I have also decided to add to this post a little. Why is it that Bodi was not in the one day squad this year. Color aside the lad has been deserving. Even the freakin Pro 20 the man was Omitted. I met Gummi on Wednesday and we were having the same discussion. Look I know there are also sceptics out there that will criticise my post and selection request which is fair. But on form alone I base my theories.I want to ask the following question
How many chances did Kallis have before scoring?
How many chances did Rudolph have
If Hash fails in the test series, Do you owes think he will be readily given another shot as easily as Kallis, Rudolph Boje. They had about 20?
Dont we have any other spinners in this Country. Instead of Paul Adams I rather take Kieran a India guy that spans with Mamoo. That Owe can turn a f$%ken owe upside down if he could.But Polla, Come on man!

I think the selectors are too sharp for all of us. My buddies and I were having this same discussion the other night. Wheres the likes of Hashim and Bodi. Bodi for one has been a class act this season. Give him a chance in the 'A' side. The current selectors went for the likes of Bosman for the india series. Are thye setting up the players of colour to fail. Then they turn around and tell the rest of the country how the system doesn't work and players of colour keep failing. Put the players who deserve to be there in. Bodi and Hash should be in that side no matter the colour of their skin.

Hash should score tons of runs and cement a place in the test side. We all feel that they never give 'players of colour' a fair chance to prove themselves at the highest level. Even though a owe like Hash should be there based on his form alone. For Hash to really cement his place in the side, he must just score runs. Don't give them a chance to take you out of the side. Pile on the runs. Cement your place in the Test squad and run run for captaincy. You did a great job at the dolphins. Come on HASH. You can do it.

Paul Adams is the leading chinaman bowler in the history of test cricket. He was given a raw deal all along. He deserves another shot at it! i think at 29 he has matured and we will see some good things from him.
ReplyDeleteI dont think Hash's place is not in doubt. I think he is secured for the whole series and maybe even against the pakis! Bodi is not up to international standard. He has not bowled in donkeys years and at international level his batting will be exposed!

ReplyDeleteGoga is by no means a great spinner, but then who in SA is? Plus, although the owe seems like he has been around alot, he is still only 28 or so... sure, they could have given other okes a run... but goga should not have been dropped when he was in the first place... so i don't mind seeing the owe get another chance... plus, if you look at his reord in the sub-continent, he has take around 50 wkts in 12 or so matches, which is pretty good for a SA spinner.... like Lorgat said, the ball is now in his court...
As for HASH.... the boy has great things ahead, he just needs to remain calm and focused... i also think he has done enough (both domestically and internationally) to allow for him to get a fairly extended run for now... although there are other owes pushing for places, i think with Gibbs recent form he might be dropped before Amla (assuming both of them fail in future matches)...
