SPECIAL ONE AT ANFIELD

L iverpool Targeting Jose Mourinho To Replace Rafa Benitez - Report
The Reds are lining up a new gaffer, and they want him to be extra Special...Mike Maguire

Rafael Benítez UK tabloid The Sun claims that Premier League giants Liverpool have been sounding out Jose Mourinho, the Inter coach, as a potential replacement for Rafael Benitez. The latter trainer's future at Anfield has come under intense scrutiny in recent weeks, and it was reported recently that he had decided to leave at the end of the season due to contractual issues. However, following the Reds' landmark 1-0 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday, the Spaniard declared that he would not leave Merseyside.Nevertheless, such was the state of unrest before the Bernabeu clash, club co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett began mulling over possible candidates to man the helm - and Mourinho was singled out.The former Chelsea boss announced recently that he would like to return to England at some point, and he has often been linked with Manchester United and his old haunt at Stamford Bridge. An unnamed source said, “The Americans [Hicks and Gillett] had read Mourinho was interested in returning to the Premier League and wanted to know if he meant it.“But it wasn’t a firm approach or a job offer. It was more a case of testing the water in case Rafa did decide to walk out.” Liverpool came close to appointing the self-styled 'Special One' before eventually settling on Benitez back in 2004, and they could yet mount another assault should the current incumbent continue to wrangle for more control over transfers.

HOW IMPORTANT WILL THE SPECIAL ONE BE AT ANFIELD? I think it will make a huge difference, Bring Jose I say

In UEFA CUP Shakes, Ancelotti must go now, The mighty Milan were dumped out of the competion after being 2-0 up. Werder equalised and news also that David Beckham is returning to LA. City won, whilst Tottenham and Valencia were amongst the Big names out

  1. F*&K Benitez..
    Bring in the Special One.
I personally think its time for change.

And Lucas, Dossena, Kuyt must be part of the farewell committe and leave with him..

2nd just isnt good enuf anymore. We need someone with BOLS. Who doesnt make a sub only after 68 minutes of the game is played.

And manages to keep the core of a side without rotating players like a merry go round.. Liverpool are NOT Valencia.. That shit might have worked with them, but NOT at Anfield..

I cant recall and maybe someone has that stat.. But DID WE WIN a GAME with Lucas starting.. What a mediocre player he is. No where near Big 4 classification..

Who knows. Maybe RAFA isnt the problem. Maybe its Hicks, Gillet and Parry.. Maybe they are the root cause. However so, LIVERPOOL NEED CHANGE.. and they need it ASAP..

You cant beat chelski and united and then go on to draw to fulham, west ham, man city, stoke and co.. Thats a sin.

  2. As for AC Milan.. They just plain shite. They need a full revamp. Get rid of the old and in with the new.. Get players who have a thirst for victory. Young blood.. get rid of the has beens.. Okes like Seedorf, Nesta, Inzaghi etc are all past their peak. Get in okes with vooma and see the difference..

Its sad to see a club of that calibre going down the gutters.. Screw Beckham.. His another has been.. Whos career is only active due to media.. Unless they buy him for marketing purposes..

  3. Rafa knows that Lucas messed up time and time again. Yet he keeps on playing him.

Against Portsmouth you would swear that Liverpool were 10 points clear with the line up he played.

Jose would p@#s Fergie off and all teh other managers and he is the injection we need

  6. fuck the special one!
FIRST it was the Nou Camp, then the San Siro and now even the mighty Bernabeu has fallen to Rafa Benitez’s Liverpool.

Three cathedrals of European football, three of the toughest places for any team to win and yet all of them have found to their cost that when it comes to continental conquest the Spanish manager has few peers.

  7. ABU point taken

But in the premiership He just rotates and his purchases are not worthy of a EPL Title.

If any team wants to win Europe then RAFA is the MAN

  9. Why are United so much more successful than the scouse bastards??? Coz the fans and club have stuck by their gaffer thru it all. There were times where Fergie made mistakes, but we didn't call for his head and 22 years later, look at us ... Champions of England, Champions of Europe and Champions of the World. Do you think we would have been as successful if we had a bunch of retard fans calling for a new manager every other season???

  11. No force on earth can make liverflops a good team. They are useless and the name says it all LIVERFLOPS!!!!!! You can bring whoever you want, even make Fergie manager of scouzers but if a team is called liverpool then that team is destined for failure. I say give the club up and start a new club!!! How about the name "we almost won in 19 years". Guys any names for liverflops when they get bankrupt?

  12. This is like taking candy from a baby. We don;t play in the EPL this weekend due to the small cup that we are in the finals of and yet we find ourselves not losing any ground in the leadership of teh EPL. This is great. As a MUFC fan all I can say is that in Rafa I trust

  13. Oh yes you did Mr Cassim. Ferguson failed to win anything in his first couple of years and only winning the FA Cup saved his job. If you read his autobiography it clearly states that he was about to lose his job at the time.
So stop talking kak. How many managers did you guys go through when you were winning fokkol?

  15. Hello this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use
WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.

I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding knowledge so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
