upset last night, the only result that didnt flow my way. Juve were 2-0 down away to Palermo. I was checking ball by ball commentary on the internet. Next thing you know Del Piero scored two and the game took on some life. With ten minutes to go Trezeguet had and exellent chance. But he missed. And on teh 90 Palermo stole 3 points. Buffon was hapless, All three goals were not his fault. the gap from fourth spot Fiorentina is now 5. But thats Juve, We beat the Inters and Milans but go lose to the bottom dwellers.
Elsewher Milan, Roam, Inter and Fiorentina all won...That just made teh situation worse
some serious credit to Boro. They always a tough tema to beat at Riverside. We were actually lucky and I think can count the point gained as a blessing. As for the gooners, they are out now. it's a 2 horse race
ReplyDeletehave to agree swoosh...when crouch plays they look like a much better team, with options...crouch links the midfield with the front line...
ReplyDeleteand he got good control for a tall guy.I didn`t want arsenal to win but i dont want the mancs to win the title so i was caught up in this one...so i was happy with the draw....tommorow though only a liverpool victory will do....
the mancs stole apoint again...borough was fantastic...United `s back line is in kak...vidic gone and ferdinand...
We were lucky against Boro against whom we always seem to struggle but a points a point.
ReplyDeleteMore worrying is the injury to Rio, hopefully this is not too serious as without him and Vidic we are shaky at the back.
We should be able to see off Roma and then it's a big one, the Gooners!
Punisher
ReplyDeleteHow can the gunners be out NOW if they got one point this week and the league leader also got one
Their position has not changed from last week
Grow a brain
The united draw opens up the title race again
If both Chelsea and Arsenal beat the Mancs it will make exciting times.
Can wait for it
hey hey whats this i hear...
ReplyDeleteCrouch set to leave Anfield????
heres the story...
Sapa-AFP
FOOTBALL: CROUCH MULLING FUTURE AWAY FROM ANFIELD
Peter Crouch has confirmed that he is thinking about leaving
Liverpool this summer in pursuit of regular first-team football after
being marginalised at Anfield because of the success of Fernando
Torres.
Torres has been a huge success in his first season in English
football and it is now clear that manager Rafael Benitez regards his
most effective line-up as one in which the 28-goal Spaniard operates as
a lone forward supported by Steven Gerrard pushing forward from an
advanced central midfield position.
As a result, Crouch has made just seven starts in the Premier League
all season and, despite a fine goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Arsenal,
the England forward cannot see a "disheartening," situation changing in
the short term.
He said: "I would love to stay, it is a fantastic club and I love
everything about it, but I have got to be realistic.
"If I want to have any aspirations of playing for England, or
furthering my career, then I have to be playing - and that doesn't seem
to be the case at the moment.
"I will have to look at it - but that's certainly something I won't
be doing now, I will be doing it at the end of the season."
Crouch has been reassured by Benitez that he will get chances to
play when Liverpool operate a two-forward system and has been offered a
new contract by the club.
But the 27-year-old has not been encouraged by what he has seen
recently.
He added: "Obviously if the manager plays one up front, he is more
than likely to go with Fernando - and rightly so, he's been fantastic
this season.
"Before when he was rotating at least I was getting a game here and
there. But the manager's obviously stuck with a formation now that
seems to be working, and credit to the players that have been playing
in that system.
"We have certainly been playing well and I think we have got a great
chance of going through to the semi-finals now in Europe. For me, I
will just have to obviously keep working hard and try and change his
mind.
"It can be disheartening, but you have to keep going."
crouch will become a manc!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletecrouch rather come over to the gunners as it seems we have no strikers anymore
ReplyDeleteAdebayor-since hair cut 1 or two goals
Van persie is more worried about his injury so he is cautious
Walcott is not reliable
Bendtner is an opportunist and is luucky
so who else do we have
anon - it does make a difference because there is one game less to play which means it becomes mathematically more difficult, but you would not know that because it appears as though your brain has grown vacuously
ReplyDeletego you good thing go!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletego you good thing go!!!!!!!
go you good thing go!!!!!!!
go you good thing go!!!!!!!
go you good thing go!!!!!!!
ZK,are u sad that crouch is leaving?
ReplyDeleteWheres the Bollywood Post for the week...
ReplyDeleteanon the q should be posing is: Whether him leaving would make a difference to the team i support? (considering the fact that i do not support liver, manu or arsenal :) )
ReplyDeleteCrouch is a good player and like any other has his faults then again he has not gotten enough game time as he use to but i guess like every other player he needs to fight for his place...
