Well finally back to winning ways. Liverpool beating Wigan 2-1 No fireworks.Imagine it has come to that. Just winning and we have something to gloat about. Ngog got the first and Torres the second. What would we do without El Nino.
For the title race though Villa continued winning and so did the MANCS. But why did Wolves play or field such a shit team against the MANCS. The MANCS won and the stinkers Arsenal go and draw. But thats Arsenal for you. You cant trust those bastards.....And as for Chelsea well Lampard penalty got them a vital 3 points. After POMPEY equalised a reckless tackle gave Chelsea the three points.

Well. I have packed the suit away in the cupboard. It looks bleak now. Despite Liverpools fans optimism.We needed three points. And I just knew it when I seen Ashavin in the line up.I knew that this ba@#ard will hurt us, and hurt he did. Scoring four past a shoddy Liverpool defense. but what a GAME.I couldn't believe the score line and once again Liverpool scored four and conceded four. Torres was brilliant and so was the underated Ben Ayoun, but no matter how much we say and convince ourselves that it was the match of the season bla bla we came away with a point.Just not good enough.



No dispute about Benitez selection,it was spot on I thought, but we gifted Ashavin the third goal. IL give UGB a SAY on his one Theory.3-2,3-3 4-3.We were done and dusted. 4-4. Sms's were just flowing.



What made it worse is that Chelsea drew and teh MANCS beat POMPEY. And despite so many Liverpool fans pinning their hopes on POMPEY ...the old man GIGGS turned out a master class performance to set up a 2-0 victory which UTD could have won by lots more. Again we see the importance of Scholes and Giggs in killing the game in midfield.The Toppie should have used them in the FA Cup semi.
And once again now all the focus is on Arsenal to rip the MANCS Apart. The question is Will they do it or buckle under the pressure.

In other Football news Juves misery continued when they were dumped out of the Copa Italia by Lazio and Madrid beat Getafe 3-2.

Well, Liverpool beat Sunderland last nite thanks to goals from Ngog and Ben Ayoun. Its no big hoo ha as it all depends if Newcaste can take some points against the MANCS. Is it possible. I dont think so.

I didnt watch the game but the three points was important. Chelsea also kept up the pressure with a win over POMPEY and finally Arsenal scored and won.The stinkers have finally moved on after going for Van De Sars record.

Whats up with with Lucas Leiva. He just seems to be selling us against Everton. Yesterday his red card benchmarked Liverpools uphill struggle and then again Everton STOLE in the 12oth minute and Liverpool are dumped out of the league. I Disagree. I remember in the 80's as a lity when we used to go to Riyad Loonats house time and time again and we used to make a yearly pilgrimadge in May to watch the FA CUP, WHICH HAD LIVERPOOL IN IT OF COURSE. Me and my bro wearing the respective merchandise Riyads father used to bring for us. Riyad and my bro were Linekers toffees and me and a few other couzins Liverpool. We couldnt wait for half time. Running out and playing for 15 minutes , then getting back and hearing the roar when Dalglish and Co lifted the FA CUP. Thats what the FA CUP WAS ABOUT. Making your way up Wembly and as soon as you lift the Cup you hear the roar. It was pride and it belonged to Liverpool.

And now sadly last night we are dumped out of this historical cup.

Could this be the sign of a repetition of yet nother year when it goes pear shaped. I dunno. I open it up to the Kop owes to say their say.

The Mandela Cup was nice to watch. Azee smsd me to lambast me as usual. But how was Teco Modise. Putting Bafana Bafana in the lead with a Belter. Then a second but Bafana in the lead.
Then immediately the Muggs like Azee and them smsd to say wheres your mouth. And typical they conceded two. You have to shore up a two goal lead. Its essential. Undertood it was a friendly and Cameroon were minus a few stars..like Eto but the game was fast paced in Rustenburg. SA eventually got the winner and Modise missed out on his hatrick. Our guys just cant kick penalties.

For a change SA vs Austrailia was a result to savour. 2-2.Tico Modise scored a cracker. But with less than two years to go for the World Cup, Does this team have what it takes to go beyond the group stages. It was the Ozzies minus Guus................

A piece of magic from playmaker Teko Modise in the 58th minute earned Bafana Bafana a hard-fought 2-2 draw in a friendly international played at the Loftus Road Stadium, London, on Tuesday night.
Modise's goal was the highlight the match, but new Bafana coach Joel Santana left with more questions than answers.
The Socceroos had the better of the first 45 minutes. They were well organised and quicker to the ball.
Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune looked shaky from the start and never settled down in the first 45 minutes, coming off his line too early and must take some of the blame for both goals scored in a lively opening half.
It was no surprise that the out of touch Santana played his tried and tested despite saying he would bring in new blood.
Skipper and central defender Aaron Mokoena played at centre half despite the fact this match is being used to prepare for next month's crucial African Nations Cup qualifier against Nigeria in Port Elizabeth.
Mokoena is suspended for that match and should have been rested.
This was Santana¢s chance to have a look at the likes of Bevan Fransman alongside Nasief Morris as the centre back pairing.
Once again Santana showed his lack of imagination by using his stock two defensive midfielders in Macbeth Sibaya and Kagisho Dikgacoi when a more adventurous system will be needed against Nigeria.
Santana promised to also use this game to have a look at new blood and he bottled it when the score was 2-2.
He did bring on Moroka Swallows' Lefa Tsutsulupa for his first cap when he replaced McCarthy in the 73rd minute. It was just reward for the 28-year-old Birds midfielder's efforts in helping a SA Development side retain the Cosafa Cup against Mozambique on home soil recently.
If Santana plays this formation against Nigeria, Bafana will struggle to get the three points they desperately need to keep their slender hopes of qualifying for the 2010 Afcon tournament in Angola alive.
Australia did most of the attacking early in the half. Bradley Carnell of German side Karlsruhe made a welcome return at left back, adding experience and well timed tackles.

Khune did well to shot a well hit shot from Scott McDonald in the 31st minute but he completely missed a 33rd-minute cross from Lucas Neil that was luckily also missed by the Socceroos' Josh Kennedy, a teammate of Carnell at Karlsruhe.
But Kennedy managed to outjump Khune and headed home Bresciano's free kick in the 38th minute to put the Socceroos 2-1 ahead.
Bafana tried hard to get back into the game and Schwarzer did well to block a dangerous cross form Bryce Moon in the 51st minute.
Sibaya was fractionally wide with a long-range shot after 55 minutes as Bafana tried to get back into the game.
Then came a piece of Modise brilliance in the 58th minute. McCarthy started the move with another clever back heel to Moon, who set up the Orlando Pirates playmaker who let rip with an unstoppable shot giving Schwarzer, who plays in the English Premiership for Fulham, no chance and levelling the game at 2-2.
Both Carnell and Morris were wide awake and focused and both managed to clear dangerous balls when Khune went walk about inside his area as the tiring Socceroos looked for the winner.
But Bafana held their shape and held on for a deserved draw.
However, they will find the Super Eagles of Nigeria a lot tougher proposition in Port Elizabeth on September 6 when there are points at stake in the penultimate Group Four Afcon qualifier.
